Saves a ton of time, effort and hassle!

Visdum is a great tool for comp management and commission tracking. Its versatility in creating and administering commission plans, enabling administrators to effectively manage compensation throughout the payout cycle, from the initial routing of sales compensation plans via DocuSign to sales reps, through to the point where they earn their commissions and receive payment, right down to making journal entries to the accounting system, is remarkable.

What they liked
  • Visdum has surpassed expectations
  • Having worked with various comp tools over the last 5 years, Visdum stands out as the most user-friendly and adaptable option
  • It not only provides transparency for sales representatives but is also straightforward for sales leaders
  • It has very thoughtful features, such as the What-if calculator that they call "Estimator" (enabling reps to forecast potential earnings from future deals), an integrated ticketing system (the Dispute/Inquiry feature), customizable commission statements, reports, dashboards, and approval workflows
Room for improvement
  • There isn't anything specific I dislike about the tool
  • For those unfamiliar with Visdum and with excel/google sheets, the plan logic and formulas might initially seem peculiar, or certain features (like Reporting Engine) may appear challenging
  • However, with some training and familiarization, these features also become logical and straight forward

The primary challenge addressed by Visdum was the reliance on Excel sheets and calculators for compensation management. While it was possible to manage with those tools, the goal was to offer something more user-friendly and transparent for employees, enhancing their overall experience Excel didn’t give us any clarity into our commission calculations. Dispute queries between sales reps and finance were through the roof.

As a Sales Manager, my experience with Visdum has been overwhelmingly positive. One of the standout features of Visdum is its ability to present key sales commission information in a clear and easy-to-understand format. This is crucial for me as it allows me to quickly access essential data such as previous and upcoming payouts, as well as transaction breakdowns, without feeling overwhelmed.

  • The interface is straightforward and fast to navigate when I want access to details like my previous payouts, upcoming payouts, and transaction breakdowns
  • Pages load quickly
  • The layout is very good overall
  • I've never felt frustrated or unable to find what I’m looking for
  • My favorite feature, however, is the Estimator - this pipeline estimator helps me forecast potential earnings from future deals

  • I enjoy using the platform because of its simplicity and their efficient customer support
  • So, I haven't encountered any negatives yet
  • It's met my requirements well

Smooth and seamless onboarding

My experience with Visdum has been largely positive, with a few minor challenges along the way. One of the standout features of Visdum is its seamless integration with Salesforce. The ability to easily import users and create and schedule data flows has streamlined our processes and made managing sales commissions much more efficient.

What they liked
  • Integrating Salesforce, importing users, creating and scheduling data flows was surprisingly intuitive and painless
  • Sheer simplicity in calculating commissions, enabling us to review and publish commission statements for sales to view
  • We've received very positive feedback from our employees on Visdum's interface and the clarity it brings to commissions and the underlying calculations
  • Our onboarding and implementation was smooth, detailed, and they dedicated time to ensure we clearly grasped how plans are setup, promptly addressing any inquiries we had
Room for improvement
  • The reporting engine can be somewhat hard to grasp initially, but once set up, the reports are straightforward to manage
  • Our challenge lies in managing several plan variations with similar rules; while ability to clone plans is helpful to start with, updating formulas across multiple plans without individually modifying them would be a great feature to have
