Hostaway has been an absolutely incredible partner for our business. While the initial learning curve was bumpy—which is expected when migrating to or starting with any sophisticated property management system (PMS)—the commitment of their team made all the difference. We are extremely happy with the platform's capabilities and, most importantly, with the human support behind it. Value for Money: The platform’s ability to centralize booking management, sync calendars, and automate payments has proven to be an essential investment. It quickly pays for itself in efficiency and reduced manual workload. Ease of Use & Booking Management: Once our team moved past the initial setup phase, managing reservations, updating rates, and communicating with guests became seamless. The calendar synchronization is reliable and handles our inventory flawlessly across all channels. Payment and Reservation Management: The system offers powerful financial tools. While configuring complex owner statements can be challenging, the dedicated support makes navigating these essential financial tasks manageable. In conclusion, despite the initial learning curve and a few system quirks, the quality of the support team—especially the 24/7 availability and the expert financial guidance—makes Hostaway an indispensable five-star tool for our vacation rental operations.

Best PM Software around!
Generally good, and calling Host Services is great, someone actually answers and helps! Hostaway provides the services we need in one place. Tutorials are pretty good so I can usually fix or learn things on my own.
- Company continues to update and make improvements with user interface and integrations
- App continues to improve as well
- Oddly there are some restrictions with permissions, even with highest level access
- Example: we set up a new listing as pet friendly, then after publishing the property owner didn't want to allow pets
- We removed all the pet settings, but the "pets allowed" kept pulling into the booking engine
- Also don't like that automated message templates do not allow you to edit the Event trigger
- The message has to be created in a new template
- Would love to have a Host Service agent assigned to our account like we had in the past
- When we put in a help ticket, our case gets bounced around to someone new every few hours
- We likely the dedicated service agent but perhaps we don't have one since our account is less than 30 properties
- When setting up new listings, Hostaway allows for a lot of information to be included
- It's a lot of work and worth it except that much of the data we input doesn't sync to the OTA's
- It's twice the work and a lot of extra time when we still have to manually enter the information directly into our other accounts

"Price compared to Streamline, and Hostfully seemed lacking in features. They both offer one jumping off price but then there are too many add-ons. Hostaway does it too, but the prices are better but still high."

Excellent knowledge and very helpful
Positive. I like the fact that I can call and get support usually in the same day.

- It is a little expensive and there have been a few growing pains with the constant upgrading and changing of the software
- Financials were a challenge for me as a I am not an accountant/bookkeeper
- The email replies to issues are often not helpful or successful
- Usually need to schedule or make a phone call or the issue remains unsolved for weeks in waiting for replies, etc

Good potential, but complex to set up for Spain-based hosts
Hostaway is a modern platform with a professional interface and strong connections to the major OTAs. The onboarding support, especially with [sensitive content hidden] , has been very good. However, as a Spain-based property manager, I’ve found some areas challenging — particularly around invoicing, owner statements, and compliance with local regulations such as IGIC and SES Hospedajes. Setting up the financial formulas has been more complex than expected, and I sometimes feel that automated replies from support don’t fully address these specific needs. Overall, I believe Hostaway has strong potential and works well for companies with simpler models or in markets with fewer compliance obligations. In my case, I still hope that with further guidance and development, the system can align better with my business model.

I switched because Icnea’s booking engine relied on an iframe integration, which is not SEO-friendly and doesn’t allow proper Google indexation. I was also looking for a platform with more flexibility, modern features, and better website integration, as well as broader channel management capabilities.
