- Specialty-specific EMR built that is easy to use and intuitive
- Assists with proper ICD-10 coding and use of modifiers
- Additional modules for Pathology, Practice Management/Billing, Telemedicine, and MIPS reporting are available as integrated features
- A proactive and responsive company that takes provider issues and input seriously
- The system is designed around an optimal workflow
- As with any EMR, office workflows will need to be updated in order to align with the system's capabilities

Mod Med Review
I am a daily user of mod med And it is my fifth EMR that I have worked on. It is very easy to use in the ophthalmology world. It offers the features we need to provide optimum patient care as well as the billing and revenue cycle. The customer service support is phenomenal.
- It is very user-friendly, has great integration capabilities, The customer support has been top-notch
- It is a very HIPAA compliance, electronic medical record for ophthalmology patient management medical records
- There is a Monthly fee for every integration And sometimes it's by provider with a cap
- Well, the integrating software have no integration fee, MM does require one
Why they chose it
"Pricing, ease of use ease of implementation with providers and staff"

Modmed - Worst EMR
WORST EMR that I have ever used: compared to EPIC, Eye MD and All Scripts. 1) Too, Too many clicks and page changes to complete notes 2) Under codes diagnosis. 3) must manually edit billing codes since Modmed under-codes
- comprehensive pre-written discussions about diagnosis
- Workflow tab is helpful to view clinic flow
- Code tab to review charts is helpful, unless you want to review more than 1 day
- 1) Too, Too many clicks and page changes to complete notes 2) Under codes diagnosis
- 3) must manually edit billing codes since Modmed under-codes 4) Very Poor response from Modmed to make corrections

We enjoy ModMed
Overall, we really enjoy the functionality of ModMed. We like that it is web based and we seem to not have too many issues with it.
- Our practice works out of two separate EMR systems so we are able to see functionality out of both systems and compare
- We love ModMed and wish they offered Cardiology so we could switch all of our practices over to just ModMed
- We currently use it for Dermatology and Allergy & Asthma
- The practice management side is extremely user friendly
- As I work on the Administrative side, I cannot personally speak for the Clinical side but our physicians seem to think it is user friendly and are happy with their purchase
- Customer support could use some work
- It seems when we have some issues, it is extremely difficult to get someone to speak with you directly on the phone rather than by email
- This delays fixing things

Another practice recommended due to the advanced functionality compared to the other system.

Great company to work with
Great. From the first conversation from our sales rep all the way to meeting people at MOMENTUM, ModMed has been a great overall experience. I would highly recommend.
- The kindness and transparency of everyone we have been in touch with from the sales reps, project managers to all of the trainers we worked with during implementation
- Very eager to be as helpful as possible
- The inconsistency of communication when submitting support cases
- At times the communication has been great, but others
- There have been times our biller has submitted cases about billing issues and never heard back
- That’s unacceptable

ModMed purchased the Sammy EMR. We were offered a ModMed demo explaining that we could either implement EMA or self explore other options.

ModMed is more than a tool for your practice!
The staff is knowledgeable and kind. I appreciate their patience.
- My practice loves the EMR
- The system is clearly the top EMR for derm
- We have been on this software since 2014 and find its ease of use and user friendliness such a plus
- New, inexperienced staff are so intimidated but quickly learn the system
- It just makes sense
- I wish the PM were a little more mature
- There are still so many things I would like to see
- I like to trend and compare year over year but there is a two year data limitation
- You can still get data but you have to request it
- That is frustrating to me
Why they chose it
"The EMR was very powerful. It had more features when it came to dermatology needs"

Great System
It has been extremely helpful for the practice and, personally, made my job easier.
- We first puchased only the EHR portion of ModMed and was very pleased, but, as soon as they come out with the Practice Management system, it has made our entire practice so much more efficient and eliminated so many tasks that were being transferred from person to person and place to place
- We have been very pleased with the entire system in general
- It is very user friendly and promotes accuracy and accountability for everyone in the practice
- In the beginning, the transition was quite the curve ball, but, we have definitely surpassed that
- My biggest con is the reporting system I find difficult to navigate at times and as a person in the billing department, we do not like the transaction you have to use for a returned payment
- That is pretty much it

It was not geared for Dermatology; it was initially designed for Anesthesiology and Radiology

ModMed....get some
It has been a gentle learning cure with my MAs. We are at the point of knowing how to streamline our patient interactions with documentations to complete charting in a timely and accurate fashion.
- -The patient data is organized well on one screen although some quick access tweaks could be added as noted in the cons
- -Physical exam is robust but could use some additional tweaks
- -The ICD 10s with associated patient education points is robust -The algorithm for calculating E&M codes is fare
-Limited amount of saved common prescriptions -Unable to add a saved common prescription without opening an active chart -Lake of simple interface to edit save common prescriptions -Lake of quick access to add height and weight to make sending prescriptions more streamlined for pediatric patients -Frustration when adding height and weight on a pediatric patient when sending a prescription and is unable to be saved for the an additional prescription -Lake of quick access to add medication allergies -Tasks are not included in summary with patient chart encounters -Physical exam missing some key descriptions that my MA has to input manually

My prior EMR software, Allmeds, was not supported at the end of 2023 and we had to switch. In addition, we were looking forward to have an integrated EMR with practice management software as we had Allmeds and Allscripts. This makes billing more streamlined.

There is always Pros and Cons
Overall this has been a good system. I have used MedStar, Athena, Prognocis and now Modmed. I would choose Modmed again.
- It's nice to have the body in the chart and click on the part you need
- It can help with getting authorizations for our patients
- When you select add an attachment to the visit, it does not print with the visit note to send to the insurance company
- My providers would have liked to have this feature such as adding radiology to visit's to support

Use at your own risk.
The only good thing about this experience was the trainer [sensitive content hidden]. She was very helpful even though I expressed multiple times how much I hated this system.
- Nothing
- , Going from Exscribe to MOD MED is a joke
- They lied about initial pricing, I was quoted a completely different price
- I feel like I was sold on a program that is nothing like what we are using
- Not Orthopedic friendly
- My provider is older and using this system was suppose to be much easier but it is not
- We still don't have any of our files transferred over
Switched From
It was bought out by modmed, but we are not happy at all
