Great, but not quite Perfect
It's been a great product; easy to implement and get my users on board using it. I still need to get everyone to link their emails, but baby steps.
It's easy to use, great for tracking project status, and it's nice to be able to link emails to specific projects for collaboration
I wish they would focus on making the project management portion perfect before adding new features like invoicing and proposals

It was a desktop application and was difficult to set up. Setting up any new templates took a long time, so it was impractical.
Why they chose it
"It seemed easier to use, the reviews were great, and it was specifically for tax and accounting firms."

User friendly system, forward-thinking
I am still a new user and we have not fully implemented for our whole team yet, but I see how much this system will change the game for us in terms of productivity and effective communication.
- Very user friendly platform, client import is seamless, and appreciate the options for automations on the project templates, and access to other users templates to get ideas
- Our rep has also been very helpful so far
- It would be better if there was an app or better way to receive and make updates via phone instead of just on the internet browser
- I also would like a file system that allowed viewing of files outside of just PDFs within the system without having to download

Asana was too flexible and tasks were getting lost in subtask upon subtask.
Why they chose it
"Have used tax dome in the past but felt Financial Cents better fit our needs and was more flexible with better features and price."

Financial Cents for a WIN!!
We use Financial Cents extensively in my CPA firm...every bookkeeper and tax preparer (we have 11 total) uses it to track time spent on each client/project and this uploads to QBO and is automatically billed to my clients each month. We use it to track progress in our projects and when one monthly bookkeeping project closes, another opens to do the next month. We can audit our contractors' time and make sure they're billing their time properly so we can pay them appropriately at month end. And we can input budgets for each project and monitor budget vs actual time spent on each detailed line of every project to see where we're taking too long or how profitable we'll be at any point, or know to notify a client if we need to go over budget for some reason, so there are no surprisingly large bills. This minimizes write-offs and disgruntled clients. I LOVE financial cents...saved my sanity so many times!
Ability to track time for each client/project and set time budgets so that we can know to notify clients if their bill will be higher and there are no surprisingly high bills
- The requirement to pay up front for 11 team members for a whole year
- that's a large chunk of change

Why Financial Cents Works Well For Me
Overall I like Financial Cents very much and am very happy plus love the idea that I can grow with this app.
- It's the best practice management app for my needs since it focuses on workflows and is flexible and easy to use to stay on track and on top of deadlines
- It helps me get the needed info from my clients as well in a way that is convenient for everyone
- Customer support is very good too and they are always working on improving the app
- My only concern is that it has now become a very robust application and with all the bells and whistles that also makes it more complicated
- I do not use all the features, but that said, the help files are good so I can usually find what I need on my own if I am expanding to use a new feature that I'm unfamiliar with

Improved workflow and template setup was better for my purposes.
Why they chose it
"Better fit for my needs and the price point and way that it worked was what I was looking for; works well for small firms."

Great value for reliable workflow tool - closest there is to a all-in-one tool currently
Verified reviewer
- Financial Cents gives us peace of mind with strong security for sharing and requesting documents from clients, while offering great value for money
- Their customer support is responsive and helpful, and the platform makes project collaboration super easy being possible to easily assign task and projects and automate certain steps on the workflow
- Document management and payment processing are easy to handle, the possibility of sending proposals and engagelment letters with great flexibility made us cancel our ignition subscription which was no longer needed
- The templates took us a while to set up but now they save us a lot of time
- Data import and custom forms also work but could be improved
The transition from Trello boards and spreadsheet to FC had to be made manually and that was a cosiderable investment of time in setting everything up, once done it was worth it though
Switched From
Overgrown trello, it became a madness to manage so many boards, FC made it a breeze
Why they chose it
"Best cost/benefit overall, more integrated with solutuions i needed"

A great tool but just wasn’t right for us
Overall, I think Financial Cents is a great piece of software to help small businesses manage clients, workflow, team work and gave clarity over where work was up to.
- Loved the inbox feature, I think this would have helped with productivity
- I loved how the clients were set up and connected and how the jobs against clients gave clarity over the workflow
- Cost
- It was just too expensive for a small practice
- There really wasn’t anything else I didn’t like
Switched From
ClickUp just didn’t have the extra functionality that I needed for managing my practice
Why they chose it
"In the end I didn’t. I ended up going with Karbon"

Great for small CPA firms with limited resource to start up a capable CRM.
Easy to navigate and learn, a lot of potential with workflows that I'll tap into more and more as I use it.
I like the simplicity of getting started with it combined with having the core features all firms need in a CRM/Practice management (billing, proposals, client information, and projects)
- Some key features are little lack luster
- I
- e
- billing options when creating proposals are limited
- The most notable one missing for the proposals is to auto-bill on project(s) completion
- The integration with adobe sign doesn't allow clients to download a copy of what they signed
Why they chose it
"Ability to do 3 tier proposals in my practice mgt/crm."

A Must-Have for Small Accounting Teams – Wish We Switched Sooner!
Now, every team member can see their tasks, track progress, and manage client work efficiently. Everything—emails, notes, files—is centralized under each client, which saves us a ton of time and back-and-forth. I especially appreciate the visibility into our month-end close process and review statuses. As the firm owner, I no longer feel like I have to juggle everything—my team can collaborate, leave notes, and request help in real time. The customer service and training are great, too! Overall, Financial Cents has streamlined our operations and improved team accountability. My only regret is not making the switch sooner.
- We’re a small accounting firm of five, and after trying several project management tools, we found Financial Cents to be a game-changer
- Unlike generic platforms, it’s clearly designed with accountants in mind
- The way projects are structured mirrors our actual workflow, which made onboarding fast and intuitive
- The system isn’t the cheapest option out there, but the value it delivers is absolutely worth the cost
- For the time and headaches it saves us, it more than pays for itself
Switched From
We made the switch because our team members struggled to use the old system.

After years of looking for the perfect solution to my organization needs I have found a home!
I love Financial Cents and I use it every day. The features of FC have checked almost all of the boxes that I need to run my business, and with the ability to integrate the platform with Zappier, I think I can check the rest of the boxes!
- QBO integration and client tasks reminders are a game changer
- I love the dashboard and the email and calendar integration is a huge help
- I have Financial Cents as the home page on my Google Workspace account so I know exactly where to start my day
- I wish that Financial Cents had more marketing and client relationship management capabilities
- I have come to depend on it so much that I don't want to have to add another platform to my tech stack for CRM

efficient and user-friendly
helps solve the problem of disorganized workflows and missed deadlines by centralizing all client tasks, communications, and timelines in one place
its simplicity and organization - it makes tracking client work, deadlines, and team progress effortless, all in one clear and easy-to-navigate platform
What I dislike about Financial Cents is that some features, like reporting and customization options, can feel limited compared to larger practice management tools, and occasional syncing delays can slow down workflow updates
