About Raklet

Raklet is a cloud-based club and event management solution that provides an integrated workflow for maintaining a contact database, collecting payments, organizing events and automating email and SMS communication. Raklet enhances member management by offering customer relationship management (CRM) for record-keeping and encourages community engagement with private social networks and smart forms for gathering member information. A dashboard provides a timeline of recent community activity and an at-a-glance view of organizational performance. Data stored with Raklet is secure and kept private and support is available at any time by email or phone. Membership fees, donations or ticket sales can be collected through the platform, and communications can be improved through rich email messages. Raklet operates on a tiered pricing model, offering a free plan for organizations with fewer than 1000 contacts and additional price points designed for small to midsize businesses. Raklet also collects transaction fees for payments received through the platform. It features Android, Windows Phone and iOS mobile apps.

A Small Non Profit, Profiting from Raklet

We're a small non-profit that was trying to eliminate disparate systems; Membership was under both Membership and Accounting, email came from an officer's AOL account, using 3 lists so as to avoid being labeled spam. We wanted to avoid the complexity of a larger AMS, which would have had 70% functionality we never would have utilized. Raklet is the right size, definitely the right price, and we got >90% of the functionality we needed.

What they liked

Value for investment, Membership functionality, reporting that gets improved regularly, and an AMS that's open to suggested functionality and report improvements

Room for improvement
  • API usage only available on top tier
  • Time zone difference usually means next day support which isn't the end of the world

Amazing tool for association management

It makes our life really easy. We've been reaching out to support team whenever we need a specific feature and it gets added to product roadmap. It gets implemented at their pace and if it's something urgent, we can get it built for our organization with custom development. So far so good.

What they liked
  • Setup your membership plans, collect new ones online and the system will take care of renewals and follow ups for you
  • You can use their newsletter functionality to send newsletters
  • Another great feature is their event management check-in
  • We can sell tickets online and at the door
  • We can easily check-in guests and follow up after the event accordingly

Glad We Canceled

As I mentioned above, this was not a good experience. I would never recommend Raklet to other associations looking.

What they liked
  • Creating an event is simple
  • I don't have anything beyond that
Room for improvement
  • We've had Raklet for a few years and the primary reason we joined is to help us monitor membership data
  • This tool is far from helpful
  • Membership information wasn't accurate
  • Members could join without submitting a payment method so we would need to take extra time to follow up
  • Members who needed to renew would sometimes get reminder emails and some would not
  • Some would get reminders when no balance due
  • It caused a lot of frustration from our members resulting in a lot of extra time on our end
  • The member experience caused a poor reflection on us
  • The text messaging system is worthless
  • I would pay to be able to do this and they would never reach our members
  • Additionally, the customer support is horrible
  • Members of my team would reach out and never hear back
  • It wasn't until I said we were canceling our account that we received regular responses
  • It was a bad experience and we've since found a better solution

Great experience with Raklet!

Support has been extremely responsive and helpful, the robust platform capabilities at the fair price made it affordable for a non-profit while also giving members more value

The number of robust capabilities and features for how quickly and easy it was to set up, giving our members a place to actually find and see value in our organization

Room for improvement
  • The UI seems slightly outdated as it relates to the look, feel, and flow of the platform
  • I think the graphic design could be upgraded, and the platform could add more integrations

Because it didn't not have near as many features yet ended up being far more affordable. That platform could not search by custom fields which was the catalyst to the switch

An undiscovered gem of a social platform with big potential!

I'm super happy with the features, tools, integration options, and the amazing user support of Raklet!

What they liked
  • Finding Raklet was a joy because it offers all of the essential tools and features that are essential for community-building
  • It's not just another platform that throws random features at users, the moment I explored what the Raklet platform had to offer I got the feeling that it was made by people who genuinely put a lot of effort into understanding the requirements and experience of building a community online
  • The bonus is that they have a super great user support and customer service who thinks ahead about the needs of people on the platform
  • I highly recommend Raklet for anyone looking for a home for their community
Room for improvement
  • Honestly, there's nothing negative at all that I can think of about Raklet
  • But don't take my word for it, try it yourself and discover a different kind of tech company that has an actual human touch

Facebook provides very little control over the content and moderation of communities because most of the work on their end is done by AI that leaves even group admins at the mercy of what their AI understands.

Highly rated software for small non-profits

I was asked to test out their software to see if it would be useful to a previous organization, and while I found it to be amazingly useful, the organization went another direction.

  • it was extremely easy to use
  • I learned it in a few minutes and wished the organization I was testing for would have implemented it

Its not as well known as other software options, I wish they were more out there and better known

Great CRM for Start Ups!

Sophisticated feel, better than most community sites

I think raklet is a great service. It has more value than other community sites. I would love if you advertise it more. But it does feel like it is for more sophisticated markets like corporates and not social environments. In total, I see raklet as a B2B community service and I like it.

  • The structure of the community and the features give raklet a sophisticated look than popular community sites
  • I also liked the access structure of the content which made it effective to my membership plans

  • Hmm, I can't think of one
  • I would have liked a better setup of the colours of text and headers
  • It is a bit complex and I had to get support to help me do it

Worth a Shot

The team has been super supportive and responsive to all the tickets i' ve submitted. The onboarding process has been helpful to gain understanding of the platform.

  • I enjoy the user interface and how all my software needs are centralized
  • Having admin permission is a major plus

  • While the user interface is friendly, it could be less congested
  • I would love to see recurring event added to the functionality
