Excellent product backed by even better team!

- The way it allows me to focus on content, not the delivery or display, saves me time
- It makes our content look more consistent even though it's being generated by sections across the department
- It does everything I want it to do, and it does so with ease
- It's very intuitive and easy to learn
- Just a really smart product over all
- I know they're working on it all the time, but I think FormFlow has some interesting possibilities for integration with other systems
- It might allow me to more easily route tickets to our ticketing system
- This is really minor though

Check ThoughtFarmer out for your next intranet!
Working with ThoughtFarmer was truly exceptional! They built a plan/timeline with us at the beginning and made sure we stuck to it. Their customer success team was very helpful and ensured we had the tools and training needed to succeed. We put in the work, but they successfully kept us on track.
- Although some dislikes are mentioned below, overall we LOVE our new ThoughtFarmer intranet
- The experience was wonderful, we got a great intranet, and saved money in the process
- The base rate for ThoughtFarmer was cheaper than our current intranet by a substantial amount (including adding a significant amount of new users)
- There are additional add-on features that can be purchased
- These are not necessary for a functional/organized intranet, but there are some cool options for reasonable prices
- I love that every resource has a home and the robust navigation options
- I also really like that editing/admin functions all live within the same site, as opposed to going to a different site
- They have SO MANY features that are very flexible and customizable
- It takes some work to get set up, optimize settings, and migrate content, but it's worth it
- One of our major organizational goals with the new intranet was cutting down on mass emails (emails to all staff announcing X), and this intranet will definitely help with that
- The news feature is very customizable and there are options to make information front and center on the homepage
- There are some specific features that are to be desired our new intranet, but we are still ahead of where we were with our previous platform
- Some of the features desired (these may be included in future updates): *Major limitation* External links are not searchable, and there's no 'broken link report' to see which external links may not work
- As a credit union, we have a good amount of external links
- I also want to mention that all of these points have been relayed with ThoughtFarmer, and may be part of future feature updates
- They've been very good about working in our feedback where possible
- Forms - To get a notification for a comment on the form, the commenter has to tag you
- In theory that's a small step, however it's not something our staff has gotten the hang of yet
- Also it would be helpful to add comments to forms
- Content editing - If a page is in 'draft mode' it doesn't exist at all
- Ideally, there would be a live/published version along with the draft version
- Additionally, there could be a permissions setting where a user can update content, but it needs to be routed for approval by someone else before publishing
- There is a way to manually set a collaborator, but there's a very real possibility this can be bypassed

We were using two separate intranet platforms (Engageware & Simplify IT) at two separate credit unions, but we were going through a merger and decided a fresh start would be appropriate. I'm so glad we made this decision - ThoughtFarmer is so much better than either of these!

Great product!
We have had so many changes within our company not just in staff but direction and overall priorities, so pivoting has been important for us and whenever I bring ideas to bring each vision to life I have had to call support for assistance and have really created some great relationships. Their goal is to help you succeed and look good and I always appreciate their efforts and support.
- Ease of use and seamless integration and great customer support
- Whenever I call support they take the time to understand our unique requirements and tailor a solution that perfectly suited our needs
- They have always been responsive, proactive, and attentive to our concerns
- Any issues or questions we've had were promptly addressed, ensuring minimal disruption to our day-to-day operations
- It's reassuring to know that we have their support whenever we need it
- Limited customization options
- Some of out departments may wish for more flexibility in customizing their department page's appearance or features to better align with each department's unique needs and branding
- This may be more of an us issue rather than Thoughtfarmer, but we've brought some ideas to the table that weren't able to come to life due to limited options

Loyal Customer for past 8 years!
We have been using ThoughtFarmer in two instances since 2017 and have recommended it to many companies and law firms in the GTA due to the value for money, services and out-of-the box ease of use.
- Excellent service, price and the interface is pretty user friendly
- Our firm is very engaged with the content throughout the site
- Administrative rights could use more tweaking and broken down a bit more by section vs role
- We have too many super admins due to how they need to administer certain aspects of our interanet

