Used it three times so far
Very positive, this is the third time I used it. One time for a company sale and two times for investor management.
I really like the ease of use of managing the documents in the VDR, equally easy is the setting up roles and responsibilities, managing the different parties
I am not happy about securing Excel Sheets, I had to convert to PDF but then you loose functionality

Great user experice, no issues
I never had issues with iDeals, no investor complained I was using iDeals vs another vendor (it is always a risk if you take a less known name) Great user interface, easy to upload files, modify, control what you share
Ergonomy and user experience is great i've been using iDeals for years now, with different companies
I it stil la pricey solution especially if you need to run a project on a longer period (eg fundraising)
Switched From
Firmex was very expensive at that time. otherwise I found about the same service

It was good while it lasted
We were pleased with the platform until they did an "upgrade" which subsequently increased the price. The items they included in the upgrade were not items we would be utilizing but would have to ultimately pay for.
- The organization of documents, rooms and permissions for due diligence processes made it easy for even those who aren't quite tech savvy
- Our contact was helpful when/if we reached out
- When downloading files the downloaded file included the location number in the beginning of the document title, this was burdensome when needing to duplicate a room
- I would have to download the entire room, rename each document and then go through the process of creating a whole new data room
- It would have been much easier to be able to simply copy a data room as it was set
- Some of the documents had too long file paths when downloading which would create 0MB files, not helpful

"We actually moved away from iDeals to use FirmEx in June 2025. We had iDeals since around 2020 until the "upgrade" and price increase occurred."

Good image for client's uploading process, ease of controlling potential buyers' access, branding options allow use of client photos used in CIM and other data.
Control of Documents, Participant access, customization features, cloud availability, customers' ease of use starting up and maintaining data
- It's hard to find the toggles for participants notification settings if you don't remember where the option exists (one place) and what it looks like (it says something different
- Also, invitations are sent to recipients junk mail way too often

- The UX is very straight forward - even a toddler could start using it
- The basic package we use is also a good value for money
- Once you reach a certain data volume it can get pretty pricey fast
- Maybe a more staggered approach would be better

Very intuitive and easy to use platform, with a clear progress between two diffferent periods of use
There are no technical cons as i was sincerely impressed by the platform; ideally this would come at a more affordable price but every good product needs to be paid for
