About Avochato

Avochato is a messaging and reputation management solution designed for companies of all sizes. It offers customer review management, response management, review monitoring and reporting functionalities within a suite. The product caters to a variety of industries, including insurance, home care, real estate, auto dealerships, logistics, delivery services and e-commerce. Avochato features review management, which allows users to create campaigns for review acquisition. Users can solicit reviews from customers using links to their reviews accounts, such as Yelp! And Google Reviews. Users can also request feedback on their products and services via text messages. Avochato also provides the real-time net promoter score (NPS) based on customer reviews and ratings. Avochato is available both in cloud-based and on-premise deployment options, and it also offers a mobile app for iPhones and Android devices. The product also integrates with different business systems, such as Slack for project management, Desk.com for help desk ticketing, Salesforce CRM and Office 365.

Makes it easy to text customers fast!

It’s a helpful tool for messaging customers fast and staying organized. It saves me time and makes it easier to give good service.

What they liked
  • I really liked how easy it was to talk to many customers at the same time
  • The messages feel personal, and I can keep track of every conversation in one place without getting confused

  • Sometimes it takes a few seconds to load messages
  • I also wish it had more ways to customize the auto-replies

Awesome all-in-one tool for one-to-one SMS/MMS communications and blast marketing!

Avochato has upped our CS game by 1000%. Customers tell us every day how nice it is to be able to text with us. It's awesome that we can use just one service for both CS communications and marketing blasts. Customers being able to text our regular business phone number is a game changer. We used to have one number to call us, another for one-to-one texting, and another one for blast marketing campaigns. It was super confusing and annoying for my staff and my customers. We also use the website widget, keywords, and automated surveys to promptly interact with our customers. The best part about Avochato is their AMAZING customer service! Quick, friendly, and always very helpful. In the past, I've had people at tech companies talk down to me because I am female and also because I run a retail/service business in an interesting industry. I've never once been talked down to by the staff at Avochato. Their few and far between bugs are addressed promptly. Rollouts of new features seem to very well tested because there is rarely a hiccup. Overall.... Love it!! It's just what my business needed.

Room for improvement
  • So far, there hasn't been much
  • I do wish that emojis/emoticons were a little less expensive to send (they count as 2 or 3 SMS messages, I can't remember exactly at this moment) because we are all so accustomed to adding those to texts without thinking much about them, but I've pared them down a bit from automated messages and it's helped a bit
Switched From

Tagging isn't working above, but we also used EZ Texting and FireText. They were very friendly and helpful, but neither platform did what I needed it to. I needed an all-in-one service/platform for seamless texting between one-on-one messaging and blast marketing, as well as an easy to use interface.

Why they chose it

"I had originally been interested in Teckst (before I knew of Avochato), but I had a very terrible interaction with one of their staff members named Evan. He would not explain anything about their service after I told him we were a company of fewer than 10 (we will be larger than that very shortly). I asked to speak to a manager after he was quite rude to me and he never bothered to respond to me, nor get me in contact with a manager. He told me "good luck" and that a manager would contact me if "they felt it was necessary". Maybe that service is good? Maybe it's not? Who knows because they were awful to interact with and I'm not interested in their services if that's the sort of customer service they offer."

Avochato Use

Overall I enjoy the app and find to help me in may daily communications with my team.

What they liked
  • I am really impressed with how easy this application integrates with other applications
  • We use other apps to manage our projects and the ability to integrate Avochato is a major plus
  • This software is very friendly and easy to setup and use
  • The learning curve is flat and adding to new employees and integrating with their daily workflow is straightforward
Room for improvement
  • For the most part I really like Avochato, I just sometimes find it to be duplicate work
  • I love the historical and search features but find using normal text and email is a better fit for what I am doing

Great product!

I am a teacher with student who don’t have access to internet and the best way to get a hold of them is by personal text and phone calls. Avochato cut the work I had to do in half and freed me up to teach and not just inform families about announcements at the school. They have great customer service. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was so friendly, patient, and walked me through setting up the app. When I had questions I texted her and she responded immediately so I didn’t need to waste time setting up and learning the software.

  • This software is user-friendly and I love that I can send messages to pre-created groups
  • I also love that it comes with its own phone number with the area code I live in so people don’t think it’s junk mail
Room for improvement
  • None - it is so through it has all the features I wanted

  • I can't handle independent group conversations for different user names without them having to have a separate number
  • Plus, it doesn't support Spanish characters

Awesome tool, ripe for automation

Avochato has been a great asset to our customer-focused team and I highly recommend it.

  • Super easy to procure, implement, and start using
  • It also integrates really, really nicely with Zapier which makes it a pleasure to use in automated workflows
  • Their support has also been good when I've needed to contact them

Alternative customer chat option

This is a great product in theory, but the very inexpensive LITE option is so limited that it might as well be useless. The next tier includes not only a monthly fee per user but also a monthly platform fee, so the jump is from $19/month to over $200/month. Most extremely small businesses aren’t going to be able to afford that kind added expense. For a growing small to mid-sized business with a target market that highly prefers texting over calls, it might be worth the cost.

I love the ability to set up autoresponses for keywords, since so many customers end up having the exact same questions over and over

Room for improvement
  • The low cost version is affordable but extremely limited
  • Even small businesses will outgrow it extremely quickly, so I feel like it’s not a very valuable option

Great overall experience.

It's been awesome, the customer support is A1 quality, they are responsive and solve your issues super fast. The pricing for the service is great. Pverall all of our team members love avochato.

  • We can text, call and receive calls from our customers and providers
  • The tagging system lets you know which type of contact and several other customizable tags you may want to add
  • You can create broadcast and even schedule text messaging for whatever purpose you may need it
Room for improvement
  • when using through smartphone app it doesn't let you see your contact's tags and it can be annoying
  • It doesn't integrate with CRMs