It was approx. 16 years old, had a lot of limitations and not dynamic. Very static.
Why they chose it
"Pricing was lower than competitors plus we were offered a discount for our 2nd instance, EN/FR toggle and being able to force MTL users to their FR interface every 24 hours, interactive maps, localized interfaces for our 3 firm offices (securing content for the specific office eyes), compatible file sharing i.e. from our DMS to intranet was extremely important to link to documents while respecting ethical walls or restrictions, could host our most valuable external links i.e. main enterprise search, cloud based hosting, calendar capabilities, blogging, archive stale content (manually or set a date), analytics/reporting were very impressive re details, drag-and-drop cards and customizations were very important, being able to have our firm standard fonts/styles and visual identity across our intranet including logos."

A Modern Intranet Built Around the End User
I have been a customer for over 15 years and implemented the product in two organizations. This is an excellent product with a superb company behind it.
ThoughtFarmer is an end-user centric product with any possible feature you can imagine for a many-to-many communications, all implemented in a highly intuitive way
- Recent move from a choice of cloud and on-prem to a cloud only solution
- This concern will be addressed when ThoughtFarmer obtains FedRAMP cert

Highly Recommend!
The company was very organized. They were prepared for this large undertaking and had all the tools/resources ready to assist. [sensitive content hidden] was very knowledgeable and great at explaining each portion of the process to us where it was easy to understand. She made the whole process as simple as it could be!
- The best part of ThoughtFarmer was the smooth implementation process
- We had a small timeframe to get this product launched and fully transition all of our internal information over on top of training our employees to do so
- We had several meetings a week to ensure our employees had the resources available
- [sensitive content hidden] was also quick to respond to any questions we came across outside of the meetings as well
- I do wish there were more options of cards to be available to give it more fun personalization for different topics
- But the selection itself as it really covers a lot already

The previous intranet was extremely dated. The system was not user friendly at all and it was nearly impossible to get the Search function to filter in appropriate assistance.

Wonderful Launch with ThoughtFarmer
ThoughtFarmer was a fantastic company to work with. Their team was professional, friendly, and responsive from start to finish. Everyone we worked with throughout the project was helpful and made the process seamless.
- The ThoughtFarmer site was easy to set up, and the platform is both modern and user-friendly
- Our users have been very pleased with the product since its launch
A couple of the functions could be a little more flexible, several enhancements require an add-on cost, and reports could be a bit more built out
Switched From
Price and an outdated product with little to no product support.
Why they chose it
"The ThoughtFarmer team seemed like a better fit or our organization."

ThoughtFarmer Knocks it Out of the Park!
It's been a most excellent experience. I think ThoughtFarmer offers fantastic value for the money, especially when you consider the level of quality you get across the product and customer service.
- ThoughtFarmer's intranet platform provides all of the features and services we need
- The learning curve to use the system is low, so we were able to jump and and get designing quickly
- Finally, the implementation team was top notch when it came to collaboration and answering our questions
- Honestly, there's nothing we didn't like
- There are, of course, features we want that we've used before, but these are all custom to what we're used to, not what we need, and we've found way to work without them
Why they chose it
"ThoughtFarmer felt warmer and more inviting, and the price was comparable."

ThoughtFarmer added so much value to our internal comms!
The onboarding process was excellent and the build out of our intranet was seamless. The training was also very intuitive and the platform is very easy to use. It is modern and very customizable!
- Everything from the beginning of the project to the roll out of the firm project was excellent
- The customer service was excellent, and the technical assistance was great
- The intranet has added so much value to our internal processes
The only thing I don't love about TF is that some of the things I wish we could customize aren't customizable

Fun New Intranet
Very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. The weekly meetings were super helpful. Being able to look at other company sites was nice so we could get an idea on how we wanted ours to look.
- I like how simple it is to use and navigate
- The final product looks really nice
- Definitely an upgrade from what we had before
- the uploading and how it shows at the bottom of the page
- If there was a way to upload something and have that part hidden would make this so much better
