Great Tool For Concealing Your Real Number But Still Allowing You To Get Calls and Texts To Your Real Phone
I really enjoy Google Voice. It values privacy and doesn't require you to share your real phone number with someone you want to set boundaries with or if there is a power imbalance.
- It allows you to create a second phone number and tie it to your personal cell phone so that you can avoid giving your real phone number out when you only need to communicate with someone briefly
- Additionally, it is very easy to delete and unlink the number to your phone when you no longer need it
- Sometimes, the area code of your number isn't the same area code you are residing in
- This makes it harder for people to believe that is your real number
- Additionally, it isn't always clear how you are charged for using your Google Voice number

My Go to is Google voice.
Overall experience with Google voice has been amazing, I've had the same phone number through them for a few years now and it's helped me be able to manage everything even when I didn't have a regular cell phone number.
What I like most about Google voice is that you get all the features of a regular phone number for free with Google voice's virtual phone number, mostly the ability to receive verification codes
What I like least about Google voice isn't necessarily directed at Google voice but at other websites or programs that won't accept the Google voice phone number because it is VoIP
Switched From
Because I needed assistance with accessing my verification codes and text now charged 99 cents each time I would need to receive a verification code which was adding up to a lot of money. Google voice provides me that feature for free.

A second phone number on your device.
I started using google voice as a second phone number on my device, but little by little it has taken over.
- You can manage your phone and have a second phone number on your device
- So far, it's been great, so nothing I don't like about it

Overall I had a good experience with Google Voice. It is important to know the fine print, especially understanding the inactive time. However, being able to pick my own number was great and using the different features made communicating with my clients very easy!
- I appreciated the ease and versatility of Google Voice
- It was super easy to begin the process, especially since I already have a Google email address
- Picking different plans was also great because you can choose based on your budget and desired functions
- I was least fond of the period when the number was cut off due to inactivity
- I wished the period was longer since I was fresh in my business

Amazing product
I loved it. I think it’s been the best option for work calls, texts, etc on the market.
- Google voice was simple to use
- It’s interface is very user friendly and had a great reload speed
- The text feature was phenomenal and made our job a lot easier
- We send automated messages to our customers
- We got flagged for it and we’re unable to continue messaging them
- Very disappointing
- There was no way to confirm that we weren’t spamming random people

- This protects my personal phone number from scams and cold calls by screening the calls first before answering them
- It is also great to receive text messages from sms marketing

Good option for free phone line service
My overal experience with google voice is a good one. I don't have any major complaints. It's on par with other free phone line services
- This is a good app for no cost and it works for my needs
- It's pretty easy to set uo and has a simple interface
- The calls are not always the best quality
- Sometimes the connection is not the best and calls hang up
