About Member365

Member365 is a cloud-based nonprofit solution for member-based organizations. Features offered within the platform include membership management, automated membership renewal, a member portal, event planning, email marketing, fundraising and more. Member365 provides members with a password-protected portal they can access across several platforms, including phones and tablets. From the portal, members can do a variety of tasks including renewing their membership, engaging in discussion forums with other members, managing their profile and registering for events. The integrated event management feature comes with a wide range of tools that organizations can implement at every step of the process. Users can set up web registrations and payments, manage attendance, send email reminders and run financial reports. Member365’s users have access to a knowledge base, weekly training webinars, an onboarding coach, a customer support team and training sessions that are available online, in one-on-one and in group sessions.

Member365 Helps Us Succeed

I have been extremely satisfied with Member365.

What they liked

Member365 was easy to use and the onboarding team was excellent with helping us set up our integrate and execute

Room for improvement
  • I wish there were some additional features in the eBlast, especially to be able to set a time for distribution and more features that other third party providers have
  • It would be nice to see an upcoming more modern-looking platform and membership portal eventually
  • Also, it would be nice if M365 partnered with MySpreadshop or other merchandise third party vendors, so we can cut bac on using other third party companies

Member365 took our organisation to the next level of professionalism.

Not only has the product made a huge difference to our organisation, but it has been fantastic working with [sensitive content hidden] They are so willing to help and genuinely seem interested in helping our organisation be successful.

What they liked
  • It has all the features we need and it is very user friendly
  • It helps us to work better as a team and the customer support for onboarding and continued support is fantastic
  • Member365 is always willing to take on feedback for product improvement too
Room for improvement
  • There are lots of settings and it's not always easy to work out what they mean
  • I suspect this is a language issue
  • What makes sense in Canada, doesn't always make sense to other English speaking countries
  • A few more definitions might help

The drop down menu for this is not offering our previous software. I have had to chose the only one available to make this feedback work. Changed from Paid Membership Pro due to insufficient functionality. We needed to integrate membership with events, accreditation, LMS etc

Wonderful Customer Service

Overall, it's been a good experience. Excellent customer support. A very thorough system, and it's easy to manage our members with it.

What they liked
  • They've been very helpful with any questions or concerns we've come to them with
  • Recently do to budget issues, they were very accommodating to helping us keep the program at a lower cost
  • They've always been helpful with our questions and with training when we've brought new people in
Room for improvement

My own inexperience with it, sometimes makes it less intuitive to use, and I often wonder if it has more tools than I really need, but overall, there are no cons

Not recommended for ANY association to use.

The overall experience was the most unprofessional experience for any association to have. Between their [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and other team members, the company is around 10 or so people, no one was supportive, helpful, and refused to fix many programming issues. This caused massive issues with our membership management. There is zero integration with other products. Functionality that they said was on their roadmap has never been implemented in years.

What they liked
  • The user interface is nice looking and appears easy to learn
  • Their price point is at a mid-tier level for association budgets
Room for improvement
  • All of the functionality is broken
  • This system has many software/ programming issues that their team is unable to fix
  • Their sales representatives claimed it could handle different membership tiers, our membership, etc
  • Their team was unable to provide solutions to support tickets
  • Since implementation, we submitted around 50 to 60 tickets due to system glitches, issues, and software problems
  • Their team would answer support tickets but only to delay any real solution

We thought the system was more user-friendly and had a few more features, but the number of issues with programming and functionality caused it to be a bad switch.

Good Value Management System

A great system for membership management and event management. Keeps what we do organized and connected.

User-friendly, secure and accessible

As a small team managing and navigating the features of the site, we find the Member365 team to be very responsive and helpful. They are readily available to provide us with training on the use of their platform, and they’ve done so on several occasions, particularly when we were exploring the range of the platform features and options tailored to our needs. Member365 is user-friendly and intuitive, so we haven’t required much training and onboarding new team members has proven simple. If you need a secure platform for sharing information and files, enabling collaboration across organisations, and Canada-based data storage, then Member365 is the tool for you.

What they liked
  • Our team has been using Member365 for nearly a decade now and we are consistently satisfied with the services and the platform
  • As a small team supporting a pan-Canadian portfolio, we require a tool that enables member access to our files and information in a secure environment with Canada-based data storage
  • There are very few options available to meet these requirements, but Member365 does all of that and more
  • It is just a quick sign-up for our members to access information and the files they need, and it is very simple on our end to manage membership and permissions
  • The variety of options for storing our files and materials makes project management streamlined and organized, as we can easily create document categories and sub-folders and include information in both official languages

Great Platform - Great People

We were looking to replace our membership platform that was not user friendly or responsive. Member365 one of the best customer service oriented companies I have worked with - can not say enough about my onboarding coach, [sensitive content hidden], who is not only super knowledgeable about the platform but was instrumental in moving my organization's 1500+ member profiles from another platform to M365 and training us to use the platform efficiently. She was critical in assisting with the creation of our first large event registration (many members commented on the vast improvement over our former platform). She - and a shout out to [sensitive content hidden] - have been great resources for any and all questions I have had.

What they liked
  • Love the ease of the platform - very user friendly
  • Customer service is quick with responses (often with short video solutions)
  • They provide newsletter and webinar trainings to support customers
  • They are open to suggestions for future upgrades
  • Affordable for non-profits
  • Have people like [sensitive content hidden] working there
Room for improvement
  • Nothing - We knew what we were purchasing and got that and more

Intuitive and Excellect Support

  • The UI is really easy to understand and intuitive to all of my members
  • My members were able to easily transition from our old platform without too much training
  • In terms of an admin experience they made our transition extremely easy
  • My favorite part has been how responsive they are to questions whether simple or complex

My biggest pain point is (and there is a workaround solution) that some email campaigns don't show buttons depending on what browser/app my members are using

365 degrees of caring

Really good. Everything was within Member365's built environment rather than being separate apps that simply interfaced with it. I am not convinced the new CRM we are moving to (Salesforce) will be better.

What they liked
  • I liked how responsive the help team was
  • Not only in addressing our immediate concerns, but in adding our "wish list" items to their "to do" list
  • Most of the features we asked for were rolled out at some point and usually quickly
  • Personally, I liked the somewhat old-fashioned looking interfaces, as I find it quicker to find information via lists, etc
  • rather than graphical treatments
Room for improvement
  • Not me; however, some of our members didn't find it particularly intuitive to use
  • The member interface was a bit old-fashioned looking and sometimes it was hard to create exactly what we wanted (though with time we got closer)

Recommended all-in-one for membership, event, and communications management/reporting.

Very positive - I often demonstrate the software for other arts service organization and provincial museums associations.

What they liked
  • All-in-one systems like M365 save valuable time and increase overall efficiency of client/member management
  • My favourite feature is the Lists function, which can pull information from all modules and allow hyper-targeted contact list creation
  • For example, in just a few clicks, you can create a list of primary contacts from a specified region that attended your recent conference
  • Communications, outreach, and user retention made easy
Room for improvement
  • M365 currently has no mass edit/delete option for contacts which - in a sector with rampant turnover - can be challenging
  • The quantity of contact records dictates the price of the software and one-by-one maintenance can be too time-consuming to complete while so many other aspects are easy/automated
