Probably the least expensive VPN out there, if you don't mind dealing with a few easy hiccups
Overall if you just need a basic VPN that is inexpensive, you can't go wrong. If you're looking for more advanced features with ease of use you may want to look elsewhere.
- If you can get TorGuard on sale, it is by far the least expensive VPN option out there
- My average monthly cost was just over $2
- They have gotten significantly better since I first started using them, and have a dedicated application where you just login, select your server and hit go
- Their website and how to setup passwords and other features can be a bit confusing
- Most of this information you can just avoid, as for the average user you won't need any of these features
- Getting them to forward ports for me through the server I had chosen to use was a slow process and didn't really work too well

- The main pro here is having the option to pass through TOR network as an extra layer of anonymity
- Sometimes I noticed speed degradation
- Also, relying on OpenVPN client for some platform lacks many important features such as auto-reconnect and random server selection

Have to update manually for newer versions, even though older ones work as fine it does not have an auto-update function

TorGuards works great and my choice for Linux
From my point of view, TorGuard is one of the best VPN client for Linux. If you care about the VPN performance, TorGuard is very good.
- I've been using TorGuard for a few months and I can say that it works really well
- I used it on Linux and Mac laptops
- The app is very simple to use, all the setting is available in the drop-down list
- You might choose any server in 50 countries, which is really perfect
- The connection is just a little slower with TorGuard, so I actually forget that it's even running in the background
- TorGuard doesn’t seem to disappoint at all
