Rapid, Reliable UX Insights Without the Research Overhead
Our overall experience has been excellent. Lyssna helped us build a habit of user testing early and often. It’s reduced rework and design churn, while increasing confidence in our UX decisions. We’ve seen measurable improvements in onboarding flow completion rates and have been able to present real user data to stakeholders during reviews. The learning curve is minimal, and the value becomes obvious almost instantly.
- The ability to quickly gather unbiased user feedback without needing to recruit participants manually was a game changer
- Lyssna's pre build test like the First Click, Five Second and preference tests, helped our validate within hours
- the platform us incredibly easy to use, even for non-researchers and the participant panel targeting options are impressively granular
- Managing multiple studies becomes cumbersome over time, especially when collaborating across teams
- There is no native folder or tagging system to organize test effectively
- Also integrations with project management tool like Notion, Asana or Jira are missing this create a manual step when syncing insights with our product roadmap

Easy to use, a must for any designer.
It's been my go-to tool for quick turn-around feedback from 'strangers'. I'm able to customise some general panel requirements.
- How easy to use and the options available for different types of surveys and usability tests
- Honestly it's one of the easiest tools out there and should be a must for any designer/researcher
- Credits can add up, but at least it gives you freedom without being constricted to a monthly plan
- In the Demographics settings (customising panel recruiting), I wish there was an option of 'all BUT X' so I don't have to select/include several of a demographic's categories just so one is excluded
Why they chose it
"UserTesting is too expensive and requires monthly plans."

A Beautiful tool, but hard to leverage in practice
Disappointing. Their customer service is responsive and fantastic, but that doesn't out compete their inflexible product pricing models. Additionally working across locations was painful and if you don't close all of your tabs out between teammates, it's a good chance you will lose all of your work and rebuild the study from scratch.
- Loved the research templates and how immersive you can make the prototypes
- Setting up the survey was easy
- The sneaking price increases, ended up having to use a higher tier to just get additional questions added (Even after paying over $150 for a basic monthly tier, I was still asked to pay more money for a basic set of foundational set of questions)
- I felt like I was scolded for not paying additional fees to leverage their own internal user testers instead of the ones that we recruited in-app, which is a backwards process

Best testing platform for real-world user feadback
Excellent experience with the platform and the support team - easy to user interface, uninvasive ai integration.
- I love that the platform finds respondents for you, and all you have to do is set the required demographics
- The ai 'summary generation' for open text field questions is a time saver of note
- Not knowing which test to use to achieve what outcome/result
- It would be great if there was a section to advise you on what test to use, depending on what are trying to achieve or what you would like to know

A nice tool with a convenient princing model
It's been good. Easy purchase and set up, we have 5 seats and a high use for the design and research team.
Ease of use and full integration with figma, the pricing model is also very convenient
- It does not have some types of questions like live usability test
Switched From
Because of the pricing model, they limited the use of the platform by responses and we got the same features with limitless responses in lyssna.
Why they chose it
"It was the cheapest and I got fast response to my questions from the support team"

Experience with Lyssna platform as a UX researcher
Lyssna has been incredibly responsive and iterative in their product. Every month there is a new feature, product improvement, or feedback taken from users. They are a UX company through and through.
Easy pay-as-you-go model, free version has a lot of capabilities for moderated testing, great templates for a variety of research methods
- Build for prototype testing, not for live site testing, any unmoderated sessions are limited to ~2 minutes
- Anything longer needs a paid subscription
- Recording features and other necessary testing features are not implemented yet
Switched From
Ease of use for moderated sessions and quick (less than a few minutes) unmoderated tests. Still use userfeel for mobile testing and longer unmoderated sessions.

One of my go-to tools for over a decade!
Positive for sure! When I used to speak at conferences, I often mentioned this as one of my go-to tools for user research. And I advocated to bring it into our toolbox at my current place of employment.
- I've been doing CRO for over 15 years and have relied on Lyssna (formerly UsabilityHub) to back up my recommendations and get client buy-in on test ideas
- I find it more powerful to SHOW them that 75% of users don't know what their value prop is, for example, rather than merely telling that to them, myself
- I also use it to uncover problems that I didn't initially think of
- I appreciate that the feedback is super quick and affordable
- And I like the variety of tests/polls I can run
- In recent years, they added more filters, which I like, such as hobbies, technology use, financial products, etc to better target the right respondents
- I sometimes feel like the repondents don't match the criteria I requested
- It makes me wonder what type of screening or verification there is to ensure that users truly fit the demographics they claim to
- Also, there are times that I get snarky responses, which aren't worth paying for
- So I'd like Lyssna to invest in improving -- and checking in on -- the quality of their panel, which I use exclusively

Happy with Lyssna for 5y and counting!
We started with UsabilityHub 5 years ago and are still using Lyssna. Love it, perfect for quick experiments during ideation / exploratory phase.
- Super cheap, easy to set up, fast results, large panel
- I further like the many tests they have readily available
- Key disadvantage is the screener, it's very limited
- We cannot add our own questions (e

- Also: no possibility of adding images to screener

Really easy to use tool
Great! haven't tried any competitor of Lyssna yet, so don't have anything to compare to
- Easy to use and understanding
- The fast process of tests1
- Would like to see how many respondents there are in my chosen target group
- Maybe there is this option somewhere already, but haven't seen it clearly

Powerful test builder
Overall positive experience, building, launching, recruiting and analysing results are all strong offerings. A few more customisation options would be great to see
- Very easy to build tests at any level - from simple to complex tests
- There are just enough 'limitations' to keep focussed on the task at hand and not make tests that are confusing for users to complete
- There could be a bit more customisation available, perhaps a template or something that would allow for a more personal experience
- Not being able to change intermediate screens between test tasks for example is disappointing
