best mid-market option
The best solution for us at the moment in our price range. As we grow we'll begin looking for something a bit more robust at a higher price.
- This isn't the best NGO management software out there, but it is definitely the best option at it's pricing tier
- It enables overall management of the many moving parts of an NGO
- The organization manual is an amazing feature--internal documentation is something no one ever has time to do
- Reporting generation is also crucial
- Customer service really makes NewOrg stand out
- There's a few features that we feel are missing, in particular re: internal communication platform options and data import
- Other features could be improved upon, especially the report generation function and the donor module

We cannot say enough positive praise about New Org. The entire onboarding team and support team have been responsive, communicative, and incredibly collaborative through the process. From hearing our specific needs and supporting overall scoping, to determining feasibility of wishlist items and how it would impact other parts of our portal integration, the team has been true partners from start to finish. Everything we ask for has been truly vetted, tested, and provided, and the ongoing support through the quick response to their ticket support system has been efficient. We are very happy with this system and truly cannot express enough how transformative the integration of New Org has been for our organization.

This was decided prior to my start with the organization, however it sounds like Hancock was not customizable or able to provide the needed real-time reports or prioritization of application review, etc we were looking for. It also was much more expensive.

- Overall, NewOrg has worked well for us
- It has a lot of customization, the customer service is excellent, and the reporting function works well
- I think it's the best option if you don't want to spend a ton of money building a system from scratch
There are some features we wish NewOrg had, such as the ability to mass text our participants and better events functionality

NewOrg is the solution for non-profit program management

- The NewOrg platform is incredibly flexible
- We are not their "typical" client, but they were able to customize their platform to accommodate all the quirks of our non-profit's programs, including building 3 custom portals for our stakeholders; building out custom, calculated fields that help us with our reporting; creating a variety of reports to answer the questions we need to be able to manage our programs and show our impact; and created custom solutions to help our team process client applications more accurately and more quickly
- Additionally, most of those items (except the portals) were created in hours to days - not weeks to months like the other systems we have used
- When we submit tickets, they are usually resolved in less than a day, and if not possible, they let us know when it will be complete
- Implementation couldn't have been more collaborative, thought-provoking, focused, fun (yes actually fun
- ), and productive
- It was truly a joy to implement this system and that's something I've never said before
- We had a few items that we'd like to customize but can't, but none are dealbreakers
- I love the reports and dashboards, they're a huge upgrade over our prior system, but a few more customization options, summation options, and visualization updates would go a long way

The system was inflexible, we had really poor/nearly no access to our data for reporting, we had no dashboard/summation capabilities, customer service was really poor (weeks to months for any changes) and most importantly, the design of the database was flawed - clients did not have unique IDs, so each application gave the client a new ID, so we couldn't report on clients year over year.

Feature-Rich, Affordable, and Mission-Aligned
If we could do it all over again, we would pick NewOrg. It was the only platform that met our unique organizational needs and our budget. The personalized onboarding process was a surprising bonus that we didn't expect.

- The platform is easy to use, and any time we have questions, our dedicated support person is quick to respond
- We initially sought a software that made it easier to build our own customized reports
- However, it's very easy to submit a support ticket for a customized report, and the support team is very responsive

Great reliable and comprehensive solution for case management!
Everything went smoothly from initial onboarding meeting to the final call. Every interaction we had was great and positive. They stayed on our schedule and even quicker -- since we were in desperate need to get the project done. Even though we were working quickly, quality was not sacrificed!

Meets our needs well
I use NewOrg every day for grant management, and I don't know what I would do without it. I manage a lot of document attachments, and NewOrg helps me stay organized.
- NewOrg is a great way for our organization to share information across teams
- It makes finding the information we need easy and consistent
- The customer support team is responsive to our requests, and they work hard to help us develop reports and other components that make our work efficient
NewOrg is a little dated in its look, but aesthetics are a small thing in comparison to functionality
