About InTime

InTime is a cloud-based scheduling and workforce management software designed specifically for public safety professionals. It is suitable for police, fire and sheriff departments as well as corrections agencies, 911 dispatchers, and private or corporate security companies. The software provides features for automated scheduling, leave management, overtime management, reporting, and more. With desktop and web solutions, InTime can be used by in-office teams as well as field staff. InTime offers mobile apps for iOS and Android devices. Additional modules are available as needed, such as shift bidding, training management, wellness, plus others.

InTime Solutions

As I said previously, this software does so much more than we were looking for that each feature was like a bonus to us. We can keep track of sick time and identify sick time abuse or patterns more easily. It allows us to track how many overtime hours have been dedicated to a particular case. The software also has some features that we would hope to be able to use in the future, where officers can bid on a specific job posting.

What they liked
  • When we purchased this software it was intended to be used for the fair distribution of overtime
  • What we found out, was it did so much more
  • It is the only software we need to keep track of all schedules, leave requests, overtime, time banks, and even certifications
  • The software is very adaptable
Room for improvement
  • Originally it did not have all the unique features that we needed for our overtime distribution agreement with the unions
  • InTime was able to work with us over time and incorporated these features into the program

Exceptional customer service

Overall, it is great to have a professional schedule platform. Intime has been a great move for our department.

What they liked
  • Our agency was looking for something to take us out of the Stone Age
  • We were on excel sheets for scheduling, then another company (briefly, as they didn’t meet the demands of 24/7 scheduling) and then we found Intime
  • Customer support and education to get started with the program was exceptional and very patient
  • It was a fairly smooth process to transition into Intime
  • The ability to track everything within the schedule (hours worked, OT, training, etc) is terrific to help explain the needs of the department to outside partners
Room for improvement

We are still working out the kinks of completing the scheduled month, closing the schedule with the gap time logged seemlessly without the need for first line supervisors to make adjustments, but we are hopeful to get this resolved

Switched From

The other company was not able to fulfill the numerous shift options we off our people, and make appropriate patterns for a busy 24/7 operation.

  • I can't edit the request time
  • I input inform and go back to update fields on the request format but have to remove the form and then create another new request
  • I would like to edit the field and update so I am only changing a couple of fields instead of sharing with other users

Improve your day to day with Intime

We had an amazing implementation consultant. We had so many questions and concerns but [sensitive content hidden] was able to come up with solutions.

What they liked

Of all of the third party applications i have helped implement, this is the most smooth and least troublesome

Room for improvement
  • The integration with our tyler munis erp system was a dissatisfaction
  • To not be able to integrate with our payroll system created difficulty

You Should Work on Being InTime

Our department has been using InTime Scheduling for over 15 years, and it’s been a consistently reliable and effective tool. It makes scheduling, overtime management, and shift adjustments straightforward and efficient. The platform has continued to improve over time, and the support team is always responsive and helpful. Overall, InTime has been a great fit for our department’s needs

  • Having the ability to go paperless in regards to Overtime
  • Also the ability for everyone to sign up for overtime through their phones
Room for improvement
  • Shift bidding is not seniority based
  • I hear there’s a fix coming, so hoping it comes soon
  • Looking forward to the change

It has been a learning curve but now I have nothing negative to say about the program. It is a great program.

  • Overtime/shift posting was made so much easier with InTime
  • It has given us the ability to manage our geographical hurdles with ease
  • Our dept is spread over a large area
  • Now everything can be done in one program

  • Wish it had a better asset management component
  • Our dept would love to have the ability to track sept assets
  • Ie vehicles and assign to members etc

Great system!

Intime has been an amazing resource. They’ll connect you with the right person to troubleshoot any issues and they really listen to what their customers want

It would be nice if admin could create and/or customize reports or how certain things (like timesheets) look for end-users

Intime U 25 Review

My overall experience has been great. Intime has been easy to adapt to our needs and adapt to our payroll system for semi-automations.

What they liked
  • The ease of use while being complex enough to tackle unique scheduling circumstances
  • Being able to set templates and preload significantly decrease scheduling time required
Room for improvement
  • The initial learning curve can be steep
  • Understanding how all the tools work together slow the initial implement and adaptation
