Easily keep track of thousands of cases!
The program made it easy for me to personally oversee over 2000 cases. Everything from case stage to type makes it all the more easier to keep everything oragnized.
- I like the the task system the most
- I get a daily report of what I need to do that day on top of all unfinished tasks and how long they have been pending
- It takes a little bit to get used to
- I thought the emails I saved in the file were deleted only to find an icon I clicked to exclude emails
- Clicked it back on and I had everything I was looking for

Great System, Great Team of People
OUTSTANDING overall. Love the development and implementation teams. They were communicative, thorough and left no stone unturned. After conversion, they transitioned us to ongoing support, which had a minor hiccup of frustration, but once back on track, we had weekly 1-hour meetings to go over questions that came up, but anything urgent was emailed and we received a prompt response.

- The level of communication, follow up and follow through was above expectations
- As a result of their amazing effort, our conversion had only one major issue, but it was very quickly resolved with no negative impact to work
- Not a fan of the calendar integration with Outlook
- Wanted to love it, and tried several ways to make it work, but it was just not great
- I am hopeful this will improve over time
- Integration with QB works, but has some quirks that we needed to create a work-around for
- Such as, only the primary contact address pushing to QB and not being able to select a mailing address for checks when the contact has more than one address, or not being able account for a DBA name versus the check payee name
Switched From
It was not user friendly, integrations did not work and they could not get them to work during a 3-yr contract. Day-to-Day maintenance and management was extremely time-consuming.

Great Case Management Software!
I love using it, and after using for several years, we still learn new things to help be more efficient!
- The software keeps you organized and efficient with tabs for different categories, including names, phone numbers, insurance info

- Plugins for new employees or when there are updates have been a little challenging
- Templates are still a bit time consuming, but still worth it

Powerful but too complicated
I wish it were a bit simpler and tailor made.
- Nice layout, very detailed, and the flexibility to annote almost anything
- Not very user friendly or intuitive
- There are too many steps to do simple tasks and in this industry the complications get compounded with each case when processes are not clear

SA is the best bang for the buck
Exceptionally good. Claude’s trainings really prepare both users and administrators to utilize SA to a high degree.
- The back user features are easy to use
- The system is set up very well
- SmartAdvocate allows the end user to streamline processes in a quick and efficient manner
- The flexibility of the merge codes is superior to all other case management software
- Workplans are easy to create and even easier to use
- The training is voluminous and broken down so even the most basic user can understand
- The customer service is kind and extraordinary quick to respond
- I would love SA to add an option for “children”
- In other words, if I had a parent docket that said “expert deposition” I could create documents under that docket so everything is in one clean and easy to find space

ProLaw was becoming antiquated and the updates caused more problems then it was worth

My overall experience has been good. The experience has supported my own communication with clients. The software also encourages me to perform my job duties better, ultimately rewarding me by being familiar with the software and more efficiently doing job duties.

I use SmartAdvocate every day as a paralegal. Great integration with Outlook.
- Very easy to navigate and has a lot of features that I use daily
- The calendar function is very helpful
- I dislike that there is no way to automate calendar reminders
