About ZenMaid

ZenMaid is a cloud-based residential cleaning service scheduling solution designed for maid service owners. The solution offers a platform for users to schedule customer appointments and automate their day-to-day operations. ZenMaid sends work orders to cleaners/maids in the field and sends reminders to customers for upcoming cleanings. Additionally, ZenMaid automatically sends follow-ups after appointments to garner feedback and referrals and offers reporting capabilities to the users. At an application level, ZenMaid features contact management, billing/invoicing, scheduling and dispatch and work order management. It’s priced on a three-tiered subscription based on the number of cleaning employees. ZenMaid also integrates with Quickbooks so that owners/operators can export payroll and other financial data helping avoid re-entry of data. ZenMaid offers support via email, phone, product tutorials and online FAQs.

Zen Maid Cleaning Business Software Review

I have had a mostly positive experience with Zen Maid. No one can achieve perfection, but I'd say this company cares about the needs and desires of its clients overall. I would recommend them to anyone looking to start or improve a cleaning business.

What they liked
  • This software is the best on the market for residential cleaning services
  • They are very interactive and listen to their clients
  • They take customer ideas and implement them to enhance the software's capabilities
  • I have searched around and found that nothing else offers what they do
  • The cleaners love the GPS function, and that is what truly put us over the edge when looking for software for my business
  • They have also consistently added value by adding new features that make managing the day-to-day operations a little easier

  • Delays in sending invoices

Zenmaid keeps our business running smoothly!

We have used Zenmaid for many years and will continue to be a loyal consumer as long as the price meets the benefits. Current zenmaid allows us to streamline a lot of our back office and provides great value to our busines.

What they liked
  • The ease of scheduling is very beneficial
  • User friendly, saves time entering new clients and provides a client database that captures information from size of home, type of clean, and frequency
  • You are able to add notes in the app that your cleaners have to read before the assignment
  • I am able to add if the client was a referal, came from our website, called our office or emailed so it is easy to track where our business is coming from
  • The automated reminders to clients are a huge plus
  • Saves us from having cancelations and clients that forgot they were on the schedule
Room for improvement
  • Adding notes in the app have to be translated before entering which costs us time and money
  • If the cleaner has their app downloaded in their native language then the notes should automatically translate

Life Changing

When I started my residential cleaning company, we were completely on paper. I started searching for a scheduling software. I had tried several and was unhappy with each of them. Then I found ZenMaid. Not only did they import all of my customers (saving me many many hours), they also put my schedule together and set up my booking page! This software has freed up so much of my time, so that I am no longer spending hours a day working my business. On top of all of that, they have the best customer service that I have ever come across. Thank you ZenMaid for changing my business and giving me my life back!

Zenmaid is good but could use improvements

I tried It for a few months based on someone else recommending it but decided to switch to Jobber for its features

What they liked

I liked how colorful the scheduling software is and the ability to color coordinate cleaners based on individual needs

Room for improvement

I did not think it was simple to learn how to schedule clients and also did not like how the calendar looked overall

We highly recommend ZenMaid!

I love how ZenMaid offers automated text reminders to not only customers for their upcoming appointments but also the technician that’s scheduled. It’s also very handy to have a customized checklist for each appointment in the app. The customer service team at ZenMaid is always professional and most helpful!

Our most important software for our cleaning service

It's a very good system, not as much of a learning curve compared to booking koala - which I spent an entire weekend learning, before deciding to stick with zenmaid. Zenmaid is Much easier to figure out. Nothing worse than training a new admin person up to use an extremely complex software. I'd love to see an AI assistant to give suggestions on scheduling, taking into account client location, cleaners location, the length of the clean, fitting into the cleaners availability etc. Scheduling can be a logistical nightmare, so having AI assistance would be awesome. I see they have a maps view now, so I'll try to learn how to use it, that will probably help.

  • Sometimes there are glitches
  • But there are glitches in every single software we use occasionally so it's kind of unavoidable

Great software made for cleaning companies

I’ve tried looking into a few other software options, but so far ZenMaid fits my business the best in terms of features and price. It has everything I really need to manage my cleaning service smoothly, and it’s easy to use. Overall, it’s been a great experience and definitely worth it.

What they liked
  • I love that ZenMaid is made just for cleaning businesses
  • It’s not some general software you have to adjust to your needs — it’s already built to fit how we actually work
  • Everything’s in one place: clients, schedules, reminders, messages…
Room for improvement
  • Some features, like invoicing and tracking hours for employees, aren’t fully compatible with our local accounting rules, so I can’t really use that part of the system
  • It’s a great idea and very well designed, it just doesn’t fit perfectly with how our bookkeeping works here, which makes it harder for me to integrate into my business

I have used Zenmaid for many years, and my overall experience has been really good and easy to teach to my team members.

  • As with any new program, there is a learning curve to be navigated
  • I reached out to the team as I had questions when I first began with this APP, and the answers were very helpful and timely
  • They are there to help along the way
  • Another thing is that these builders know the business and are always looking for ways to improve, as well as considering suggestions from users
  • The calendar is wonderful and clear to help run my team and clients

  • Nothing that cannot be navigated easily
  • When the team updates with new items, it may take me a minute or two, but it is easy to figure out

Customer support is very good. Every time I need help. They are very understanding and very professional.
