About KORONA POS

KORONA POS provides point of sale software, inventory management, and CRM services for all types of retailers, such as convenience stores, liquor shops, and QSRs. The POS software also caters to museums, theme parks, and wineries with its ticketing and membership features and integrations. The cloud-based solution can scale with businesses to serve multi-location and franchise operations. It can automatically calculate commission and franchise royalties. All business operations through the point of sale can be completed on-site or remotely. Newer KORONA POS features provide advanced product analysis with ABC inventory grading, detailed sales reporting, automated reordering, stock notifications, theft prevention, and employee management tools. Most features are fully customizable, including gift cards, promotions, discounts/sales, staff permissions, menus, reports, and more. KORONA POS is payment processor agnostic, leaving the choice up to the retailer. The software runs on Windows, Linux, and MacOS, and on either mobile or stationary hardware. Finest Retail POS available - evaluated many.

Through pre-sales, partner resources and onboarding, sales presentation to my client - All the way to importing products to end user resources, hardware installation, production support and technical support; Korona has been hand in hand, working for success. Working with with these on-shore professionals has been refreshing and profitable

  • Besides sales and onboarding resources as a partner, Korona support has been the finest I’ve had the pleasure of working with in my 25 year career as an independent IT service provider
  • All of the staff are friendly, available, resourceful, knowledgeable and capable
  • The continuity of support requests between staff is seamless

  • I’ve not yet found a weak spot
  • The greatest challenge I’ve had with the product is finding the simplest use of the product’s features

A Vast Improvewment!

We switched over from an older POS to Korona almost 5 years ago. The system is great! Fast, efficient, customizable, and has great reporting tools as well! We use it everyday, with only minor issues here and there. A quick call to the support staff will always fix it, they are are very friendly and based in the USA!

What they liked
  • Korona revolutionized how we did business in our Museum gift shop
  • The retail/inventory systems are top notch and far and away better than what we were using
  • The system is easy to use, and the support staff is super helpful
Room for improvement
  • The system software is originally from Germany, so there was a slight learning curve trying to figure out POS button sequences
  • It's the most efficient, but it takes some getting used to
  • There are also a lot of features, which is a plus, but they aren't all explained very well without multiple emails/calls with the support team

Terrific culture at Korona.

The people are honest and helpful while always being responsive and prompt. Unlike our last POS provider, they want our business to be enhanced by their product.

What they liked
  • The people that work there are TERRIFIC
  • The system is almost fully customizable, and the equipment is solid
Room for improvement
  • It is complex, you have to be committed to getting the most out of the system
  • The terminology is German in English so there is a constant stop and think for the first few months
  • We are 5 months in and just getting routinely used to things like “price” means “cost” and “product code” means “UPC code” while “item code” means “product code”
  • In addition, the terminology changes inside of there system depending on what your doing
  • Makes it harder for terminology to stick

Bevly was a train wreck. Automatic data feeds from suppliers had inaccurate product data. They would not allow us to turn the data feeds off. It was like swatting flies in a landfill. We finally had to just jump off the train. Incidentally, we are saving quite a lot of $$$$ with this switch.

Korona POS Review

We are still working on learning all the features available on this system, but having been in banking for over 23 years and working in IT for 7 of those years, I know without doubt this is the BEST system available on the market!

What they liked
  • We have looked at approximately 4 other POS systems and Korona is by far, our favorite system
  • For the price, they offer many more features than any of the top three POS systems we reviewed

Because of all its features, it takes more time to learn all the functions that are available to the user

Price - It's not that we didn't like Lightspeed, but they have continued to raise prices without any reason for doing so. Korona is much more cost effective.

Best business decision!

I had such an antiquated system before, implementing Korona has been a huge game changer for my overall profitability. Implementation was seamless and painless! The support staff is great and always ready to help. Had I known it would be this easy, I would have made the switch sooner!

  • All the POS features are customizable based on your business and the reporting is pretty endless

My only "want" at this point is more features available from the mobile version of the back office

Running reports and accessing the data I need to make business decisions was a nightmare. The software was not web-based and does not run on a Mac computer. Working in that system was so time consuming.

My account executive got right to the point and answered all my questions. There was no "selling" me, which I loved.
