Easier interface, recommended to use it!!
Earlier accessing all client accounts at once place and integrating the same with verified calculations was a tedious task. However, with ProConnect tax this issue is resolved and it serves as a genie for all your and your client tax needs at one place. The ease of execution is commendable.
- The interface is very good and calculations are accurate
- It incorporates various time saving features like Docusign/8879 e-signature, K-1 import etc
- Further detailed worksheets are available to understand the exact calculations
- Its a time saver and best tax cal buddy in the available segment
- The pricing is a bit on a higher side and compared to it's competitors it seems costly
- Further a better customer/user support is required
- A promt response is what we expect as a user
- Some improvement needed

Tax User - Small practice >400 clients
I have used ProConnect for the last two years and thought he price point is higher than the industry average, what it provides justifies the price in my opinion.
- I enjoy the UI vs other competitors
- Its easy to navigate and allows for cross analyzing data YoY
- The ability to navigate is understated based on clientele
- Compared to the competition, there isnt much I would dislike just due to the fact it seems ProConnect has taken steps to become more efficient
- The only con would be the price

Reliable Tax Prep Marred by Persistent Bugs and Rising Costs will eventually be the largest cost for Intuit
The user experience is acceptable overall. The software would be significantly better with fewer bugs and improved customer support. From personal experience, Intuit's support team lacks consistency. More concerning is their poor retention of quality support staff - they terminate experienced representatives for minor errors that should be addressed through coaching rather than dismissal. When you have excellent support staff who've been with the company for years with clean records, a single mistake should be a learning opportunity, not grounds for termination. The replacements often can't match the expertise and dedication of the dismissed employees.
- The software functions adequately for basic tax preparation needs
- Bank products are available and tracking for time in returns and tax prep plans are also a great use feature
- The software has persistent bugs that raise serious reliability concerns
- I regularly question data accuracy and fear incorrect information could be transmitted to the IRS
- The most alarming problem occurs when client and firm data becomes cross-contaminated - one client's information incorrectly appears in another firm's records
- At $99 per user (even for single users), the pricing is excessive
- The recent price increases for new integrations that most users neither requested nor need make this worse
- Since many of us don't require multi-user features, why should we pay premium prices while existing bugs remain unresolved and new features are prioritized over fixing current issues

Poor customer support and product reliability at the time.

ProConnect Tax
My overall experience is great and I like the integration with Quickbooks so it saves time on manual entries. The pay per return is more expensive if you are not doing a lot of tax returns but it is more efficient than some other tax softwares that I have used.
- I like that it imports my Quickbooks online data directly into the tax return
- It also imports most W-2's and 1099's so you data entry errors are reduced and saves time
- I feel like the document collection link could be better
- When my clients had issues with uploading their documents, I could not help them because I could not see what it looked like on their side
Switched From
I made the switch because I liked that Proconnect Tax integrates with QuickBooks.

Easy to use, accurate returns, but a little pricey
Overall, the Proconnect is easy to use and calculations are accurate. The fact that it's cloud based is a huge plus as it eliminates the need to maintain your own PC's updated and backed up.
- The software is fully cloud based, which is very convenient
- There is no need to manage PC back ups or updates as it is all managed by the software on their servers
- Although it's a great software, it is a bit pricey at $95 per return
- Unless you're working with super high income clients, it's hard to justify the pricing of this software

I received a promo and decided to give it a try.

Our favorite tax prep software
Overall, my experience with ProConnect Tax has been very positive. It is our firm's go-to software for all of our tax prep.
Our team really loves the "tax prep" integration with QuickBooks Online, among some other features that are built into ProConnect
- I wish that Intuit Link was a little easier to work with
- It feels like customizing the info that we send to clients through there often takes longer than it should because some type of error or weird functionality issue

Good Value for Money
Overall, the software is good value for money, tech support is readily available. Good product overall.
- Software has a lot of great features
- The functionality is pretty good, however, the Intuit Link can be a bit frustrating at times
- Software includes many features designed compliment and encourage a paperless and online (virtual) environment
- There were instances where certain updates appear to result in diminished functionality
- particularly with the Intuit Link
- There was a time when users could download all client provided documents with one click, a couple upgrades later, that feature was removed
- In my opinion, the Intuit Link functionality does not address the fact that our client base includes users who are still not comfortable with technology use
- It is not possible to send paperless copies of business returns to clients, this just irks me
- Some of the tech support folks need a lot more training in the product, and too many of them do not have any understanding of tax preparation

Easy to Use
Financial Services
- Software is very easy to use
- I am able to save significant time by saving and returning
- I am also able to archive old data, making overall use much easier
- Wish there were some easier tools to searching for answers to specific tax questions/criteria as your filling out your forms so you make less mistakes and do not have to backtrack
- I also wish the fee was smaller

Great opportunity to get first-hand experience before committing....
I wanted a more professional and reliable software option vs just utilizing Turbo Tax, Tax Act, H&R Block, etc. I truly think that if I can find a way to justify the expense, ProConnect will be the choice for me. It is straight-forward yet extensive and allows me to feel like I'm offering a more professional and useful product to my clients.
- I appreciate the straight forward and no "fluff" aspect of the software vs other options that are more common like turbo tax and h&r block
- Those options hit you with all kinds of unnecessary info and then on top of that if you don't know what you're doing you are liable to miss tax breaks and refund growing credits
- I'm still trying to find a reliable and similar option to ProConnect because I dunno if my small clientele will be enough to justify spending the money to own the software
- I would be thrilled if they offered an option that charged per filed return or something along those lines

Amazing tool and Best online/cloud software for taxes
Overall, I think this is the best product out there for remote tax preparers and consultants. I love it and accept it for the minimal flaws I've seen. I also know that they are constantly working on updating and improving the software, so complaints are taken seriously.
- I LOVE that you can perform tax projections for free before committing to purchasing anything
- I also love that it is a cloud software you can access anywhere online and it is super fast
- One more thing that is a great feature is the connection to Quickbooks Online so you don't have to enter the P&L by hand
- It will pull in the data straight from the software (they talk to eachother
- )
- All intuit products will randomly log you out without warning or saving your work, so you have to be saving things constantly
- I also don't love that you have to pay in bulk based on the amount of clients you expect to have - I'm a new business and don't really know how many clients I'll have yet :(
