Solid POS for multiple industries
It's good, it does what it says it does, payments run without trouble and money auto batches.
- Good simple interface, kind of like a phone, app marketplace is varietal for your needs
- Good customer service, great features and simple connections
- Software customizable
- Every machine needs to be programmed to one sole processor
- If you switch then you have to buy a brand new one
- I wish the machines came in black

Easy to Use and Competitive Rates
Overall, the product is simple enough to use that I am not worried about any of our contracted therapists messing up the process and avoiding taking payments.
- What I like most about Clover is that it can be downloaded on any smart device as app and has an easy to use card chip reader
- Our agency wanted a chip reader for extra customer security and Clover offered that option
- I like least about the software is that is does not capture customer information as simple as their first and last name, but simply has a text box for a description
- Our agency uses the device for customer copays for therapy appointments and in the text box I am forced to put the customers last name in order to reconcile payments later

Buyer Beware
I have been with Clover about 4 years now, constant rate increases, they upcharge for every little feature. They are constantly changing the plans and rates and my CC fees have gone through the roof. I am now paying over 10% cc processing fees. They bait you in with low initial fees then start jacking them up over time. Buyer Beware!

- Thier Customer service is the worst
- Software is glitchy and difficult to use
- Hardware very cheap, sound stopped working first month
- Pricing is low to start but then they slowly jack your rates over time
- Everything about the system is poor
- The equipment is cannot be reused, don't buy used equipment, they will refuse to activate it
- Reports are always missing key details
- If you want a complete system, you will have to purchase many upgrade apps with high monthly fees, just to have the most basic of features
- The company is 1 step of from being a complete scam

"Tried out lightspeed and it has different issues. Again poor customer service, not as bad as clover but very limited hardware and poor cc processing system that just wouldn't work most of the time."

Clover will not let you cancel despite multiple attempts
bad service bad service unit failed and they did not replace failed unit I switched services and they kept charging me , It is impossible to cancel without supreme run around and they tried to phish me for more info to give me a bonus !))bucks for cancelling but i had to switch to another recorded line to give my bank info they already should have had
was recommended by a banker because it was less bad than others ,However she said it was more expensive
- Cannot get customer service to help cancelling my Clover service fee even iI stopped using it 3 years ago and they put me on hold I was still charged monthly fee me Chat helper gives another phone number when you want to cancel, They cannot cancel (they still charge you )and cancellation attempts leads you to call center that wants to update your banking info so they can give you 100 $

Clover is Criminal
Clover has stolen $35k from my company in the past two weeks. We started to notice tiny rejected transactions repeatedly, then more, then more. Contacted Clover and the account rep said the reason we were not getting serviced is because we only had 300 attempts whereas other accounts were having the same issue for 10's of thousands of attempts. They have withdrawn $35k fraudulently directly from our account despite them having our POS Systems shut down for weeks this month. There has been zero communication. They will not respond. I fear we have been defrauded by Clover and would recommend to stay as far as you can from this criminal corporation.
- Customer service is the worst ever
- The hardware itself is nice
- The fact that they steal your money without any response other than, "our security division is looking into it
- " How can you not tell me why the hell you took $35k out of our account in winter, for a landscape supplies center in Edmonton, AB, Canada, we had almost 0 sales this month

Rates were supposedly better, but now they are hitting us with huge fees for no apparent reason. We are currently trying to get in touch with law enforcement to take action against Clover.

Easy to Use, But Falling Behind the Competition
My experience with Clover was generally positive in terms of usability and ease of training. However, the platform lacks important features compared to its competitors, and I’ve seen multiple clients migrate away from it. Unfortunately, I no longer recommend Clover to my clients as I once did.
I found Clover to be a relatively simple system to use, with an intuitive interface that makes staff training quick and easy
- Clover feels significantly behind its competitors
- I used it with three different clients, and all of them eventually switched to other systems
- It lacks many features that have already been standard in other platforms for quite some time

DO NOT USE CLOVER
Not good. It was good for a while but the random cutting us off was unacceptable and demand for continued lease payments is exceptionally unacceptable.
There is absolutely nothing different about this processor except that are the only ones who ever ripped us off
- They randomly sent us a notification of stopping payment service
- Kept our customers transactions and then expect us to finish paying on a lease of equipment we can no longer use
- Horrible customer service, can randomly cut you off and keep your money
- not sure how this is not criminal, but will be reporting to the Attorney General of our state

Clover for easy payment.
Positive experience. Ease of use. Good uou can activate sim card in case of power outage. Good support.
- Very user friendly
- Easy read screen
- Easy to go back on payments and reprint
- Good support if needed
- We can capture payment and redeem gift cards but cannot reprint receipt if customer takes both copies
- Does not show under transactions
- It does not show sales and redemption of gift cards on settlement report
- Would be great if it was intergrated
- Fyi we use Ackroo gift cards

My first POS sytsem
Ran with them for about 4 years, and while they were my first POS system, they just weren't a fit for our restaurant, System rarely crashed, and you could rely on it to print almost every time
Its design - It's sleek, and modern looking - the flex portable payment system is also out of the world
The inability to customize things to our shoppe- The system itself is great, but it isn't geared towards restaurants, more retail
