Easy to Use
Our experience has been great. The implementation period and building out the site was fairly simple, the training was easy to follow, and OnBoard staff ensured we were on track before we actually went live with the product. It is user friendly and the board has had a positive experience with it so far.
- It's both user and admin friendly
- Our [sensitive content hidden] members found the interface to be easy to navigate, which is very important to us
- The support team has been helpful and the training was self-paced and easy to follow
- The permissions settings are great, but as an admin you do have to be conscious that you basically have to set up permissions for everything you add to OnBoard
- It takes time to get used to this

An Upgrade
It improves our user organization and accessibility.
OnBoard has streamlined meeting creation with tools such as duplicating meetings, drag-and-drop both PDF and Word files, agenda import, and user-friendly agenda customization
- It would be better if there was a streamlined way to add past meeting books to the resources section
- That's where the meeting archive is collected after being downloaded and imported from the previous board software
- As it is, meeting history is divided in two locations
- There is also no ideal way to search through the content of past meetings

We switched from BoardPaq, which was the prior version of BoardEffect. BoardPaq had an antiquated system. We compared their upcoming software BoardEffect with OnBoard and decided that since our users and admins would already be subject to transition, we wanted to choose the best transition and long-term upgrade available.

It's just so easy!
I honestly love it. We use it for board and supervisory committee meetings. It's a great way to organize reports and get a lot of information out to multiple people. Our commercial team uses it for gathering loan documents. We use the resource section a lot to store important documents so people can easily find what they need without having to figure out which meeting it was a part of. OnBoard makes my job so much easier!
- What I like most is how easy it is to create an agenda and add documents
- And if something needs to be swapped out last minute, it's not a problem at all
- The process is so fast
- If a PDF is created from a Goolge document, OnBoard won't accept it
- Sometimes I'll put everything in the packet and click on 'Open Book' and an error pops up saying that it failed
- Then I have to remove each PDF one by one until I discover which one is the problem
- Sometimes that has been time consuming; however, my company is transitioning to only using Microsoft so it's been less of a problem lately

Board Management made incredibly easy .
Overall,OnBoard is very user friendly ,transitioning from paperboard packets to a an excellent digital format saves a lot of time and ensure efficiency in preparing for board meetings .
- The ease of use and simplicity of OnBoard is one of it's strongest features
- Its straightforward to build board meeting book and breeze teaching the board members how to use the app
- Has an extremely helpful customer support who are also eager to assist
- Has other excellent features like document attachment ,agenda building ,surveys and resources
- Allow upload and storage of document for the board to refer back to and have them complete actions without holding a meeting
I have nothing to complain about this product ,with recent upgrades everything has been made easier and effective

Our experience has been really good. Members find it easy to use. Admins like the variety of tools. The Helpdesk is responsive. The product keeps evolving to meet our needs.

OnBoard is a great tool
I really like the "Home" page and the flexibility I have to add or delete content for our Board, it's almost like our own website. The agendas are professional looking, the RSVP options is very helpful and easy and I like the messaging capabilities inside OnBoard.
- What I love most about OnBoard is how user-friendly it is
- Whenever I have a question, I can easily find the answer either through the help section or a quick internet search
- This is especially helpful when I’m on a tight deadline and need to send out an agenda
- The help section provides both video tutorials and written instructions, which makes it super convenient for me to find solutions quickly
- There have only been a few things I would like to change (not huge in any way)
- I like the fact that I can put in a request to the engineers with my suggestions

A great collaborative space
It provides a collaborative space with which users can engage as their time allows. With near 40 users, finding time to meet together, even in smaller groups, is tough. OnBoard allows those users to work when and how they need, while maintaining their busy schedules.
- OnBoard has been a great resource for our board
- It has been a slow uptake by some, but they are using it more now than ever before
- The collaborative functions have been very helpful as we grow our international teams and develop deeper risk management
- Limited file types can be uploaded for storage

OnBoard - a must have for meeting packets!
My overall experience with OnBoard has been positive.
Using OnBoard for a variety of internal and external stakeholder meetings has made meeting setups a breeze
No real cons, per say, but it would be great if there was a way to save items from a meeting to resources using a checkbox
