Great for asynchronous classes
I really like classes through google class room. Its organised and easy. Everything can be collaborative and clear.
- I like how organised everything is
- For group work, or classes that you can do at your own pace
- For fast meetings zoom might be a little simpler
Switched From
The teacher needed a platform that could organise classes for the long term including assignments and others.

Google Classroom is a Helpful Online Tool for Classroom
Overall, Google Classroom is a great online tool to organize and release information. It is helpful for all the students to have an online copy, and keep track of what we did in class each day if they were absent.
- The announcement tab is very streamline and is where my students get most of their information
- The classwork tab is helpful to organize topics and units
- I don't like how hard it is to input marks for each student
- I wish there was also a way to organize the people into groups as well for a group assignment online
- (like the Canvas feature)
Why they chose it
"Google classroom is more streamlined compared to Canvas, as more schoolboards use it as well."

used for a course
i have only been using google classroom weekly for a course. It was a little tough to learn the layout and where to go for different tasks, like sharing, submitting assignments etc. But once became familiar, it seems pretty straight forward. Overall good platform for courses.
- It is easy to share content and work on group projects in a virtual setting
- Also easy to add content, images, other documents that can also be shared by many in the same file
- it can only be used online, therefore cant work on a project of line with option to connect and share
- However content can be uploaded from another document

Great in theory, awful for actual classroom use.
Awful. Parents can't see grades. Students get confused about where to find content. It doesn't automatically make a copy of docs for students.
I love how easily I can link it to Google Docs and how I can store feedback comments
- The ways in which to organize content is greatly lacking
- The gradebook glitches and there are minimal ways to grade/label content that has been submitted

Google Classroom: a smart classroom companion.
My overall experience with Google classroom has been great. I have been using it since my lower grades. Specially, it was really helpful during the pandemic times. It provides easy and simple accessibility, making it simple for anybody to understand. Also, our progress and assignments can be tracked.
- Google Classroom is an excellent, free platform for managing online classes and assignments
- Its core features are free and integrated with Google workspace tools like Docs, Drive and Meet
- The ease of use is impressive as teachers and students can easily share notes, upload assignments and communicate in real time
- The user interface is clean, convenient and easy to navigate
- It is very easy and simple to upload materials and track progress
- Customer support is mostly handled through forums, which can be slow to resolve issues
- There are occasional bugs, such as delays in loading or syncing assignments
- It provides limited customization for students as well as teachers
- Occasional technical glitches can be faced by users
- Slow customer support response

Google Classroom Archive Downsides
It's seamless for when you use it, but I feel like it adds extra clutter to my workspace in the long run. I don't need things from 5 years ago in an archive. If I do go in to a class from years past, it just seems a big jumble of old classes. I wish I could nest them or something (similar to email folders). Maybe you can, but it doesn't seem intuitive.
- I really like the ability to add kids to a class and send out one link and have everything covered
- It cuts way down on communication with kids and parents
- Most times I don't even send anything out; they know the classroom after they enter the verification code, and they can go to the page on their own to see what it is that I have added
- I don't like how it never deleted your old classes but instead archives them forever
- You can hide them, but I'd like the ability to just delete them
Switched From
Easier to figure out the interface and kids were already familiar wit it from other schools.

Good app could be better
Good but sometimes difficult. The updates to the app have made them worse. Sometimes the app is a pain to use and more frustrating than anything else.
- Love good classroom
- Great for uploading and reviewing homework and updating students on events
- Love the app
- Video uploads are terrible
- After an update it has made sharing and viewing video uploads impossible
Switched From
Cost of google classroom is much cheaper.

Google class of 2022
I got the certificate I was needing. So I Went back and got two more. Now because of Google Classroom, im leading my own team at work.
- The time that is spent giving thorough lessons
- Its actually quite pleasing to know i have someone willing to give me firsthand help, to make sure I have acquired the knowledge, necessary to gain my desired certificate
- Some things taught are a very lengthy process
- If you already have the knowledge being taught then you shouldnt have to sit through it
- Unfortunately, if you want the certificate
- You have to do each lesson
- It doesnt allow you to skip through or past, what you already know, Although its understandable

My Goggle Classroom
The user interface is friendly and easy to navigate. Google classroom has been really helpful in my education.
- It made student and teacher interactions much more easier with little to no cost
- Very easy to use and navigate
- Good access to customer support
- I have noticed on rare occasions that google classroom lags probably because of bugs
- I always look forward for more exciting features like educational games

Good for the money
Verified reviewer
- Great for the money
- Had all the features we needed and easy to use once you get used to the interface
- Not hard to learn
- The quiz is good but any little capital change in an answer the system says it is wrong
- Somewhat easy fix, just annoying
