Solid auth provider
I’ve run Stake Social for 5 years and Kinde basically gave me an ops and infra team. The things that normally derail SaaS projects, auth, billing, permissions, and all the ugly edge cases were handled out of the box. I got to production faster and could iterate on my actual product, not the boilerplate. When I hit a snag or needed an edge-case feature, support was quick and pragmatic. There’s a clear product vision and the platform keeps improving, which is more than I can say for most dev tools I’ve used.
* Bundles the painful stuff (auth, billing, feature flags) so I can focus on my actual product * Setup was fast * API and UI feel designed for builders * Responsive, human support, not the black hole you get with bigger platforms * The platform actually evolves quickly based on user feedback (unusual in SaaS infra)
One of the super edge case requirements I had wasn't there out of the box, but the plus side was I could bring my own code to run in their workflows feature to fill that gap anyway

I found Auth0 quite expensive and clunky to integrate. Support was a nightmare

Amazing customer support from a team who care about their product and their customers
Kinde handles all of our authentication requirements, including allowing us to offer our customers seamless enterprise SSO with MS Azure AD.
- During onboarding, the Kinde team offered an amazing amount of support
- I didn't feel like I was just another ticket in the queue
- They offered genuine/non-generic advice and code examples on how best to implement Kinde with my app
- They followed up with me to make sure I was happily up and running
I found a couple of minor bugs in their PHP SDK, but after reporting them, their engineers jumped on fixing them and made sure to let me know when the fix was made available
