- The Direct Deposit feature of Square Payroll makes paying employees a very streamlined and simple procedure
- The W-2 Preparation features makes tax season a breeze
- Sending employees W2s is all within the app
- Vacation/Leave Tracking has truly increased the productivity of payroll and bookkeeping
- This is the ultimate feature for this application
I feel as though with time Square Payroll will rollout a more aesthetically pleasing interface but I do not find any cons

The ease of the Square POS system is excellent with its integration with many different applications and tools. Customer Relationship Management and Payroll have become a much easier and simpler job.

- I like that staff can clock in and clock out for their shifts with Square Payroll, their tips are automatically added to their paycheck along with commission, and I receive test messages when a payroll run is about to happen so I can double check it
- Staff can also adjust their time cards and send it in as a request if they forget to clock in/out which makes it super simple for me
- Plus, they handle my new hire paperwork, quarterly payroll filings and TAXES
- They can also request vacation through Payroll and I am sure I am forgetting other features that happen in the background
I wish it Square Payroll/shifts synced up with Square Appointments so I don't have to schedule staff shifts & staff appointment windows; I am basically scheduling twice

Payroll or bust!
Square Payroll is amazing as they file my quarterly payroll taxes for me. It is very easy to log on to squareup.com and check my analytics for payroll immediately. Very user friendly! Highly recommend.
- Let's face it
- As a business owner, we need to have payroll
- Forget writing hours on paper (and searching for it later)
- Square payroll is easy to read, reports your labor cost right there for you, shows employee break times, etc
- I couldn't live without it
Quite honestly, I've used it for two and a half years, and I have nothing to complain about

My Square Payroll Software Review
Square Payroll's dashboard was very easy to navigate, the software itself was self explanatory & for the most part easy to use, but i ran into a few problems when it came to direct deposit, employee requested time off, & it was also a little more expensive then other payroll software programs.
The dashboard of Square Payroll was very easy to use & navigate, I had ran into alot of problems when it came to time off requests & also direct deposits being made on time/payday
- That there were a few times that employee direct deposits were not deposited when they were to be deposited ie: payday
- The software was more expensive than other payroll programs I have used in the past

Square got me organized, and now payroll is so much easier.
Square has been immeasurably helpful with getting and keeping me organized in regard to payroll. They send reminders and make sure I'm following all the local, state and federal laws, and organize my employee taxes so easily. Now that we have been using it for a year or more, its practically automated. The transition was harder for me, as my former payroll company had a more manual system, and the formatting process was harder for me to understand than Square. The other company made it too complicated, and Square is much easier to use and navigate, once you get used to the system. It was tough, but their customer service team was always there, ready with a real person to help guide me. You should try them.

- Taxes are shipped off and on time every time
- The set up was a bit tough for me, as I was in over my head with the tech at first

I've been utilizing Square Payroll for a number of years. It's very easy to onboard new staff, monitor hours and ultimately run payroll with very little effort.
- It's turnkey, ready to roll with very little effort needed on my part to operate
- Waiting on upgrades to scheduling and availability
- The incoming changes will have a significant positive impact on usability

I love it. I can't recommend it to enough people
- easy to use
- they handle filing all relevant information for me
- Support sometimes doesn't understand the rare problem that pops up and it may talk speaking with a few people to get it resolved
- I've never had an issue not resolved same day though

The ideal Payroll System for Small Business Owners
We've been using Square Payroll for 7 years now, and have had an exceptional experience. It was intuitive and easy to use to begin with, but they keep adding products and improving functionality.
- There is so much to love about Square Payroll, but ease of use is at the top of the list
- Our team members are able to clock in/out on our POS, which populates timecard info that is imported to run Payroll
- I can track & pay out PTO, withhold Child Support payments, distribute tips -- it's all super intuitive and clear, for both me and my employees
- I also love that they automatically withhold and remit Payroll Taxes
- It gives me a ton of peace of mind
- Honestly, I can't think of any Cons
- It's intuitive, easy to use, and affordable
- It integrates with our POS & there's an App where team members can access their paystub and tax information -- it's a great system
