My impressions of MyCase a little more than a year in
Overall, my experience with MyCase has been a positive one. I love the client portal and have received excellent feedback from my clients about how professional my CMS is. The texting feature is amazing as I am someone who wants to save all of my client communications. Texting using MyCase makes that incredibly easy.
- I love how easy MyCase makes it for me to stay in communication with my clients
- I also love the task feature as it gives me the kinds of reminders I need to stay on track with my cases
- I do not like that what I can access on the mobile app is very different/limited compared to what I can access on my computer's browser
- I also do not like how counterintuitive some of the customization features are in terms of where on the platform they can be found or how the options work

Gets the job done.
Overall I have had a good experience with Mycase. It has allowed me to operate and grow my law firm while ensuring a relatively painless experience for my clients through Mycase payments and the client portal.
- Value for money
- Originally it was extremely affordable and still had all the features I needed to run my firm more efficiently
- Mycase took a very long time rolling out integrations that Clio had for awhile
- This included email integration, etc
- I think they've definitely made up ground in that area but it unfortunately comes with a larger price tag

Perfect Invoicing and collections!
A fabulous and inexpensive tool for small law firms
Integration of Trust account and operating account billing, invoicing via email, acceptance of credit cards online at a reasonable cost, seamless access to timekeeping information
- The only down-side to MyCase is that it is difficult to pull up, revise and re-save a document within a case
- Not impossible, just clunky

I always brag about my case and practice management system.
Overall very positive. I was not happy with the sudden price increase but alas the system has proven invaluable. Easy to learn and very user friendly. Very flexible, especially the invoicing aspect of the system.
- Comprehensive and intuitive platform for case management, billing and practice managment/financial analysis
- Very easy to learn and use
- Makes invoicing and timekeeping a breeze
- Even has useful perks like document e-signing
- The cost has gone up significantly
- but what hasn't - some of the features such as mycase desktop are useless - if they add to my costs I am not using them and so the company should focus on its core usefullness and not try to replace word or whatever they were trying to do with the internal editing platform

I was not happy with the platform and it did not offer as many feature or the same ease of use.

Good File Management Software for the Price for Solo Attorneys
Pretty good for the price. The customer service is usually available, the interface is agreeable and easy to use, the unlimited cloud storage is nice, and I like a lot of the app/integrations like filing straight from the MyCase file.
- Quick response/implementation to new good ideas for the software
- Customer support is pretty good, no complaints
- Sometimes software bugs can take a long time to repair
- For example, for the longest time when I would print to PDF from MyCase the auto date feature from the MyCase document would show the date as one day ahead
- It took quite awhile for MyCase to repair this bug (months) but they eventually fixed it

Features and Price
Covers all the aspects I need in firm management and accounting for a reasonable price and offers in-depth resources and one-on-one assistance (with a person!).
- As a sole practitioner, I need something affordable but that covers multiple facets: client management, case management, bookkeeping, Trust accounting, etc
- MyCase handles all of those and is priced reasonably
- Just learning a new system
- Every system handles things differently, and any switch is going to have a learning curve
- Back to Pro - the learning resources are very helpful and you can get one-one-one support

Firm Central was discontinued, so I had to select a new system.

Glue that holds everything together for me!
Great. I love the system and feel like it makes organizing my clients and also keeping them updated and informed very easy and it allows me to have the files organized and make sure I stay on top of everything.
The interface is very user friendly and has so many options to organize a case and also maintain a great flow of work to make sure nothing falls through the cracks
- Sometimes the system glitches but it isn't significant to sway in the direction of not using it
- For the most part they are resolve rather quickly

Great system, wish they would change the company name though
Overall, it has been a great experience. We have used free trials for other systems and came over from another platform. MyCase has done what we need at a reasonable price.
- Total intergration with accounting, payment processing, messaging, and calendar fuctions
- Having one spot to see the entire client file inclusive of payment history has worked well for us
- Any issues with accounting add-on have had quick response times from customer support
- My only complaint is the renaming of the company to "8am
- " It is slightly annoying to see times in my inbox and have to remember that 8am is not a scheduled event but some notice from a case
- Hoping they will rebrand to anything else

Great all-in-one Practice Management System
The Customer Support team is amazing. They will use Chat functions to help you solve problems in real-time. I have always received a great response time from them.
- This practice management system has nearly all of the functionality you need to run a practice
- It has billing, invoicing, accounting, case management, tasks, and is also a CRM
- It also allows you to track your communications (texts and emails mainly) automatically
- I have built all of my activities around MyCase
- There are a few things MyCase should consider
- First, I think for a large pracitce there is good value for money, but the pricing model is fairly expensive for a solo practitioner
- I would suggest a lower pricing tier for one-person practices
- Second, it doesn't have client scheduling, which would be very beneficial
- Otherwise, it's great

"All of the necessary functionality was there, including cloud security and privacy. It also has a built-in integration with LawPay for collecting credit and bank payments."

I most appreciate the accessibility and patience of the customer service representatives. My experience with 8amMyCase is excellent.
- 8am MyCase has excellent customer support
- The representatives are readily accessible and very patient
- I am a sole practitioner and I fund it good value for the costs
There is a bit of a learning curve due to the numerous features, but customer support is readily accessible
