A remarkable software for render

The product supports a lot of different 3D modeling softwares.

What they liked

It is the best option to start digging into the 3D and hyper realistic rendering world

Room for improvement
  • Among render softwares, this in particular, could add more features to improve

V-Ray is great for producing high-quality photorealistic renderings, but you need days

I was using Vray for years, but it is very hard for me to stay an user today, when other engines are faster and with better pricing and libraries.

What they liked

V-Ray is compatible with various 3D modeling and animation software, including 3ds Max, SketchUp, Rhino, etc

Room for improvement
  • It takes so much hours to render, it is slower then other engines on market

V-Ray Review

I would say overall, I was always very pleased with the end result. Thought it might have taken more time to produce a image, it was well worth the trade off. Now that there are so many other engines out there, V-Ray needs to look towards getting more end users by adopting a business model like D5 or Unreal Engine.

What they liked
  • The quality of the final rendering was second to none
  • however, when I used this program more frequently, the time it would take to generate one image was exponentially greater than other rendering software out there
  • there are reasons for this like ray tracing, which does attribute to a higher quality image
Room for improvement
  • The cost associated with this was much higher than other software out there
  • Also the learning curve was greater than some of the other more intuitive software I've used

V-ray for professional results

A good experience overall, it is quite professional software and achieves really incredible results

What they liked
  • Its precise quality allows you to configure very detailed parameters with which you can control any scene
  • But it also has default parameters that work very well for good results
Room for improvement
  • Probably its interface is not very friendly

Why you shouldn't buy V-ray

Overall it took a little time to get used to it but the end result was worth the effort.

What they liked
  • It is one of the best software for rendering
  • You can controll even the most minute details through it
  • Features like batch rendering helps saves the time
  • Has a decent material library
Room for improvement
  • It is difficult to learn
  • And you might get overwhelmed with so many options when you first see the interface

I needed a upgrade in quality.

A must-have for realistic 3D renderings

With vray, I have the ability to create realistic renderings for clients all over the world. The quality and value that vray gives my renderings is unmatched.

What they liked
  • By far, the most impactful feature of V-Ray is ability to render in real-time as well as adjust any lighting, denoiser, etc
  • as the image in in process of rendering
  • This ability has saved me an exponential amount of hours testing and perfecting lighting
Room for improvement
  • Vray can be tough to understand
  • I've watched countless tutorials over the last several years to understand how each feature affects the outcome
  • I have a recipe that works for what I need, but always learning and improving

Vray is really good, but the competition is better

Entertainment

What they liked

The pros for V-Ray are amazing finish render and easy to understand after a little practice

Room for improvement

The wors for V-ray are not having a preview like the competition and practically remain without significant changes over the years

V Ray Review

Architecture & Planning

What they liked
  • V Ray's renders, especially the night time renders are very realistic
Room for improvement
  • The renders however take ample time
  • Although the results are worth the wait, it would be great to have reduced time
