Professional Looking Platform
Overall it is easy to work with Almabase. They are also open to suggestions and ideas to improve the product. They periodically check in with me to make sure I am doing well and getting out of the platform what I want. The platform looks very attractive and professional.
- Almabase is easy to use once it is set up
- The alumni directly is a useful feature
- It is easy to update the profiles
- Once the integration with Raiser's Edge is established and configured properly, it seamlessly updates data on the Raiser's Edge NXT profile
- Designing the website requires learning or having some comfort with the back-end of Wordpress, if you want a more custom appearance
- I did not find this too difficult, but I did need some assistance from the almabase engineers for some aspects

One-stop shop for our Alumni Association needs!
We really like Almabase. Working with their team is great and they are always quick to respond and help address any questions we have. As a small alumni office, having the Almabase support team helps us save time and we appreciate that they listen to our feedback.
- We like that the Almabase platform is our website, directory, events platform, fundraising platform, and email service all in the same place
- This make it very easy for us to track our alumni and their engagement
- We really appreciate that alumni can go into their user profile and update their own information
- Tracking emails and fundraising on the same platform helps as well
- I do like how they are always looking to improve their platform and take our feedback seriously
- As with any platform there are things that can be improved
- Right now you can track donations and emails receipts but it would be nice to have them eventually track who reads our posts and what pages they are interacting with
- That would be a nice feature that would allow us to fully track users
- It would also be nice if the platform supported ACH payments

Almabase has been a great fit for us
Overall, we've had a great experience with Almabase and look forward to continue growing our use of the product over time.
- What I like most about Almabase is that the platform connects well with our main CRM software, Raiser's Edge, and also provides an easy frontward-facing user experience when registering for events
- The personalized onboarding experience we had with our reps at Almabase was also immensely useful and we now have a very useful ongoing relationship with our rep who continues to be an active resource for us
- Onboarding and implementing any new software involves a learning curve and I would say there is a significant learning curve with this software
- However, the onboarding process with Almabase made learning the software much easier than it would have been without personalized assistance and we've greatly appreciated this approach at the company
- Once you learn how to fully use the software, it is an immensely helpful product to fully integrate into your operations

We needed a more modern and easy-to-use full service event software. We had previously used Blackbaud's online express for event registrations and weren't impressed by RE NXT's newer event forms. We see a better longterm fit for our organization with Almabase's event software both from an internal viewpoint and an external user experience.

Great Product for Our Needs
Overall, this has met our needs regarding alumni connection and event management. We like the responsiveness of the customer support team, and the fact that they are constantly taking our recommendations and improving the platform. It's been a great platform for our alumni.
- They offer a user-friendly interface (both externally and internally) combined with a lot of features
- They are very responsive to our recommendations for improvement and when we need support
- The platform doesn't allow for as much flexibility as we'd like regarding class years - this is an issue for attendees and alumni with multiple degrees from Southern
- And we do wish that the navigation was at the top of every single page
- They are working to find ways to improve these areas

We were actually using Blackbaud's NetCommunity, but it's so old you don't have it listed here to select. It was no longer supported and very outdated.

Incredible software, incredible support
My university is located in Texas. Almabase's trainers and support are based in India. Despite the distance, they have made us feel like one team. The step by step training (thank you, [sensitive content hidden] The support (too many to name), the overall experience has been great. We have beautiful giving pages and event registration pages that are capturing data beautifully.
We moved to Almabase on a recommendation (that their giving and event software is excellent at data capture and looks great), and while that has been true, the quality of the training and support has actually been what we love the most
- I have a small list of features I'd like to see, but honestly, even listing them would be a stretch
- For everything we couldn't get there are five features that didn't exist, we mentioned, and then the team implemented them

Blackbaud recommended Almabase over their own product (Blackbaud NetCommunity) for their user experience and data capture capabilities.

I cant complain. We have alot of big request often and Almabase does a wonderful job in giving us the tools or information we need
- How much of an open line of communication there is
- Almabase takes "criticism" extremely well
- They use it to fuel their next big changes
- Most companies would not actually take the time to research as often as Almabase does off their clients feedback
- Currently some of the giving aspects
- Specifically split gift handling which limits how much we can currently utilize Almabase as we would want

Well Targeted Alumni Product
Almabase is a well-designed product for any institution needing a solid data-driven website for their alumni base.
- Almabase is a well-targeted alumni web product for both large and smaller institutions (like us)
- I find the staff eager to offer assistance, from migration, transitioning, to how best to use the platform, to inviting their users to suggest new features and improvements regularly

Overall, my experience with Almabase has been great. The overall flexibility of this platform allows us to meet the many giving and event needs of our university.
- My favorite thing about Almabase is the support team - their willingness to help in such a quick manner is admirable
- I also enjoy the teams willingness to continually make updates to the platform
- The thing I like least about Almabase is the limitations in the design flexibility for giving and event pages
- Although there are many different options for both giving and events pages, the design is limited

Almabase Events Platform Review
Overall, we are very happy with Almabase and are finding it incredibly useful for our work. It has improved our efficiency and our alumni are overwhelmingly complimentary of the platform.
- The integration with RENXT
- This is saving us hours of manual staff time organizing and tracking event information
- It is nearly seamless
- The interface is clear and easy to use, and provides a nice amount of customization
- Almabase's customer service team is fantastic - helpful, very responsive, and open to feedback requests
- Since adopting the platform just a few months ago, we have already seen one of our main feature requests realized
- There are a few small things in the event design that are not aligned with the alumni relations work we do
- For example, See Who's Coming lists should be able to be organized by class year
- This is a major issue for our constituents
