About SimplyBook.me

SimplyBook.me is an appointment scheduling solution for smaller service-based businesses as well as enterprises with many locations. SMBs get a beautiful customizable booking website, or teams can insert a booking widget to the website. The system offers a full range of different booking website templates that administrators can choose from and then operators can personalize each one so that it fits the brand colors as well as add images of the logo, service providers and company locations. What differentiates SimplyBook.me from other booking systems is that it is based on custom features. So, administrators can pick the custom features to include in the booking system and then pay accordingly. Custom features allow operators to accept payments, enable Intake forms, offer Instagram bookings, sell gift cards, offer loyalty points, implement waiting lists and more. The clients will receive booking reminders sent either by email or SMS. With the system, users can connect with Facebook, Instagram or Google and thereby add a 'book now' button, allowing clients to book an appointment from selected channels. Book me now

I got used to it. Initially we had lot of trouble mainly due to number of fields required. It should allow to work offline also.

What they liked
  • Organize bookings and allow client to book on their own
  • Dashboard and calendar views are great
  • Cost is reasonable
Room for improvement
  • Loses data for integration with other CRM tools
  • Number of required fields can be optimized
  • Don’t ask same question again
  • Users should not have to type their name and such twice

Great options to start with

Great system to start especially when you’re a small business with not too many requirements. Doesn’t the job well And integrates with google calendar.

What they liked
  • SimplyBook is simple and I think that’s what I like the most about it
  • It has all you need when you are a small business or just starting booking
  • It’s free and it integrates easily (simple link works perfectly fine)
  • A lot of customisation options, maybe even too many (as I designer its advantage for me but for some without basic knowledge about images sizes and colours it might be too much)
Room for improvement
  • Some paid functions are quite expensive compared to other systems I tried
  • Also if you’re an average small business owner and have no clue about customisation, the amount of options might be too much

Price and cost of running it. Also I wanted something simple as I am still not sure what are my scheduling requirements so I still need to test some systems.

Ok for services I guess

The customer service is prompt and with small things, very helpful. I just spent over an hour to explain the above issue - not a user problem, but features not working. For the price I expect a smooth operation (setting everything up is very time consuming with many steps and cross referencing.. I trialled acuity, offering tree, momence, all in the same price ball park) so it is frustrating to run into those issues and then be told to send it to the developers as feedback. Duh, if they actually would have tried out the advertised features like a studio owner would use them, it would be obvious.

What they liked
  • Great features (to have a functional booking system, forget the 'standard' plan, you will need the 'pro' one for sure) overall, great customer service
  • I like the idea of the scheduling app for providers as well as clients
Room for improvement
  • The provider app doesn't have enough functionality to really be useful (this seems to be an issue with all booking systems
  • ) The main disappointment: The features don't work together, even if following the slightly convoluted instructions of roundabout ways from customer service
  • 2 way sync is pointless - if you're like me and that feature was a main driver to sign up, don't
  • Bookings for group sessions synced to the calendar create an 'external event' and therefore block further bookings for that time block
  • The system doesn't recognise it's own bookings
  • If you're a solo entrepreneur with a life who can't spend constant time on a laptop to block out times in your calendar AND the booking system, this unfortunately makes the whole thing obsolete

Easy, effective and saved a lot for us

We are an e-bike service provider, We spent a long time looking for a booking system that accepts the payment method in Denmark and gives us full control to schedule our appointments and follow up after the service. Very easy to use, including all payment methods in the Scandinavian area, does what it should for an easy workflow

Nothing really, you might find the add-on a bit hard to understand, but once you start using the system, it all makes sense

Focused on the essentials and without unnecessary notifications!

The biggest advantage is the cloud based nature. This means I always have all my data with me, whether in the office, onsite with a client or on vacation. This has become indispensable for me.

What they liked
  • The best features is definitely the documentation function, which allows you to save emails, photos and documents related to individuals and institutions in the history and link these to others
  • This way, all employees can see what has happened and what still needs to be done
Room for improvement
  • Connections like those to Office 365 are not possible
  • This is urgently needed to reach more applications and usage in our company

Simply breaking the mold in a world of cookie-cutter booking software

Overall it was a fantastic experience. I had tried several different booking softwares before coming across SimplyBook.me, and it was a breath of fresh air.

The exceptionally high level of features and customization options, especially when compared to other booking options / software

  • Customization is something of a double-edged sword - the more you have, the more complicated things become
  • This felt compounded by the way things were organized, like having to go to multiple different sites depending on what you need to do

Exceptional value for money calendar scheduling that works with top platforms

SimplyBook.me works great for our use — it connects with all 3 major platforms (including iCloud calendar), and is easy enough for clients and leads to use.

Room for improvement

Setup might require a bit of investment in terms of a learning curve, but this is not unexpected or even a major complaint — I fully expect those with multiple calendars will have to do some work

Helpful fast service for easy booking

It has been a positive experience, I have come to them with issues I need resolved quickly and they have answered all of them.

Easy Setup, Great Support, and Excellent Value

My overall experience with SimplyBook.me has been very positive. I was able to set up most of the system on my own thanks to its clear and user-friendly interface. Whenever I wasn’t sure about something, I could either use the built-in AI search tool—which pulls information directly from their materials—or contact live support. Both options were extremely helpful, and everything was successfully configured in the end. Ironically, the most challenging part of the setup was connecting the payment gateway, since Stripe’s process is quite confusing. However, that’s more of a Stripe issue than SimplyBook.me’s. We actually use SimplyBook.me for organizing a two-day event, not for running a business, and it still provides everything we need. It’s flexible, intuitive, and works perfectly for our purposes. Overall, SimplyBook.me has fully met my expectations, and the price-to-performance ratio is excellent. I can definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use booking system.

Best Booking Tool

I love using Simply Book Me, it has made our business really easy for people to book our services and to automate emails and notifications.
