About Eleo

Eleo is a cloud-based donor management solution designed to help nonprofits build donor databases, manage donor interactions, track fundings, plan events and more. The donor database and contact management features help users build donor profiles and communicate with volunteers and supporters. The donor profiles are customizable, allowing nonprofits to capture the details relevant to them. The list building feature helps to create tailored lists for the entire contact database and initiate targeted campaigns. Eleo can track all kinds of gifts and pledges and can send automated acknowledgments and 'thank you' emails to donors. It can accept and process payments in all forms including cash, check, in-kind, cards and PayPal. Additional features include newsletters and solicitation emails, pledge reminders, assigning tasks to supporters, analyzing campaign performance and generating need-based reports. Eleo offers monthly subscription plans based on the number of donor records. Support is offered via phone, email and live chat, along with online webinars and training sessions.

Hard to beat Eleo

Eleo has been a great tool for our organization for over 5 years now. We are a small nonprofit with 3 employees raising around half a million per year. I use other tools in conjunction like excel, and InDesign which is really easy to do by downloading csv's from Eleo. I have always been very satisfied with the customer service, finding them both helpful, pleasant, and prompt.

What they liked
  • Eleo is hands down the best priced CRM and offers most of what the other CRMs offer at a quarter of the price
  • Integrating with our payment processor and website have been key
  • Being able to customize fields to collect specific information allows for great donor management
  • There is a great capacity for making reports customizable and being able to filter just the right information for your needs
  • The above and beyond customer service is extremely helpful and prompt
Room for improvement
  • In the past I have had issues with forms not functioning during high traffic times like of #GivingTuesday and have chosen to use another provider for this day
  • In fairness this was several years ago and we have not tried a high traffic day since
  • From time to time I have researched other CRM's as we grow because a member portal could be useful for our organization and is not offered in Eleo, but it is always just a headache and I discovered that other companies don't really offer anything more than Eleo and are a lot more money per month

"Eleo is better priced, less complicated, and very customizable. It had the options we needed (donor management, event management, grant management, stripe integration, website integrated), was straight forward and had helpful service."

Website way to slow

There are a lot of great features but the processing speed is enough of an issue that I am researching other options.

What they liked
  • You can do a lot like track donations, create event and donation pages and other links
  • You can export data
Room for improvement
  • It could be more user friendly, in my experience there have been several times when it has glitched and I've had to start over on what I was working on
  • The largest issue is that it is severely slow - like dial up in 1999 processing speed
  • I have tried it on different computers and my phone and it is extremely slow on all three
  • Other users from our organization have noted the same thing
  • I also wish their support was available more often

Outstanding Tool for Managing Donors, Grants, and More!

Great For Our Nonprofit!

I used to have Neon as our CRM. Unfortunately their software updates began counterproductive and the cost too high. Unfortunately, Neon required using their payment processing and their software updates seemed to be targeted for mid to large size nonprofits.

  • Night and day compared to our last CRM

Two years with Eleo and thrilled to recommend them

Professional. Easy to work with. Easy to problem solve (but there were few problems). No extraneous functionality.

Eleo is very helpful to me

The Eleo support people are very eager to answer any questions that I ask them. If the first person I talk to does not know the answer, then they will get someone who does know the answer to talk to me. They have worked very well with me. They explain things clearly and take me through the steps I need to know.
