Amazing Platform for Website Devlopment.
I don't know about any website development language and WordPress help me to develop a beautiful website for my business and my clients. It is very good for a non-technical person.
- It is very easy to design your first website so much time-saving
- also so many plugins are availble they gives templates for making website like elementor is greate plugin it's a page bulider plugin help to create and edit page
- The speed of WordPress website is not too good
- Due to unnecessary codes, the website size is increased

Easy to use if you like basic layouts
like how easy it is to use once the site is built. Building the site is a bit challenging as I am not a coder and if you want your site to look just a little bit different than what the template is you will have to know coding.
- It's easy to make changes to my website
- The templates are not the greatest as they expire after a while and you are forced to builing a new design for your site
- The templates expire without warning causing your site to look bad and some pages wont even load
- once you get a new template installed all the font images and alignment are no longer correct
- I don't like that every few years I have to completely rebuild my site
Why they chose it
"I understood how to use wordpress the most and didn't want to have to take classes to learn how to build and edit my website"

Wordpress for Website
For the most part it was good. Took a bit of getting used to and watching a lot of videos online.
- I liked having control over my own site
- It still has to be hosted by a third party but other than that yearly fee it was very convenient and saved us money
- Referring to the above is the host fees
- You have to pay a third party for hosting
- The 1st year was relatively low but they get you when renewing and it was almost the same as paying for an ecommerce store
Switched From
The cost was super low compared to all other options
Why they chose it
"At the time it seemed cheaper than most other ecommerce stores and having more functionality."

Wordpress is great, but...
Wordpress was fine. I cannot say the same about some of the plugins. Also, customers service is a bit lacking.
- Provides maximum flexibility and ease of use for Wordpress specifically
- The interface is intuitive, and there is a wide variety of free and paid themes to suit every need
- It doesn't include enough built in functionality for a store
- Multiple plugins are required, and they aren't all easy to use
- Also, the level of customer service varies a LOT
Switched From
Not enough ROI to justify the cost. I liked it ok, other than that. Easy to use, etc.

Solid content platform but plugins are a pain
Wordpress is simple on the surface, but there is a learning curve to truly understand how it works under the hood. I have considered alternatives, like Ghost and Substack, but for now, I am sticking with Wordpress. When I enabled comments on my site, I had to experiment with Akismet, settings, and snippets for a week in order to get the spam submissions under control. Something to consider, if you plan on using Wordpress and want to enable comments.
- Powerful content publishing platform
- Fairly easy to get started
- I use it with ACF to make it easy to use custom post types, taxonomies, and fields
- The plugin experience, for one
- So many simple things that seem like they should be built into the platform instead require a separate plugin (or snippet)
- With plugins, you're at the mercy of the creators and must rely on them to update their code, keep it secure, etc
- I've had to swap out abandoned plugins, pay for others, and I'm always concerned about security vulnerabilities
- This makes me a lot less confident about using the platform as a whole
- Another thing I don't like is the API exposure
- It is very hidden to the beginner, who may not realize that they are exposing their personal information, for example
- This part of the platform could stand to be made much clearer

Not What I Had Hoped
I was asked to update the design of a WordPress website for a community club. I agreed to do it because I had heard WordPress was easy to use. Afterall, I spent 15 years writing HTML and editing sites for my company....how hard could it be? Sadly for me, it turned out to be MUCH for difficult
- I WANTED to like Wordpress, because I had heard so much about it
- Unfortunately, I just didn't find it very easy to use
- Ultimately I decided to go with a different product
- I found it very difficult to edit pages in WordPress
- In the end, it was just not worth the time it would take to learn the product, so I ended up going back to a different product
- I also tried using a template, but I found editing it very clumsy
- Customer support wasn't very helpful either
- They pointed me towards training videos on Youtube
- I just didn't think it should be so cumbersome
Why they chose it
"I did not choose WordPress. I opted to go with Wix."

Lots of Capabilities, But Not User Friendly
I have used WordPress to design sites for some of my clients, and my problem with using this platform as opposed to Wix or Squarespace is that it takes a lot longer in WordPress to create the desired design as it is not intuitive.
WordPress is considered to be the industry standard and has and incredible amount of capabilities and features
- I think the main problem with WordPress is that the product is not intuitive
- If you are not trained to use WordPress to some extent, executing the types of WordPress sights that make the platform a top choice for many website designers is incredibly difficult

- Wordpress have a really easy to use interface
- It don’t requires any coding
- Also, they are a lot of templates available online, this can save a lot of time
- Wordpress also supports a lot of really useful plugins
- Sometimes, it’s hard to get exactly what you want on your page
- You wanna move something a bit but you can’t
- Also, the process of creating pages from zero can take a lot of times
Why they chose it
"Easier to use and more adapted for our needs"

One of a few relevant options, maybe not my 1st choice

Wordpress was the first platform I used for software/web design/website integration but over the years I feel as though the functionality and integration are not as superior as other platforms
- Ease of use/integration
- Not as simple to build and make changes to website as if using another competing platform (i

- Squarespace)

CMS with almost endless possibilities
As a self-taught user, I find WordPress really good. The menus are very logically structured and with a little reading you quickly understand the structure. Thanks to the plugins, WordPress can be adapted to practically all needs and is therefore an optimal solution for professional users.
- The value for money is great - you basically get a free Content Management Software that is customizable beyond your dreams
- Espacially when used with Elementor or other plugins
- Can be strenous at times, updates sometime break plugins so be careful
- Don't forget that wordpress is baseline free, but plugins can cost money
