Easy and seamless but for a price
I used it many years ago when I got my first clients for website/ecommerce development and me as a non-dev person (marketing) didn't have a stable partnership with a web developer so I was looking for solutions to set up ecommerce fast. Back then the starting plan was free.
I love the of set up and management on wordpress website, making it super easy to start an ecommerce
Price bumps without logic from 5 to up to 100 products, not taking in consideration small business with stores that usually range 30-50 products

Great solution for starting your first online shop if you have zero experience
Fantastic tool for beginners, it might not have many super advanced and fancy options but it is easy to use and start selling online especially when you are a beginner.
How easy it is to use and the fact that it is so user friendly that even with no experience with websites and woo-commerce you can still successfully set up a shop
Connecting to the domain that I already purchased was confusing at first but it might be due to my lack of experience but other than that it was easy to use

I use Exwid for people with zero to little experience because it is more user friendly than WooCommerce. WooCommerce can scare people away because of its complexity

- We needed a really simple webshop solution, but with Ecwid we got a pretty complex one which could do more than we needed

Five Star Great Product
Good. I would and have referred this to others. It is a decent starter platform to run your ecommerce business on.
- Very easy to use and set up
- Good value for the money
- simplifies the whole shipping and label printing process
- Alerts you when orders have been placed
- It does have a learning curve when you initially set it up it can be frustrating
- Customer support isnt awful but it could be better
- Overall Im not that disappointed

Would recommend, just not for beginners
I needed a low cost or free website for my small business that I could set up using my android. I found Ecwid and spent months setting up my website, I was a complete beginner and had to learn everything as I went. I was pleased with the search ranking my website had, which indicates that Ecwid provides good SEO results. I ended up switching to a more user friendly platform, but overall I would recommend their services.
The website is fully customizable and the limited free version is still very useful for small businesses
- It isn't beginner friendly, there's a lot of trial and error involved to figure things out
- I don't work from a desktop and Ecwid is mostly usable on mobile devices, but not very well

Simple shopping cart solution for website.
Overall experience has been very good. The Ecwid shopping cart works nicely with our website.

Good but can be too expensive
Overall, its good if you are starting an online store for the easiness but at the end it can get too expensive.

Everything is MANUAL INPUT, they don't have basics

- Support is the only positive thing, they write the code you need for you
- But it's unfortunate that simple things need code to begin with
- I'm still not understanding why images are not responsive, can't choose different images for Desktop vs Mobile, Can't change the appearance of Size Buttons etc, Can't choose to show featured items as a Carousel only grid or full image
- You have to CODE all of these simple things
- The things I ask about are things that Shopify already has on their CHEAPEST subscription
- I wanted to use Ecwid because it's cheaper, but really it's not
- To match the cheapest Shopify I have to take Ecwid's most Expensive plan - and still it doesn't come near what Basic Shopify offers
- I tried using Ecwid in 2021 and everything was manual - it's THREE YEARS later and nothing has changed everything is still MANUAL

I'm going back! I thought Ecwid was more cost effective, but it's just inconvenient - nothing more.

Great Product for Our Needs with Some Room for Improvement
Ecwid has been very easy to use and their customer service is great. While there are still a couple things we would like to see, overall we are very happy with the available features they offer.
- Ecwid was very easy to setup and work with
- Their "New Gen" site editor gave us improved tools and design features to work with that really helped our site's aesthetics and include more information as well
- I would have liked to have more detail and control over site and sales analytics
- They recently improved on this, but there are still a few options missing that would be helpful to our business

Nice platform that´s been evolving their offer
Although at first the platform seemed, for some needs, limited, overtime I saw Ecwid evolve offering new options and features that could make websites even better! I also liked the customer service which you could reach out via email and their agents were available 24/7, explanations were on top, like when I had doubts to implement a code on html or else.
- I used Ecwid for a whole year
- I liked the fact that the plans to choose from were financially accessible
- On the other hand the platform was very intuitive to build your website through templates
- At first it was difficult or limited with specific options to build your site, for instance, the navigation menu / bar wasn't as customizable as I needed
- Basically you had to stick pretty much to what the platform offered with little freedom
