Create quality editorial designs
Great program for editorial editing, it has all the necessary tools to create books and magazines, as it is very easy to accommodate text and images with good designs, besides having the ability to customize the entire project, you can edit fonts and shapes easily.
What I like most about using this software, is to be able to use the grids and customizable guides that the program offers, which speeds up the creation of pages, in addition to having templates that you can use which are very convenient if you need inspiration to get started, I think it is a very complete software
You need to have skills and knowledge to start using it, so it can be somewhat complicated for new users, or users who are not familiar with design programs, which in addition to its cost limits its use for the general public

Essential item in any designer's toolkit
InDesign is my trusty workhorse in the design space - particularly for print design it is essential.
- Indesign is a bit of a 'jack-of-all-trades'
- You can create anything from print to digital and social
- There are so many features to use, and more are always being added
- It is an essential item in any designer's toolkit
- InDesign does require training to use - study a lot of videos online, or better yet, if you know someone who uses it, get them to give you a run-through
- Also, without the right settings for your use case, you will not produce things to the best quality for your project

You cannot upload anything
Terrible. It doesn't work. Again, no matter what file I try to upload to InDesign, it will take it.
- Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing
- I have been trying to upload a pdf book to InDesign for weeks, unsuccessfully

Physical and digital design
I have been using it for studies, personal projects and work for many years, and I believe I have not yet discovered even half of its potential.
A complete software package for designing books, magazines, flyers and digital presentations, offering many possibilities in both digital and physical formats
It does not offer many options for simple photo editing, nor does it offer many vector editing options, so for any minor touch-ups you will need to use other software

Easy styles and grids for professional printed materials.
I use Indesign daily and I think it is great for designing any print material. Using styles for text and paragraphs, means you can work fast and make edits to full documents quickly and easily. The grid layouts means you can keep everything aligned properly and keep your looking profesional.
- Easy-to-use design software for setting up booklets, 48 sheets and any other printed material
- Great for setting up grid systems, and also styles for text and paragraphs
- It works well with all the other adobe software and makes designing print easy and stress free
- Some of the design features from illustrator would be useful to be able to use in indesign
- I think the rounded corners option should be easier to access and the way it is in illustrator would make it better

Design Your Best with Indesign
Overall, Adobe Indesign is great way to design across a wide variety of media formats. Even for a quick sketch, I turn to Indesign to do the layout and print out a concept for meetings with C level execs.
- As this product has developed, you can tell the development team is listening to the average end-user
- The controls are becoming more intuitive
- This has helped me increase my productivity and complete projects in a timely manner
- The overall cost was initially (as part of CC) felt a little steep
- But once you realize you are getting live updates as the rollout and you're not having to download huge new releases, it's worth the investment

Worth the Effort to Learn How to Use
Overall, the more I learn how to use Adobe InDesign, the more helpful it becomes. You have to invest a decent amount of time in the learning process but it could not be more worth it.
- Perfect for creating original internal and external company communications, especially thought leadership articles, 1-pagers, etc
- The level of customization lends to high-quality branded items
- Images placed can lose their quality during the design process and the export process
- A lot of this can be fixed with specific export settings, however, sometimes I need to restart the program to get the images to export/appear clearly
- This could be a bug

Adobe InDesign
Overall, I'm pleased with Adobe InDesign and use it daily.
I like Adobe InDesign because it has all the features needed to create printed documents
Some of the features of InDesign are not that easy to find without formal training or looking up how to use them in a tutorial

A Great Tool for the Print Professional
Overall, I love using InDesign to create books, posters, and other print media. I do not use it for creating web pages or other formats that it can create.
- I love the ease of duplicating print layouts and expanding book layouts in intuitive ways
- The follow-up step of creating templates for future use is incredibly easy
The learning curve is a bit steep and the tool shortcuts differ from other Adobe products, which requires either customizing them to match or learning a new set of shortcuts
