About SevenRooms

SevenRooms is a cloud-based reservation and guest management platform designed to help restaurants, hotels, clubs and enterprises acquire, engage and manage clients. Features include request management, payment processing, tagging, customer segmentation, event ticketing and reporting. The application enables team members to handle multi-channel bookings, record guest details within a centralized CRM database and notify waitlisted customers via SMS. SevenRooms also helps businesses manage order deliveries or pick-ups, collect service feedback and save customer preferences by maintaining their order histories. Marketers can use the solution to create personalized campaigns for an audience group and analyze the performance by measuring return on investment (ROI). SevenRooms offers open API, which enables businesses to integrate with various third-party platforms such as OpenTable, FaceBook, Instagram, TripAdvisor, Stripe, Twilio, MailChimp, TravelClick and more. It comes with a mobile application for iOS. Pricing is available on request and support is provided via phone and online measures.

Game Changer

SevenRooms has played a major role in our recovery program with our customers. If a guest has an experience that did not live up to expectations, we know about it...and we fix it! It is another layer of hospitality that our entire company has bought into. The unique part of SevenRooms is the ability to customize its use. Our company has found creative functionality that enhances a guest’s overall experience.

  • TripleSeat integration comes with major limitations for us
  • Triple seat is forcing our hand to lock tables that we simply can’t do operationally for many reasons

My honest review about sevenrooms

I would give sevenrooms a 7/10 In terms of user friendly interface.

What they liked

I like the customization regarding the events section and customizing the shifts for special events etc

Room for improvement

It can be tricky when making new shifts (sometimes they conflict and you have no idea why they do not work or they overlap when you try again)

Switched From

We have two venues under our umbrella. We trialed using OpenTable at one of our venues while keeping sevenroom at the second venue. After 1.5 years of using OpenTable, we made the switch to have both venues operate with sevenrooms

In love with SevenRooms!

Our venue is using SevenRooms since years and I cannot recommend it enough. Comparing it with other platforms, it is super easy to use and there are a lot of automations that you can set up that are very helpful to run your service smoothly.

What they liked
  • SevenRooms is a great platform for restaurant reservations
  • It is easy to use and the customer service is always helpful and able to assist in every way they can
Room for improvement
  • Roughly a year ago the reporting section changed and it was not easy to familiarize with it at the beginning
  • The previous reporting was easier to navigate

Good, but needs work

Overall, I think SevenRooms is a good platform and service, but I think it could be much more user friendly and the app is also impossible to use. There are lots of ways it could be improved!

What they liked

I like that SevenRooms allows our restaurant to function by organizing reservations and gathering notes on members and frequent diners

Room for improvement

I wish that SevenRooms was able to integrate with our other platforms that help us run a members' club and I've noticed that there are some glitches, like the platform assuming that tables are always overbooked

Sevenrooms Helps our Business Market more to Guests

Love using Sevenrooms for our two venues! It's been a great experience having these platform connect with all of our other systems for booking

We use the platform for all booking reservations, marketing events and email blast and it also aligns with our event Software Tripleseat

Room for improvement

The marketing section isn't as advanced as OpenTable as the reach that the system isn't as advanced but it will get there

SevenRooms Review

Company has been using SR for over 3 + years and it is perfect tool for operating our client database between 7+ properties. It helps us maintain our guest experience with customized features that are easy to use and really allow us know our guests better.

  • 1)Sometimes loading glitches
  • 2)Unfortunately our POS system future does not work with SR- not SR's fault but it would make our lives easier to track spends at our more high volume properties

Love SevenRooms

I love SevenRooms. It is amazing and easy to use. I just wish that we could access the features that come from integration of our POS.

They do not integrate with BreadCrumb, you have to use/pay for OpenTable on top of your monthly cost

This is great!

Even though we selected another reservation software, I was impressed with the customer service and timely responses.

What they liked

I feel like SevenRooms is a hidden gem although we ultimately decided on a different reservation system

  • It is a tad more costly than we were anticipating
  • Our big deal breaker was we could not utilize SevenRooms for out B&B properties as well as restaurants
