A Great Microsoft Product that is Beautiful out of the Box
This is an excellent product. I've used other presentation software, including Google Present, but Powerpoint does the best, by far. Easy to use, easy to teach how to use, easy to operate. Great product.
- This product appeals to me because of the versatility
- I have used it for worship slides, to lectures, to job presentations, even to teach how to build a nice-looking online classroom
- It is easy to use and yet can do so much
- Sometimes, Microsoft deletes things that I find easier than their replacement
- For instance, some of their layouts have changed over time
- I knew in the past where to put pictures and where to put text because of the layout option
- They've changed that to be two text boxes
- Minor issue, because you can still use one or both boxes for pictures or text
- I just like the way it worked before
Switched From
The availability of Powerpoint, the loss of Presentations from the WordPerfect Office Suite, and my own institution becoming exclusively Microsoft, all contributed to the switch.

More than just Presentations
Microsoft PowerPoint is my go-to for creating digital images for web-based storefronts on a daily basis. It has all the functions I need in one place and can create high resolution png files of any size.
Powerpoint is a surprisingly versatile program with easy-to-use editing tools, capable of handling large format sizes, high resolution images and vector graphics
I would love to see updated tools for image background removal plus the option to preview CMYK color

If you know how, you can do a lot with this gem!
Overall fantastic tool with a lot of great options, but as it is Microsoft, it is not the most intuitive, and it is a shame, as some options are great (for example, with the movements) but not straightforward or easy to find. But if you know how, you can do a lot with this gem!
- The number of options available is amazing, and the fact that most people have it is also a great thing
- But it has a lot of functionality and is almost unappreciated
- It is easy to use and compatible with a lot of screens, hardly ever causing problems
- Some great options are not that easy to find, and it is a shame
- It is a bit old-fashioned and could be more intuitive
- Also, I had some problems with fonts a few times (foreign languages)
Why they chose it
"PowerPoint is easier to work with, and way more compatible with everything"

PowerPoint - Old Faith Is Still Around
I was once Microsoft Certified on all products including PowerPoint. The overall shell hasn't changed in the last 15-20 years. It is a handy 'go to' in a pinch. But I'm learning from younger professionals how they can jump into Google or other software and make some really exciting presentations in half the steps and time.
- PowerPoint continues to be a main staple for a quick pinch presentation to a small to medium sized group
- I think it's bound to stick around
- Microsoft is looking at the competitors and seeing more options for presentations
- I think PP will always be the starter for any good office setting
- It's gotten really kind of aged hasn't it
- I mean they are repackaging old features and enhancing them to stay relevant
- But realistically one could easily pull off a presentation on Google and easily share and collaberate
Why they chose it
"It was simple - it was included the overall suite our company purchased since we are PC office. I don't hate PowerPoint, but compared to its peers, it's lackluster and underwhelming in today's market."

My overall experience with Microsoft PowerPoint has been positive, as it is a highly versatile and effective tool for creating and delivering presentations. Ease of use and versatility hits different.
Microsoft PowerPoint is widely appreciated for its versatility and ease of use in creating visually appealing and effective presentations
Risk of overloading slides, Limited design freedom, Complexity for Advanced Features
Why they chose it
"owerPoint's extensive range of features, ease of use, and seamless integration into the Microsoft ecosystem make it the most versatile and reliable tool for creating high-quality presentations, whether for business, education, or personal projects."

My best choice for building presentation slides
I enjoy using Powerpoint, it is user friendly and has amazing features.
What I like most about Microsoft powerhouse is that there is availability of various effects and animation to customize presentation and offline usage capabilities
what I like least is that presentation slide exported from Microsoft Powerpoint is not very compatible with non Microsoft tools as some effects or fonts might be broken

Easy to use but limits users to use their creativity
Great software to prepare presentations that are basic and would be better for newbies
- The present mode is great and the main thing its easier to use for new users
- There arent more templates and its lacks there by a lot
- not just that, the animations are outdated as well
Switched From
Because canva got the best collection of templates and animations are top notch

A tool for professional presentations
Great, it has been my first choice source for presentations since high school.
It makes easier my job as a Professor and Clinical Psychologist whenever I need to share critical (or any) information in a creative way
It requires time to make very creative slides, but if you learn it very well it gets easier with time
Switched From
It was easier for me to understand. I have been using Microsoft PowerPoint for years.
