Highly Effective, Well-Priced Platform with Excellent Support and Room for UX Improvements
ShiftCare has streamlined our business operations, reducing admin time and errors significantly. The customer support is excellent, and the frequent updates ensure the platform continues to improve. While some UX and mobile features could use refinement, the overall experience has been positive, and I’d recommend it to others in the support industry.

- Managing recurring shifts could be smoother, as it currently requires excessive clicking through the month picker
- There are also inconsistencies, such as the inability to bulk-edit kilometre pricing and the poor handling of split shifts, which don’t reflect correctly in the carer app or timesheets
- Additionally, minor but noticeable issues—like formatting errors with Xero integration, the lack of automatic syncing with Xero for staff details, and small bugs in the mobile app—make ShiftCare feel less polished than it could be
- Improving these areas would make a big difference in daily usage

NDIS Providers need Shiftcare!
overall, we could not operate without Shiftcare, so very useful. Our rosters are a live and moving document, and Shiftcare can be operated in real time.
- The rostering, billing and staff management are all very good
- When you first start out you think you only need the bare minimum of features, however, you quickly realise you need to much more of what is available
- some different levels of purchased use
- Most businesses would need to be able to roster and bill for NDIS and have staff management
- Anything to do with those things should be available for two top teers of purchase
- Maybe SIL etc should be in the top level purchase

Big mistake in choosing Shiftcare
Extremely disappointing. I run a home care agency and was looking for reliable scheduling and client management software. ShiftCare sold a vision they couldn’t deliver. The product is unstable, support is unreliable, and the company’s integrity is questionable. I would strongly caution other agencies to look elsewhere.
- The only positive was that the sales team seemed eager to help—at least before I paid the deposit
- I heard from sales constantly leading up to contract signature

- ShiftCare completely overpromised and underdelivered
- The onboarding was confusing and poorly supported
- They misrepresented having a working public API, and once I raised concerns, their communication dropped off
- They even called my personal cell multiple times for payment before onboarding, but once issues appeared, they vanished

I wanted more current technology and a better UX. I have gone right back to Wellsky though. Its so much better than Shiftcare. I never should have switched.

Use anyone other than Shiftcare
I wish I had never met this company. Truly the worst business decision of my life. Stay away. You have been warned.
The UI is pretty good for a home health agency scheduling software and the price was attractive to me

- But my biggest issue is they over promise in the sales process and tell you they can do everything you want and then when you go live, it’s a complete utter disaster

Good but needs some work
For an expensive product you’d expect more. Dedicated Management App/Client App/Staff App a must!! Then improving the design and correcting all the glitches would go a long way too!!
- Has a lot of scheduling options
- Still a bit clunky there are a lot of features inside which could be tweaked which would improve the experience
- Also the layout is a little old school
- Not as modern as most tech platforms
- NO APP FOR MANAGEMENT
- There needs to be a dedicated App for IPhone that allows for simple rescheduling and booking of staff and managing of the business
- The App is just focused at a staff level
- And there is also no proper communication channel and viewer for clients to see
- A strong focus should go towards such as you can tell it’s just a “patch job” that’s been included to make it seem like it has the function
- So you really need to design an App for staff, an app for clients and an App for management
- Whether it’s seperate apps or within the same, it needs to specific designs around those 3 elements

Great system for scheduling and invoicing
A reliable system to manage staff and scheduling for NDIS providers. The customer service is excellent.
- I like that it is not just a timesheet software but also a billing software and record keeping for workers and clients
- Customer service on the chat function and availability of people on there is fantastic
- Integration doesn't work as well as it could - it often drops things off
- I still have to download and upload files to ensure integrity
- Also, it's got very expensive for small to medium sized businesses

Highly recommended
We've used shiftcare for close to 7 years and we have seen how far the improvements have come. Love the prompt support and the continues improvements.

Dont bother with it, its expensive for what it is.
I hate it, im sick of the videos just write the dam instructions down and ill work it out. Im sick of asking for help on the system and trying to steamline a process for it when they keep updating the thing. I get passed around to get answers then when things are set up... another bloody problem, i have to double check and handle it all because of it.
- Able to have staff manage their documentation as well as review it
The bloody cost of it, per user when it should just be purchase the software and cya

Pretty good. The staff are very helpful, the seminars are useful and the help files are easy to access. Thank you!

Best care in good time.
I enjoyed working with ShiftCare and being able to assign caregivers to clients and schedule appointments for care with ease.
- ShiftCare made it easy to schedule appointments and pair a caregiver easily
- We are able to communicate for last minute coverage too and that makes all the difference when getting our clients the care they need
Not to say I liked anything least but there are things to learn still as we navigate through all the functions of the software
