Review
Inventory managment, in our previous system we thought was ok. It was non existent in reality. Now we have a system which is easy to manage large inventory values and using the vendor stock feed makes that process even simpler.
Stock managment, ease of ordering , receipting, quoting and invoicing is very simple and easy to teach new staff
- Barcodes cannot be uploaded through vendor stock feed
- Some titles of stock code pricing can be contradicting

We could not afford to not switch. Reckon was ok, but our high volume of transactions, daily invoicing and having a full on retail counter made the decision to change easy

Jim2 is a wonderful software developed by great developers and supported by helpful admins
Jim2 engine is great. We use the cloud and it's up time is very impressive. If there are any issues they are quite to resolve. The people behind Jim2 are wonderful to work with. Very customer-centric and always willing to help.
- Easy to use Always bringing out new modules or improving existing ones
- Happen business built and own Jim2 so theres alot of room for customisation if out of the box solutions need to be refined to fit our business needs
- Alot of long term staff in the business which makes it very easy to communicate and get things done
- I think they can be better in terms of being more of a presence online such as bank reconciliations (which they are currently in development)
- Good thing about Happen is they listen to feedback, over my 8+ years with them they have a cloud version of Jim2 and added API's that work wonderfully with my 3rd party website
Why they chose it
"We liked how Happen business are the owners of Jim2 and we did not have to go through a 3rd party reseller. The benefit of this was they could have more say on the customisation we could do in the software. At the time they did not have a cloud/web version, but the web version at the time were either too expensive or lacked the core compenents. We are grateful they worked hard on getting us that Cloud version!"

Jim2 is Great!
Jim 2 saved us a huge amount of time processing orders, running reports, and completing our business analysis each month. It has been the cornerstone of us being able to service our customers well.
- It is simple and easy to use
- We use it to run our entire business and rely on it heavily
- It is also being improved constantly, which in turn helps us improve the way we run our business
- We love pretty much all aspects of Jim 2
- There could be a better way to handle product returns to vendors but the system is so versatile you can always work out a way to process things easily

- The senior managers of the business are constantly asking for and implementing improvements which is making our business a lot more efficient and professional to our clients
- In the early years there was very little development

We love Jim2!
It is an incredibly well built, customisable, comprehensive job, inventory and accounting management software. I have worked with many ERP systems and I am yet to find one that does all the functionality that Jim2 does as well as Jim2 does. I have used some similar systems and they are clunky, ugly and you need a masters in coding to understand how the system works. I love that Jim2 is modular, the functionality is the same throughout the system, whether it be project, quote, job, PO or manufacturing. Jim2 gives you LOTS of warning to not make a mistake, as a bookkeeper who cleans up peoples mistakes, I appreciate this.
- In my opinion, Jim2's strength is its inventory management but the functionality about the software is my favourite part
- The level of traceability and linking throughout document management, Purchase and Job management through to accounts makes my life as a bookkeeper 100% easier
- Because everything is there I don't need to ask as many questions, and if I do, thanks to the transparent user commenting I know exactly who I need to ask
- Multi-currency is a breeze in Jim2, better than other software systems I have used
- Jim2 is user friendly, you don't need an IT degree to use it and understand it, this is a huge win
- I know that many other accounting software platforms have live bank feeds and it's a commonly requested and expected function for all accounting software now
- My personal preference is to skip the Jim2 bank feed as it is an upload not live feed in, and process bank reconciliation as a standalone function
- Less of an issue with the software just a personal preference to not use this element

Jim2 in Important part of every part of our business
Jim2 is so customisable that it allowed us to move from multiple applications to one unified solution for every part of our business.
- Jim2 gives the the ability to see all aspects of our business, from the accounts, stock inventory and ordering
- To profitability of machines, staff or suppliers
- It is really so easy to use once setup
- If I had to find one thing I don't like about Jim2 it is no Android support
- That's it, everything else is great

It became too complicated switching between a CRM and an ERP and having to migrate information across to other applications to get the full picture for our business.

Our company has realized numerous benefits since working with Jim2. Stock holdings have reduced, margins have increased, staff interaction with all parts of Jim2 have increased. I would not want or expect to need to look for a software package out side of Jim2 for my business in the future.
