About Kangaroo

Kangaroo is a cloud-based loyalty and marketing management platform designed for retail businesses of all sizes that offers membership management, corporate memberships, gift cards, loyalty management, and analytics within a suite. Kangaroo loyalty program management program, allows users to reward customers based on their visits or spending. Customers can earn and redeem reward points by scanning a QR code from the Kangaroo app. Users can also award points to customers who purchase specific items. Kangaroo's loyalty marketing program empowers users to design targeted campaigns based on customer tags such as location and monthly spending. The solution also allows users to send messages to customers nearby the shops based on their geographical location. With the help of an analytical dashboard to track key customer metrics, users gain an understanding of customers' shopping behavior and are better equipped in making decisions regarding customer handling practices.

Great Product and People

I really enjoy working with our account rep, [sensitive content hidden] she is so helpful and makes working with Kangaroo very easy. There's also a lot of great options for cool reward programs for our customers!

  • It's very user friendly, its modern and easy to use
  • I like the AI features that help you make your emails and subject lines better
  • I really like our account manager because she is so helpful and I feel like always has our back and our best interest in mind for our business and overall success
Room for improvement

There are some integrations that don't completely connect with our point of sale system but hopefully more features will become more seamless soon

So far so good, excited to use it more

We are new to the system, but so far I am happy with it. I'm looking forward to using more of the features to see what drives sales best for us.

  • We just started using Kangaroo and I love that it automatically applies points to customers accounts and does not rely on our sales people to manually enter them
  • This eliminates a lot of user error on our end
  • The ability to target customers via text also seems very comprehensive and I'm looking forward to exploring that
  • The set up has been very easy and our rep [sensitive content hidden] has been extremely knowledgeable and helpful
Room for improvement

I do think the cost to send texts is high, it really adds up if you have a large customer database, and it has the potential to get out of hand when you set up automated text campaigns

Overall the experience has been great. It does 99% of the things we wanted it to do, and the other 1% is just quality of life things. Alex M. has been very helpful in fixing what few issues we've had!

  • The software is easy to understand and use
  • It integrates with our system easily and the process is intuitive through our POS
Room for improvement
  • Overall it works pretty well for what we need, but we do wish the Basic Plan came with a few more features
  • Additionally, sometimes, when logging into our account through Kangaroo, we have to wait for a second, reload the site, and log in again for it to pull up
  • This is just a small inconvenience though

  • If you don't have a reward program as part of your marketing and retention strategy, then you will lose them to the competitor that does offer it

  • As of now, there is no option in two-way communication
  • You can send messages, but can't receive any
  • Other than that, I have no complaints

It would be great if the customer registration page included both email and phone number fields by default, so businesses could more easily identify and manage clients across platforms
