Closing Folders
I started using Closing Folders pre-pandemic and I was able to switch from being in the office with the other members of the deal team to working remotely. The deals in process were able to proceed seemlessly despite such a jarring change.
- One of the features I like most is the ease of importing documents from our document management system to Closing Folders
- With many cloud solutions which do not integrate with our DM this is a multistep process
- Closing Folders addresses this by being able to send documents from our DM directly to the deal on the platform
- Added bonus was the integration with DocSign
- For users not familiar with running deals in a paper based world the leaning curve can be a bit steep but very short
- Excellent help is available

Very satisfied user cannot sing Closing Folder's praises enough
Incredibly positive. Again, I cannot stress just how much I am genuinely fond of this product. It makes my work life much easier, and also is a very powerful productivity tool for tracking the status of deliverables. There's something very satisfying about having a fully customizable and organized agenda.

- I also *love* schedules, and the ability to link other items as schedules
- The share feature to export lots of files at once is perfect, as is the snapshot feature
- I would, of course, be remiss not to mention my appreciation of the closing books system as well
- There is very very little that I do not like about Closing Folders
- Admittedly, I use Closing Folders much more frequently as a personal closing agenda and tracker, so I do not have much experience with multiple teams accessing the same deal
- However, from what I have experienced, that does seem to work well, even if it is not my preferred use method
- It would be very, very nice if Closing Folders could automatically turn Excel spreadsheets into PDF files
- Currently, I have to go to excel and print to PDF, choosing a paper size or zoom that fits the information within a single page, then upload that to Closing Folders
- If anything changes in the excel file, I have to repeat this process; this is a bit of a hassle
- I don't know how difficult it would be to add something like this, but that would be a huge update in my books

Difference Maker to my Practice
I think what really made a difference with the Closing Folders experience was the initial onboarding and how we could call someone 24/7. As a lawyer, working late is unfortunately not a rare occurrence and so during that initial learning curve, it was very helpful to have access to someone and really understand the capabilities of the product.
- It allows me to manage the documents, signatures, and closing mechanics of a transaction very efficiently
- It has been easy to use, and I appreciate that the features and improvements to the processes are constantly being assessed
- It also allows me to keep a record of the transactions I have completed and provide more insight to they types of deals and data we are handling
I didn't like that we couldn't create a test file for any internal training or learning but rather we had to keep that file open and just repurpose it

- It's a simple and very efficient tool that saves me a lot of time when managing a closing
- What makes Closing Folders exceptional is its customer service
- They are responsive at all hours, even on weekends

- There's definitely more functions that could be integrated
- I started using Closing Folders in 2021 and there haven't been major changes
- Perhaps its indicative of good product-market fit, but I think there is always room for improvements
- The new signature auto-detect function is a step in the right direction

Stop managing your closing checklist in Microsoft Word
Clothing folders has helped me become a more organized and efficient transactional attorney. It’s simple, user interface and integration with I manage has allowed me to adopt its regular use very quickly.
- Closing Folders is a great product to replace your word document checklists
- I love that all my transaction documents are linked to my checklist and that I can manage signatures and counterparts all in one place
- The user interface is very intuitive and I found it easy to get used to
- I don’t like that the document name is locked into a the first column
- I would prefer to have free movement of the column order

User-Friendly, Time-Saving Tool for Transactions
Having experienced closings in the “old school” way (e.g. printing out stacks of documents, going around the room for signatures) and then through the transition to DocuSign, I can say Closing Folders has been a real game-changer. It takes what is often a stressful and administratively heavy process and makes it much smoother. By automating the tedious parts of closing, it allows lawyers to focus on the deal itself rather than chasing signatures or organizing binders. It has definitely simplified one of the most challenging aspects of transactional work.
- I like that Closing Folders is very easy to use, with a clean and intuitive interface that makes it simple to track documents, organize signature pages, and manage closing checklists
- It streamlines what can otherwise be a very manual, time-consuming process and makes it much easier to coordinate among multiple parties
- I especially like that it reduces back-and-forth emails and automatically generates a polished closing book at the end of the transaction
- At times the platform can be a bit slow, particularly when editing or updating checklist items
- There is also limited customization, like no italicized or bold text, or colors
- It would be a great option for the interface to be customized or tailored to match a firm's internal style or marketing/brand guidelines

Great organizational tool for transactions
I have had a very positive overall experience using Closing Folders for various kinds of transactional work.
Well thought-out features and convenient organizational tool, and closing agenda importing feature is very quick
Signature detection and matching is occasionally off, and editing text in the various item description fields can be annoying
