This software is a very helpful software for my daily job. I use ANSYS structural for my FEA analysis. This software provides me a very good result with few errors.

ANSYS for analysis and simulation
For simulation and analysis this is the best CAD software one can go for. The Latest version is an add-on with more useful feature to ANYSYS spaceclaim enables the user to get the job done.
- The user can constraint the sketches with spaceclaim design options
- New block recording feature allow the user to easily edit the CAD models which are imported from other CAD platform
- Analysis is best in this software with detailed stress definition
- Simulation of operation is also done
- Use interface need to improved
- Customer support needed with more multi domain representative

- Ansys WB is quite complex tool with multiple modules
- You can make any of the engineering calculations (simulations) here
- It works with finite element method
- It has too many modules as I only know solid and fluid modules I use them on my both academical studies and design business
- It is really complex, deep as ocean
- Especially if you are working on the remote areas of engineering, it could be a night mare
- Customer support knows basics that is OK however they can not always support you on your deep and complex problems
- Also on Fluent module is not really capable for "mass transfer"

Best engineering analysis and simulation software
Overall it's great software. Once you get your hands on it, you get your problems solved in no time. I'm currently using this software for my BE project in mechanical engineering.
- I loved Meshing tool and graphics shown in modelling
- Software has different analysis options like structural,vibration,thermal,fluid analysis and many more
- I have used this software for structural and thermal analysis mainly
- Great use in Finite Element Analysis
- It saves time of experimentation
- The hard part is to learn all about this software and its features

Compared with other competitors, Ansys stands out and delivers, this 2D and 3D CAD software is reliable and demands a small amount of time to understand and manipulate with ease all its functionalities, you can create and simulate with quality assured if you input the correct parameters.
- SpaceClaim is great for CAD, tutorials within the software allow for fast training, if you have used other CAD software you will easily be able to manipulate SpaceClaim
- A great variety of functionalities and controls are available for a fast design
- A great pro is the ease of access to mechanically simulate your designs, Ansys has a more powerful simulation feature than other competitors
- Boundary conditions and forces are easy to insert

- Ansys Spaceclaim demands a considerable amount of computational processing power, check computer requirements before purchasing
- Importing geometries from other CAD software can sometimes create problems

Can be used to solve so many different types of mechanical and structural problems.
- This software has so many capabilities
- It can be used to simulate simple beam bending problems, as well as much more complex problems like bridges and cyclic loading problems
- If you get good with the command bar, you can just edit code, and read from the file to run through problems quickly
- The help menu is a life-saver
- Not everything is intuitive, and with no "undo" button, it can be frustrating
- Getting used to the commands takes a little time
- Navigating through the drop-down lists takes lots of time

I knew this software for a University course, it's amazing to perform simulations
It has allowed me to simulate and improve some designs that were assigned to me as a project in a university class. Personally I have used it but its complexity means that every time I have to study the software a bit more to use some available tool
- The realism in the simulation models of this software are incredible, since they are very close to reality
- The available controls allow to evaluate any variable and part that is desired
- It has the option of optimizing results to reach a response that improves the performance of what is being designed and tested
The complexity of the software makes the learning curve quite slow, despite the support found on the internet, some terminology must be known before using the software and it is not described very well in some cases
