MATLAB Review
I had used MATLAB for around 3 years for modelling and simulation of flight control systems of aircraft.
- MATLAB is based on mathematical and physics equation's which makes simulation and modeling very easy task
- It is most widely used tool in the robotics industry
- Sometimes simulation takes more than 24 hours to run and generate result

Amazing simulator for digital communication systems
MATLAB has helped me get a better understanding of modulation, demodulation, quantization, and various other concepts of digital communication through visualization and graphs. I also used it to play around with gaussian, segmentation and filters. A must-know for every aspiring ece engineer out there!
- It's easy syntax and predefined functions make the simulation of digital communication systems and techniques so easy and intuitive
- I have gained abundant experience by going through the documentation and have been able to implement complex mathematical concepts with MATLAB
- It's a bit pricey if you don't have a subscription from your academic institution email
- Also, it's not open source so you cannot customize it according to your specific needs, which makes it challenging for people in fields like machine learning
Why they chose it
"MATLAB has better libraries suited to my needs and coursework as compared to other products."

MatLab is super bad
The worst experience with any programming language ever.
- I have nothing good to say about MatLab
- The interface, the documentation, the syntax, essentially everything

GearUp Market Data Analysis for Real Estate Teams.
The use of MATLAB allowed teams to make rapid valuations of rental trends and provide clean charts to be presented to customers in briefings, thereby creating confidence and guiding investment decisions.
Users enjoy MATLAB's robust data analysis and easy dashboard customization, making it simple to follow local market trends and compare investment results easily
Agency teams further elaborated that data collection on industries requires additional effort, and fewer report templates require additional effort to make outputs property management relevant

MATLAB is easy and fast to use
Overall, I love using Matlab to complete my assignments for my classes. It’s an easy way to calculate various math problems. And it’s also very easy to learn the software.
- I really like how well the windows are organized
- The command window and script window are arranged nicely to allow us to code fast
- And the figures that pop up after running the program are easy to read and understand as well
- I don’t like how the program becomes a little slow at times due to too much code written
- However, it eventually does load the results

How using matlab allowed us to do unbounded creative data modelling.
It allowed us to provide statistical confidence when we showed the stakeholders complex models. We’ve used it to demonstrate campaign value and create predictive tools that are connected to client KPIs.
- We do some weird things in marketing, but we run deep data through MATLAB especially when we are looking at client ROI models, or predicting ad performance over time
- It is simply the best for custom analysis with its rich scripting capabilities
- It’s not so user-friendly to beginners, and doesn’t come cheap in terms of licensing
- Definitely a power-user tool

My Go-To Tool for Personal Analytics
Verified reviewer
- I used MatLab for the first time for a university project
- We had a lot of data to plot
- I was using Excel, and showed it to my professor
- He suggested to use MatLab to speed up the process
- I did the same plotting in MatLab, and it took just 2-3 seconds instead of 55-60 seconds in Excel
- Since then, MatLab is installed in my system
- I use it for personal projects where I can review multiple tasks, statistics, and performance charts
- I cannot mention any cons at the moment as I have not used this tool for an extensive project or as a part of my technical job
- However, I feel that the license is a bit expensive

Ease of use
A nice software to input your data in and code different outputs and plots which can be helpful to get insight on work process.
- Easy access to coding and critical information is available online
- Super easy to import data files in and get plots from it
Sometimes some of the functions can be a bit tacky / tricky to navigate through but watching few tutorials should ease the process

Great for Aspiring Engineers
Verified reviewer
- Great for engineering tools such as simulations and simulink
- It tends to have a bit of everything for multiple engineering disciplines
- The coding uses C/C++
- Though not a massive deal it does have it's limitations compared to python or C#
