About FastDesk

FastDesk is a desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) solution designed to help businesses access, and audit manage remote desktops using virtualization techniques. Hosted on DDoS-protected cloud infrastructure, it enables IT teams store and retrieve application data via a web browser or any Windows, macOS, Android and iOS devices. Administrators can provide secure workplace desktop access to remote employees using two-factor authentication, device verification, role-based permissions and other functionality. Additionally, managers can control the privilege rights of users and provide an hour or IP-based custom access across files, databases and applications. It includes customizable branding capabilities, which lets businesses modify the login page with the brand logo, background image and contact details. Pricing is available on monthly subscriptions and support is extended via phone, documentation, email and other online measures.

Review

Generally I think they are good and reliable

What they liked
  • The platform is reliable and it is good to be able to access it wherever you are working
  • The support is good and they normally manage to resolve issues quickly
Room for improvement

The numerous usernames and passwords required to use all the features and the Shared Folders function is fiddly as you can't create a new folder without going into the admin area and it also doesn't block a second user from working on the same document when you are

Review

Have had a good experience overall, support is good and when i did have a recent issue with some new software the support team were very helpful and available. We did have some initial issues but these were resolved and I am pleased to say that we are really pleased with the service.

What they liked
  • It's easy to use and migration was professional
Room for improvement
  • Start up could be quicker
  • Zoom quality is not as good as normal desk top

We had terrible downtime and was being run really amateurishly. I accused them of having a not fit for purpose facility

Does what it is supposed to

Easy.

What they liked

Easy integration, very rare downtime, just sits and does what it is supposed to, which is the highest compliment in my book

Room for improvement

Well if one wanted to be really picky I suppose it would always be nice to have a faster 'log in/start up' time
