Onboarding was white gloved by an advanced team that cared greatly and had much experience. Every time I reach out for a minor or major support need , I always come away with a warm feeling. I've read an interesting guide relative to how we think guests should rate their experience : "5 stars = had a wonderful stay and made great memories and would recommend. Nothing is perfect". 1 star = property manager should be in jail". I give Avantio 5 stars.
- ~Exemplary customer service - instant chat and regular updates on cases - always delivered with sincere care
- ~The price point relative to the US commission model < bleh
- Seriously - go see for yourself
- ~ Although Avantio one year ago sold to a conglomerate from Ireland, no dear staff has departed in fact more great talent has joined
- I feel strongly that further strong improvements will push through
- There are EU > US voids in some channel connections, POS and user and end user interfacing
- Some are minor, others are not
- I've done a great deal of pressing on this - and seen results
- Would behoove org to have an American consulted on engineering and marketing team
- Example 1: "cabin" was mapped to "chalet" on OTA - and no easy fix
- Ex 2: contact database and POS field said "region" and not "state" < no bother to us, but it sure confused a great many of our guests at checkout
- This is now fixed
- Ex 3: "Dear sir or madam" in automated guest emails
- Not a phrase used in ordinary American English
- Fixed
- But there are more areas that need oversight for seamless ordinary American workflow
- I'll end this subject by reiterating that they care to get this right and are methodically making updates
- Wasn't a deal breaker before I started with Avantio one year and and it's only improved

Overall we love Avantio
Overall, we have been happy with the switch from our previous VRMS. Avantio connects to the channels and is accurate. We also love how they now have a team that can help us that is closer to the US and near our time zone.
- We love how easy it is to use Avantio and we can check the calendar from our phones if we need to
- Being able to keep track of owner expenses and send statements each month helps keep us on track and saves us time
- I think the least favorite thing for us is that since the company is based in Spain, they use terminology that we wouldn't use here in the US
- For instance on our website when booking a reservation it states "open air parking" and that is not a term anyone would say here in the US

LiveRez was not syncing properly to the channels and costing us a lot of money. We lost out on reservations due to their software and eventually cost us a client.

Good PMS functionalities, but accounting requires external solutions
I am a holiday rentals mediator in Gran Canaria, with over ten years of experience in the sector and the direct management of around 35 properties. After evaluating different options, I decided to contract Avantio with the goal of improving transparency for my property owners and automating accounting and settlement processes. The onboarding process took a few weeks, with progressive phases of reservation import, portal connections and website activation, which I understand as a normal part of implementation. However, the main issue has been accounting and settlements management: The system’s logic does not allow me to generate correct calculations for my owners. Avantio’s own team confirmed to me that, for companies with a medium volume of properties, the recommended approach is to manage the accounting part with an external software or with a dedicated person working the data from an Excel file. This was not what I was looking for when investing over €2,000 in activations, as my expectation was to have a complete system that would precisely avoid this manual workload. In summary, while the platform offers many functionalities, in the area of accounting and settlements it is not suitable for a company of my size. I am currently in the process of negotiating an amicable exit with the company. As a note to my colleagues in the sector: for what Avantio really offers and is useful for, there are much more cost-effective solutions in the market that can cover the same needs without this level of investment.
- The platform is quite complete in terms of functionalities: channel manager, booking engine, website integration and owner area
- The onboarding team was attentive and responsive during the implementation, and the system offers many features that can be useful for small operators
- The main limitation is the accounting and settlement logic, which cannot be adapted to my needs
- For a medium-sized company managing 35 properties, the system does not provide correct owner statements and requires manual work with Excel or external software
- This defeats the purpose of having an all-in-one solution
- Considering the high activation costs, I expected a more complete product

Fantastic software with a super team that give excellent support and ongoing improvements.
We are with Avantio now for the start of our second season and most elements are better than we expected and the platform has exceeded our expectations.
- The software is fully comprehensive and easy to train on and use
- The channel manager works well as does the website booking system
- The database and automatic payments system work very well
- The reporting is user friendly and easy to interrogate
- The system of automatic e-mails works well and is very intuitive and in our case, we use 6 languages
Sometimes ticketing to the website team can get a little convoluted and their response is slow

Avantio is very professional as a team, walking with us from start-up to day-to-day business needs.
- We have previously worked with other Integration Companies with our Short Term Rental Business and Avantio far exceeds those companies with their set-up program, customer service, and availability
- And, we are paying less than the other companies which left us frustrated and looking unprofessional
- When we have any questions, they are quick to respond and are available via Zoom when needed
- We are in the best of hands which allows us to run our business and focus on our job while they do theirs
The accounting end could use some improvements and they are working with us to make those happen as quickly as possible

Easy to manage booking calendar
So far we have had a positive experience with Avantio. Their customer service response time is reasonable and helpful.
Avantio has made managing several properties across multiple channels easier to manage all under one centralized calendar
Not all booking details sync across all portals but Avantio is willing to work on addressing the issues in future updates
