About Nowsta

Nowsta is a cloud-based workforce management solution designed to help businesses streamline the entire employee lifecycle, from managing work requests to gaining insights into labor costs. The centralized dashboard enables managers to create shift schedules, review conflicts, or overtime issues before assigning tasks and get work request confirmation from employees in real-time. Key features of Nowsta include employee scheduling, automated attendance tracking, payroll management and labor forecasting. Employees can use a mobile time clock to punch-in on an hourly basis from their field locations and verify individual identities by attaching photos. The system automatically captures working hours, calculates wages and utilizes integration with payroll providers such as ADP or Paychex to export relevant data from within the system. Managers can rate the staff's performance after each shift and compare projected costs against actual spending to improve resource allocation. Pricing is available on a monthly and annual subscription and support is provided via email and live chat

Best Option out there!

Great interface, really good customer service! Easy to use as a manager and employee.

What they liked
  • Having a system that communicated with our catering software has been crucial
  • This allows us to keep budgeting / staffing goals in mind when creating the schedule
Room for improvement
  • I wish there was a manager portal / or team portal so that I could login and see who's clocked in, what my labor costs are for that day/period
  • That is the biggest lack of Nowsta currently

Love Nowsta

I have been using Nowsta for nearly 7 years now and I have overall truly enjoyed my time using the system. I recommend the system to all of my friends that have any scheduling needs.

What they liked

The ease with which I'm able to see staff's allocation and hours throughout the week

Room for improvement
  • The mobile version of the web version could be easier to use
  • Also I would love if there was a way to organize the staff in the weekly view by confirmed hours instead of just by name

I really do love this software compared to the excel spreadsheet we used to use for the almost 200 servers that we have. Additionally, the implementation of the Nowsta Labor Market has been huge for our team!

  • I love the ease of scheduling - I can assign people to shifts for an entire month and send their monthly schedule all at once
  • Bulk actions is my favorite feature

I wish that I could schedule people on my phone via the app - hate that I can only use a computer

Great system for staffing companies

I love it. Adp, paychex, ubeya, connect team not even close. You guys are the best in the industry

  • We cannot communicate 2 way with staff and cannot create a group chats with the team per event
  • Since we are here, also a section where you can have documents to give team
  • Onboarding, training, etc Check out connecteam, i almost get them instead of you
  • Add some of those features and you will be perfect
  • I am serious

Loved Nowsta and the bill vs pay feature. You focus on events vs Employees. That is how I need to see our jobs, not by ppl but by day and event

  • Love the event layout and the ability to move people to different events easily

  • There is no app for admin log in
  • This could help us a lot when we are editing events from our phones

We Love NOWSTA!!!

Nowsta's platform is so intuitive it has been a lifesaver for staffing our catering events. The ease of use for our team and the communication tools built into the platform save us hours of work each week.

  • The time it saves our team every week as we juggle staffing each week
  • It's especially helpful when changes happen (as we all know they do)
  • The built in communication tools are great for alerting our team to changes quickly

We also have restaurants and just haven't been able to figure out how to use if for that staffing as well

Great Staffing tool

Excellent, it is also a timesaver for scheduling when i have other operational duties

  • Quick, easy to see availability of front of house staff and schedule accordingly Love the ability to note on individual staffing when they worked shifts
  • We use it as a tool to document what a new staff member learned on shift and if they need to improve
  • Great tool overall communication from event staff to record growth or needs

Makes my scheduling and payroll so easy

Investing in Nowsta is definitely one of the best decisions I have made. It is so easy to use, transfer events from my event platform and see my staff availability as well as tracking their time and attendance.
