Aha! is an excellent product management system

A very user-friendly and straightforward interface. It's fantastic that a single platform can be used to oversee everything from product to service management to strategic planning to operational reporting.

What they liked
  • A fantastic tool for project managers to use as a roadmap organizer
  • The ideas are fantastic, and the integration with Jira at the tactical level of engineering is functioning smoothly
  • Additional sophisticated features, such as various business modules, aid in the strategic direction of PM
Room for improvement

It's odd that there aren't any external roadmap samples or case studies available from the makers of one of the greatest roadmap products in the world to aid with the design of your personal external roadmap

When our product teams work together across departments and incorporate DevOps, we see great success. Goal-setting, feature-mapping, PI planning, and synchronization with DevOps comprise high-level product management.

Aha! sets the bar for Product Team tools

In all my Product roles, Aha! had fit nicely to fill our needs for a software solution that facilitates the traditional software development lifecycle.

  • The multitude of different products in their offering provide a complete suite of capabilities that Product Teams can use for product planning, documentation, creating roadmaps, gathering feedback from customers, and much more

  • I've been using Aha
  • in several different companies, and the overall UI/UX could be improved
  • It comes off as a bit stale, particularly as it relates to roadmaps, which are the most critical stakeholder-facing experiences
  • Also, with so many customization options, that can introduce complexity and sometimes an awkward experience for new and seasoned users

  • We've been using Aha for several years now, and I am constantly amazed at their customer service response
  • Twice in the last two weeks they have pulled through for me when I was in a bind, and it meant a lot to be able to deliver on the needs of my business colleagues
  • * They were able to recover some data that had been lost with a misconfigured integration, and it helped my users save face with their customer
  • * The team added a datapoint to a report so I could use it as a key on another report, and they did this in just TWO DAYS

Occasionally, I have issues with slow performance, for example, selecting a report or choosing an option on the screen where there is a lot of data

Aha roadmaps

The service Aha has offered us throughout the evaluation period, POC and implementation has been excellent. Their support and knowledge has made this a successful and pleasant experience

Room for improvement

The product plans/GTM could be much better, sadly it wasn't mature enough for us to adopt but this would really compliment the solution if this could be addressed

Aha! A great Product Tool

Overall, ive used it in multiple different companies, and at different levels. It's a strong system which just works out of the box, the add ons can be frustrating as a lot of the functionality as part of workflow is additional.

  • Really easy to get to grips with, with a lot of customisable elements
  • The idea link up is a great feature

There can be a learning curve, and the way in which you manage your portfolio, or view it, may need to change to fit into their model

Powerful and flexible (tread with care)

For all it's flaws, I love this product. It lets me do what I want, how I want (and I can be quite demanding).

What they liked
  • The best thing about this product is the huge flexibility resulting from the degree of customisation that is available
  • This is dangerous if mishandled, obviously, but in a company where processes are evolving, it has allowed me to accommodate all manner of requests and requirements
Room for improvement
  • The UI can be a little inconsistent
  • Many features are paywalled; I'm constantly being upsold as if I'm on a freemium version
  • Some of the tools are a little unloved (text editing is clunky and unreliable, some presentation tools lack flexibility)
  • And navigation isn't the smoothest

Never going back to Jira

Fantastic overall. So impressed with the product, as well as the service. Would definitely recommend.

What they liked
  • Very powerful software, and almost no learning curve compared to Jira
  • So much more intuitive despite having a ton of advanced capabilities
  • I especially love how easy it is to share information with non-users, without having to manually update spreadsheets or slide decks
Room for improvement

The Roadmaps pricing is a bit steep, but the Develop pricing is affordable enough that it makes up for it

Tired of Jira's illogical UX and unnecessary complexity.

  • The customer support is quick to respond and really helpful
  • Even if I'm asking for a feature that doesn't exist yet, there's usually an idea that addresses my inquiry that support will provide
  • They will also ask for my end goal if it's unclear
  • This allows them to fully understand my need and provide any available workarounds
  • Their answers also usually include screenshots of steps that I need to take in order to accomplish my ask
  • Providing instructions in this way allows me to quickly execute their suggested path forward
Room for improvement

There are features that are missing or that do exist, but we're just finding out about a few months after go-live that seem like they should have been mentioned during implementation
