Easy Day with Law Pay
I have had no issues since we switched from MyCase payments to LawPay. Easy to use, good, responsive customer service team.
- How can I pick just one
- For our clients, the addition of the PayLater option has been a saving grace
- For us, the customer service experience has been top-notch
I don't like that it doesn't tell me how much each client payment costs in MyCase, so I have to do more math at the end of the month

LawPay is integrated, seamless, and intuitive
LawPay took less than a day to get operational. I had a payment link, and my bank was connected fairly quickly. I now have a permanent link that I can send my clients. I strongly recommend LawPay.
- LawPay is seamlessly integrated with MyCase
- If you use MyCase practice software, you won't want to use any other payment system
- That, plus it is much easier to use than other secure PCI-compliant technology
- Great reporting functionality
- LawPay was easy to use, and very intuitive
- The only thing I wish it had was better accounting to show cash flows NET of processing fees

The service is just OKAY
the service is just ok. It is not something I would recommend
- the ability to take mobile payments and that it is
- the app only allows you take payments, not see pending or completed payments or engage in a more meaningful manner
- The app should allow the same activities as the web based page, look at transactions, cancel them, refund them etc

LawPay is the superior choice!
We initially were using the payment service offered by the Cloud-based software program we use for our law firm. However, it does not compare to LawPay in terms of fees, ease of us, and ease of reconciliation. In our view, LawPay is the superior service.
- LawPay is simple to use and offers a competitive rate
- They provide one monthly statement for fees, whereas competitors charge daily, which increases our bank costs
- It is also easy to reconcile payments through LawPay
- We understood that LawPay acquired their own legal software company in 2023
- By this time, we were already used to the current Cloud-based software that we use, and so unfortunately the software LawPay acquired does not compare to the one we currently use
- The services provided by LawPay itself though, we have no complaints about

- Very simple to use both from a customer point of view and on the backend as well
- They have a great customer support team as well who is very helpful
The reporting on the system is not the greatest and the time available to issue a refund (only 6 months) can sometimes make it difficult especially when you are utilizing a trust account with LawPay

- The program makes it easy to take payments, send bills, and make refunds if necessary
- I can't think of anything in the past 10 months that I've not liked about LawPay

Law Pay: Benefits and Drawbacks
Overall, it has been great, the customer service team is always helpful and quick, similar to their processing system which we have been very pleased with.
I appreciate that Law Pay is specifically designed for law firms, its easy to create branded payment pages and payments are done super quickly
- I wish I could search the QuickBooks back by scrolling
- As well our firm includes the attorneys name, and it happens to be common, and when searching clients with the same last name, it doesnt filter out the other clients due to the office name
- (Search Rodriguez, it shows all transactions including that name and because the firm name includes Rodriguez, it doesn't filter anything

Secure, Convenient, and Easy to Use
It is very easy to use. On the rare occasion that we have an issue, it is fairly easy to communicate with someone and get the issue resolved.
- It's secure and user friendly
- Our clients seem to like the ease of paying through a payment link rather than having to give their credit/debit card information over the phone or coming to the office in person
- I really don't have any complaints at this time
- I am not a fan of the periodic two step verification, but I understand it's necessary to maintain security

Ease of Use
I have a enjoyed using 8am LawPay. Overall, I have had a wonderful experience using the various features.
- Payment processing is easy and convenient
- I don't believe that I have ever had an easier time with review and processing of transactions with other companies
Once a transaction is processed, I find it difficult to identify the email used to send the receipt to a client

My Experience with 8am LawPay Over the Past Six Months
It has been easy to send over links for payment and it has been beneficial to the business to be able to offer the financing options.
- I am glad we are able to provide potential clients with financing options that we previously were unable to do
- We have had numerous clients be able to retain once being approved whereas they wouldn't have been able to otherwise
- I don't like that it doesn't (from what I have seen) sync over automatically into 8am MyCase
- We have had to record the payments in 8am MyCase after they've gone through 8am LawPay
