About Visual Planning

Visual Planning is a powerful, customizable platform designed to help businesses plan, schedule, and manage resources efficiently across teams, projects, and industries. From construction and manufacturing to field services, clinical trials, and office-based project teams, Visual Planning adapts to your workflows rather than forcing you to adapt to the software. With an intuitive drag-and-drop interface, you can schedule employees, subcontractors, equipment, and materials in real time. Visual Planning supports multiple views — including Gantt charts, Kanban boards, calendars, and maps — allowing managers to choose the most effective way to visualize their operations. Key Capabilities: Centralized Scheduling: Manage all tasks, events, and resources from one platform, reducing scheduling conflicts and double bookings. Real-Time Updates: Changes are instantly visible to all stakeholders, whether they are in the office or on-site, ensuring teams remain aligned. Mobile & Field-Ready: The VPGo mobile app enables field workers to update job progress, submit photos, and report issues — even offline. Advanced Resource Management: Filter resources by skills, availability, certification...

"Visual Planning" Leverages Graphics to Enhance Planning

We use it mainly during the conceptualization part of a project. It makes it easy to ballpark whether or not we have the project is feasible given the resources available.

What they liked
  • It offers numerous ways to visualize plans
  • Graphics make obvious aspects of a plan which could otherwise be lost if only numbers are presented
  • It's dashboard is easily customized to suit our plans
Room for improvement
  • Can't add videos
  • Some aspects of the user interface aren't very intuitive
  • There can be a steep learning curve for getting started on a plan

Good - But need speed

It is good, since all the projects are in single place. Hence, every one at any point of time can access.

What they liked
  • The sequence of options to ensure project is following all/ proper steps to complete
  • Data storage at one place
Room for improvement
  • It is always operating very slow
  • Project Leaders are taking that as a opportunity for not to update their project status

Visual Planning provided us the real control over cross-team workflows.

It put us in the know regarding capacity by department. We minimized lead time by getting the creative and finance teams on the same page in terms of deadlines and what was expected.

What they liked
  • We were able to set up custom workflows following our internal review loops
  • Our leadership uses the visual dashboards and Gantt charts to identify bottlenecks before they become a problem
Room for improvement
  • The learning curve is deeper than anticipated and needed the IT department to install the software initially
  • Less than ideal for teams looking for an out-of-the-box answer

A better way to schedule resources for a large team.

It has led to less sticking around between production and shipping and less bottlenecking. If anything, it has helped preserve quality and keep production moving in a timely manner, without undue stops.

What they liked
  • Production Scheduling and Planning Visual Planning is an extremely clear overview of production schedule, resources and team assignment
  • I enjoy how I can monitor who’s taking care of what in the process, which is also helpful with making sure that quality checks are being done in a timely manner
Room for improvement
  • All the features aren’t easy to use and you have to train a little on that
  • Initially, establishing the dashboards and reports for our apparel workflows seemed daunting, particularly due to the size of our team

What they liked
  • Easy setup and provide businesses a multiple functionality like HR,CRM, Day to day management
  • Real time graphs and report
Room for improvement
  • No free version available…
  • You can only get free trial… Not affordable for small and tiny local businesses

Best for scheduling toolset.

It’s made project management much more efficient for me, providing me with a concise visual overview of tasks and resources, saving me hours of planning per week.

What they liked

Visual Planning is really well tailored to my needs, I mean, I can use it in a way that makes sense for me, the scheduling interface is easily customizable so I take all the things I want to track, the things I want to follow and it fits with what I want to achieve

Room for improvement

I think the learning curve is a little steep, especially because some of the advanced features aren’t as intuitive to me as I’d like them to be, meaning I had to spend more time mastering it

Room for improvement
  • It can be time consuming due to excess number of features
  • It can be a bit exhausting
  • It's a software which demonstrates an array of extensive visual data concepts to make working easier and better effective

Good Planner Software

Users typically find that visualizing plans, whether through diagrams, charts, or visual project management tools, significantly improves their understanding of the project scope, tasks, dependencies, and timelines. This clarity can reduce confusion and miscommunication.

What they liked
  • Visuals like charts, diagrams, and mind maps can often convey complex information more quickly and clearly than text alone
  • This can lead to better understanding among team members and stakeholders
Room for improvement
  • The effectiveness of visual plans relies on the visual literacy of the audience
  • If team members or stakeholders are not comfortable interpreting certain types of visuals, it can hinder understanding and communication
