Quite impressive, solid and feature rich application
We are still in the application's development phase. Still, we are pretty impressed. It is a comprehensive and solid application that integrates well without many issues you would experience, even with the big players. Many of its features work out of the box by simply adding your keys and configuration. If things continue the way we currently experienced our onboarding and work, we look forward to seeing how fruitful it can be.
- We just started working with the application, but what attracted us was that it is very feature-rich, especially on the development side
- The API, Zapier, and Webhook integration, plus the ability to customize, are important
- In addition, it seems to have completed much of the heavy lifting, so you can focus on customization over development, which is a definite plus
- It has the majority of important functionality integrated, which allowed us to choose it over using some of the other applications in which we had to invest more development time and effort
- We are still exploring and haven't found many negative points yet
- Besides the development aspect, there is not much documentation around the scripting capabilities that allow us to use some of the classes or pull from the system, but it could be that we don't know where it lives yet
- Video capabilities could improve, but this may be on the roadmap, and the application does quite a few things well
- We are a development agency, so we are very familiar with many applications in the industry
- Many of the features and functionality are familiar, so moving around is not an issue, unlike someone who may not have that experience
- But at the moment, we haven't found too many bad points worth outlining, and we want to resolve them first before putting them under the application limitation

It requires a lot of development and set up as well management on our end. We chose to try BD because it was very streamlined and allowed us to focus more so on the business over the development

The ultimate LEGO for your business
I'm still on the learning curve testing it out if it can be or not a good fit and user friendly to use has a community platform, I have something to twerk like how to manage a decent community and that can be used in a way that my users can access it easily and with less learning curve as possible.
- It's a full potential platform, not only for creating directories but also courses, community, blog and landing pages
- I like the ability to customize, LEGO like which enables you to create anything in the context that this platform allows
- I see also in a way that can be scalable starting with digital products then a blog then, community and directory
- I like the documentation that allow you to find anything you want to create along a with a five star team that is always ready to help
- This also give me trust that in the future this platforma will be even better because the team is actively trying to make this a better and better tool
- I guess is the learning curve, and I'm still managing to navigate on it to create a simple community and a blog, but this is nothing to do with BD but to the learning that must be done by me and that is innerent any platform of this kind
- Some are easier I admit then others BD is so far a average learning curve
- Although I'm seeing that once you start mastering the principles the rest is transversal to the all platform

Very Useful Platform for a Directory Startup
We could never have gotten our directory up and running with Brilliant Directories, or something like it.
- Brilliant Directories offers all of the features that any directory needs
- It's easy to add options such as: coupons, photos, videos, and blogs, as well as different membership levels
- Importing and exporting data is also quite simple
- By necessity, this software is quite complex
- This isn't a flaw - it's just the way a quality directory is
- It takes time to learn everything that you need to know to get a directory up and running
- Consequently, I recommend starting out with a very specific market niche, and a limited number of features
- "Bells and whistles" can later be introduced as upgrades

Very Comprehensive and with time easy to use interface
It’s definitely a learning curve as everything in life but I love that you would deal with the headache of other methods building directories like Wordpress which I tried for many years and it was just a headache, can not believe why took me so long to find BD.
At first it’s intimidating for no developer person but I really love that they provide with lots of tutorials and constant webinars, that really make it easy to follow
I would love to see the new design / front end themes capabilities that they said it’s coming along now that the rest of the back end it’s pretty robust

It will save you a lot of headaches.
I have tried other directories, from the best sellers to others that are very simple and low payment. However, I have also had problems with them and mainly with translation. Every time the loco translate plugin was updated, it would misconfigure everything, or with the theme itself when it was updated, it would get something unconfigured. Mainly in the part where customers showed their information, which is in Spanish. And that was very frequent. And the creator of that directory preferred sales to having translation into another language natively. And this was a real headache: to stop paying attention to other things to correct this. To begin with, that's why I switched to Brilliant directories, because it already has the Spanish language by default. And now that I have your attention, let me tell you how good and how bad Brilliant directories has been for me and why FOR ME, IT WAS A HEADACHE NOT TO HAVE USED IT BEFORE: The Good: You save a lot of effort. Short and fast learning curve. Its basic tutorials to get started are clear. If you're not a developer, this is your best buy. The support team is fast and effective. You will save yourself something that is more expensive in your entire life: time. (Time that you don't have enough or that you can dedicate to other projects). The Bad: It's not cheap. (Nor are cars with all the safety systems, a larger family car, or sports cars.) However, for me, it's worth every penny I spent. If you are an entrepreneur and you are starting out and you do not have many resources, I suggest that you save and invest in it. Even if it's with the basics. For me it is a way of investing in an asset that will generate passive income. So I consider it to be a good investment in the short and long term, or a good expense that is worth making. That's why I'm telling you. It will be a headache if you don't have brilliant directories, you're going to waste a lot of time updating other directories

It has been a lifesaver, and beyond more than I could have bargained for. I needed to buy more for my projects and dreams.
- As soon as I got into brilliant directories, I immediately had 80%+ of my membership site done
- The ease of use and add-ons is ridiculously insane and worth the investment
- It beats having to pay for multiple subsc riptions for Wordpress plugins
- If I could see a bit more modern and minimal looks of the sites aesthetic it would make it a dream come true
- Lastly, the only learning curve was some of the language is different from what I used to on wordpress, but honestly, NO BIGGIE

- I appreciate the themes function and how easy they’ve made building a website to meet my needs instead of me having to dedicate time, add apps and plugins it comes with everything my business model may need so I can get going faster

- The aesthetic is a little clunky but I may just need more time to play around with it

Directory creation made easy
It's easy to customize. I'm not an expert at building websites, so this makes things easy to get started without worrying about the plugins on wordpress.
- I like that I can create a directory without needing all the plugins like I would if I used WordPress
- Saves a lot of time
- I wish we could add multiple websites to our account without having to purchase a new plan
- Each BD plan is standalone, which means more investment for you if you want to run 2 websites or more
