Want a product that tracks and produces the kind of reports you need? Try SK
Again, it's the support that makes this software hum for me. I am pretty good using it but occasionally still need a little help and you guys are always available, helpful and patient.
- I especially like the support - everyone is knowledgeable and patient
- The software is very good as well, and it's now in the cloud for "on the move" access
- Least
- I'm thinking
- I can't really think of what I don't like - wait I know
- You have upgrades often and I don't have admin access to my own computer so I always have to ask my Tech guy to come to my desk, log in and accept the update

Good overall. This is perfect if you need customization
I have appreciated having and using it. My coworkers have struggled to keep things straight because of it's complexity.
- I really like its customizations
- It feels endless (it isn't)
- Almost all the fields and can renamed and/or repurposed from their default
- It is very comprehensive
- It feels antiquated and can be really complex and challenging to use or at least get used to
- This is kinda what you expect when trying to use it with all it's customization
Why they chose it
"We needed the customization offered by SK. There are a lot of other features that are much nicer with these competitors."

Great Customer Service!
Great for creating photo directories on our own. Also a good reporting tool
- Easy to use, comprehensive, adaptable, etc
- Cost to upgrade and use newer features
- we are a small church by current membership but when we started it was large and we have a large database of records
- hence costs to upgrade

Church - nonprofit software, inexpensive, fully comprehensive and EXCELLENT customer service!
I am very pleased with the functionality within Servant Keeper. I must state again, that I have never had better customer service. Not only was the CSR knowledgeable on every question I asked, and may I add, I had very random questions, but all were completely answered, and just ... WOW!!! How nice to deal with a company that appreciates your business even if we are small fries.
- The price is very affordable
- The features are much more user-friendly, and vast, compared to the limitations of Realm
- The customer service is top-notch
- I never received this from Realm
- The cloud version SK8 seems to have slow connection issues but it could be from my MAC setup
- We also have a Windows PC with no issues running multiple screens simultaneously in SK8
Switched From
I changed jobs and thank goodness I did. Realm was a deal-breaker.

We have used Servant Keeper for almost 20 years. Great product!

- We have used SK for our church contributions for over 18 years
- There is really nothing that I dislike about SK
- there are a lot of features that we do not use, but everything we use, we like

Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church-Nashville Experience
Due to the unfortunate experiences with Servant Keeper, I have led my organization to switch immediately.
- I did not like anything about Servant Keeper
- It was not appealing to the eye
- The customer service and ease of use was absolutely the worst I have ever experienced
Switched From
I am not sure why they switched as I was not employed with Fifteenth at the time of the switch.

I was the database admin the We had constant issues with the ck system.
- Very easy to use and easy to train volunteers and members
- Check in was not wireless and was bulky having computers at each station
Switched From
Mainly because their ck in system was way ahead
Why they chose it

Okay overall but outdated and difficult to use - too expensive for a smaller church
When our church first got SK, we were coming from inconsistent and insecure data storage methods that had been used for many years. SK was a nice change, as it was our first introduction to church management software. We have greatly utilized its integration with Mailchimp and Vanco and have built processes for ourselves to meet our needs these last few years. However, as our church is striving to grow and change, we are looking for a replacement for our Servant Keeper software. Its reporting features are clunky and not as customizable as we'd like, especially the graph reporting. The interface is overwhelming and unattractive and has a big learning curve, so many members of our staff have not been able to use it or learn it efficiently. The mobile apps are nice, but with the limits of the reporting, Greet and Attend is basically useless to us - the quick counts do not accurately chart in the reports and there is no way to fix this. The Mobile Ministry app crashes often. The fact that this software is downloaded and not web-based makes it inaccessible in many ways. There is no way for volunteers or members to utilize it either, which is something important to us. The final straw for us was the price - a $550 initial setup fee, $59.99 a month for the lowest plan (increased without warning from $49.99), plus an additional $200 a year to have access to support that is often unhelpful is too much for our smaller church.
integration with Vanco and Mailchimp have been helpful, existing report templates are pretty comprehensive, customizable fields on individual and family profiles, groups keeper is a pretty good way of grouping people together based on a wide variety of criteria, being accessible offline is convenient, there are a ton of features on every module and several ways to do the same things
report customization is clunky and limiting, mobile apps are buggy and not super helpful, the learning curve is big and the interface is not super intuitive or user-friendly, the number of fields that are not utilized is overwhelming and distracting, exporting to CSV does not work very well and often creates more work, the software being downloaded is limiting in its accessibility for multiple users, the price is constantly increasing without more features being added, data entry systems are simultaneously very limiting and also very vague which easily leads to inconsistency and clerical errors, support is not super helpful and there isn't a ton of online information to help with basic questions, overall the system is outdated and clunky and not ideal for churches with the intention of growth
Switched From
FileMaker was not intended to be a church management software and did not have any of the security or functionality we were looking for when our new pastor started at our church.

The perfect database for the church of the '90s
Having used Servant Keeper for 2 years, it did exactly what I needed it to do, but never without some challenges that had to be overcome. Servant Keeper's look and features really feel designed for an older church but a church with a younger staff and demographic would probably find itself better suited with another option.
- It is a straightforward database system
- Running reports is easy
- Overall, Servant Keeper provides a nice sampling of features for church management
- Is not Mac friendly
- If you use a Mac you can find ways to make it work but you will have consistent headaches in doing so
- Limited features compared to its main competitors
- Looks and feels like it was developed in the '90s and has never really embraced modern technology
- The sign-in system is difficult to set-up and maintain and, once again, greets people with a dated look that doesn't appeal to today's families
- Customer support is prompt but rarely provides necessary solutions to the issues
Why they chose it
"Ultimately, it was a team decision and one that I did not agree with for our organizational needs."
