Using Knowa for workplace pension scheme management
The Knowa support team -[sensitive content hidden] - is excellent. Questions are answered quickly and the team is always willing - almost in a pushy way! - to help. The free document transition service from other platforms is really helpful.
- Knowa is an intuitive platform
- Things are largely where you would expect them to be, and you only need basic IT knowledge to navigate the system
- Documents and correspondence are stored securely, so you don't need to worry about people having trouble opening encrypted e-mails and their attachments
- Allowing access to certain people to certain areas allows various scheme advisers, as well as the scheme sponsor, to have access to selected documents and meetings
- I like the way documents can be simply re-named
- I also like the way Knowa is alive to fixing glitches and improving the system
- I think the structure of the document storage area could be more conventional, like a normal directory of folders in a "library" area
- I just don't like the feel of the "Groups" system as a documents library, and its rather slow to open folders and documents
- Better to have a familiar File Explorer-type layout
- I don't like the way the system send you back to the top pf an agenda when you have amended a sub-item and simply want to go back to where you were at the previous step

BoardPacks has a number of shortcomings, glitches and "banana skins", which the Company was not willing to fix. It is also rather expensive.

The best tool I have used for trustees
really stable, its great for communication between the trustees via chat. meetings are easily arranged and the agenda and timings can be dynamically modified if things change.
- the centralised system is a one point for all things I need as a trustee
can be difficult to navigate all of the areas needed, especially with add on elements for risk register etc

Review of governance platform on Knowa
I find Knowa very helpful and use the system daily but it does appears difficult to engage all our Trustees.
- It's easy to locate files on document storage
- The meeting management facility is excellent
- The team at Knowa are extremely helpful, friendly and are always striving to make improvements
- The Risk Register facility is user friendly and helpful as the Trustee and advisers are able to access
- I like the ability to ask other group members to either vote or read a post
- I like the collaboration area but it does appear to be difficult to encourage our advisers to respond to this thread
- The reason why they prefer to respond via email is that they are unable to keep an audit trail at their end
- It would be helpful if documents within each of the categories could be added so the last document is automatically shown at the top of the list
- It would be helpful if once documents are added to the storage area, there is a facility to rename the file
- At the moment, I am altering the title (making it slightly shorter and trying to cover full details of document ie add a date and removing any reference number from an adviser) in Solvay's storage area before moving to Knowa

BAC had been bought by Hymans and were no longer able to provide this service.We were encouraged by Zephyrus/Solvay/ndapt to use this system as the other four Solvay pension schemes were using this system and a number of ndapts' clients were too.

Excellent I cannot fault them. The support is excellent.
- Ease of use, support from the Knowa team and the ability to add new features and develop easily
- It is also helping with succession planning being able to store and develop report
- None that I can think of and would highly recommend it
- The Trustee Board members are also delighted with it

Knowa Scheme & Board Management Review
I've found the experience easy, helpful and productive. The procurement process wasn't overly protracted and there was a great pragmatic approach to getting things up and running. When there are issues I've found the response time short and issues do get resolved. Customer service is clearly highly valued by the Knowa team and in a busy role like mine that's important.
- Because it's so easy to use it really saves me valuable time
- The functionality in meeting management is also helpful
- I don't use all of the functions however, what do use I like very much
- Perhaps the only issue for me has been in the appearance of Excel in View mode and the need to convert to PDF format which doesn't always work well

Excellent document repository and meeting management software
Quite honestly, I think Knowa is exactly what the pensions industry needs - good value, easy / intuitive to use with great support and strong forward-looking development
- Easy and intuitive to use with flexible storage design options and an ability to add many users within the Package
- Great bolt-on modules available too along with an AI function and strong search capability
Not really a dislike but the left-hand bar could perhaps be clearer when one has multiple clients

Essential, Easy-to-Use, and Excellent Support!
I've been using Knowa daily, and it has truly transformed the way I manage the pension schemes I look after. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, efficient, and reliable, making complex tasks so much easier to handle. The organization and collaboration tools are second to none, allowing me to stay on top of everything with ease. Knowa has become an essential part of my workflow, and I genuinely can’t imagine managing pensions without it. Highly recommend!
- What I liked most about Knowa is its intuitive interface and how it streamlines managing my portfolio of pension schemes

- However, with the support team's help and the available training material, I soon got the hang of it, and everything became straightforward after that

Knowa Review
I am a relatively new Knowa user, but have found it to be very easy to use. I suspect that there are features that I am not yet using, but will do so in time.
- The online access to our trustee meeting packs and minutes
- I can access them at anytime from any location, which provides great flexibility
- Sometimes the downloading is a bit clunky
