I finally found the software I've been looking for!

Blue Folder is an excellent company that is dedicated to providing software that meets your specific needs. They are attentive and supportive throughout the process. The software is user-friendly and easy to navigate. It allows for easy addition of special fields, tracking of work orders, and generation of reports. I truly believe that the software setup couldn't be any easier. A big thank you to the team at Blue Folder! Matt and Paulina, thank you for your patience with navigating my request.

  • The Blue Folder Team, consisting of Matt and Paulina, listened and worked hard to provide me with everything I needed to make my HVAC service calls software great
  • I had tried multiple companies, but each one was lacking in some area
  • Whenever I asked for help, they would say it was a special request and would increase our monthly cost
  • However, Blue Folder never hesitated to make it work and fulfilled my requests without any additional charges
  • They are truly awesome
Room for improvement
  • The only thing lacking is the Map function

ComputerEase was very expensive, and their customer service was horrible. If you need any training after the purchase date or require special customization, be prepared to write a large check. Getting help was like pulling teeth!

"We are a commercial HVAC company, and we needed assistance with a special request that none of the other companies could fulfill during the trial. I informed Matt about a certain feature that I didn't like, and he promptly made the necessary changes to accommodate our needs. Matt dedicated time to work with me during the trial, which was crucial for ensuring that it would meet our team's requirements. Additionally, there was no yearly contract or special terms, and they exceeded our expectations. It was a pleasure to work with people who didn't make us feel like we were bothering them."

A decent simple ticketing system that lacks features needed for modern work.

For basic ticketing system needs, it does exceptionally well, and I could see service shops and small IT departments benefiting from it; however, without investments into some basic updates, it's hard to recommend to anybody looking for a ticketing system.

What they liked
  • Bluefolder is easy to setup and use, and the overall time to learn the product is very short
  • As a basic ticketing system, it performs very well
Room for improvement
  • The lack of features, integrations and basic security improvements you would expect in this day and age
  • The product lacks integration with most identity providers and lacks basic security options such as MFA

VERY User-Friendly

I was new to the medical industry, but BlueFolder made it easy to settle right in and know the right things to ask.

What they liked
  • It's very user friendly and I'm able to intuitively figure most stuff out
  • BlueFolder is perfect for our small company, but I can imagine it's great for any size
Room for improvement
  • Only thing I dislike is that the app is not the best - I just use the website
  • Considering that the site isn't really made for phone viewing, it's not the best option

Great Platform for Small & Medium Service Businesses

Overall, we've been happy with BlueFolder. It is a great tool for small and medium businesses to build out a field service platform. As organizations scale, like ours, it tends to give way towards a more comprehensive option.

What they liked
  • For medium-sized businesses, it's a perfect solution - it has the core features that larger service management platforms have at a fraction of the price
  • The ability to manage equipment, contracts, and service tickets all in one place, across multiple customers, is exactly what we need
  • I also appreciate the ability for customization
Room for improvement

The reporting capabilities aren't as robust (and timely) as a larger service management platform, which I suppose is to be expected

What they liked
  • Easy to use
  • Easy to configure to suit our needs (Service Request Template) Updates / improvements are automatically actioned
  • Back up assistance is prompt and helpful
  • Overall experience is good
Room for improvement
  • Not able to carry out a BLOCK DELETE of items would be my major issue
  • I appreciate you can make it discontinued - but this still leaves it on the system
  • As an example we have an ex-supplier with over a 1000 items we could delete We have two independent Blue Folder Systems and were not able to transfer blocks of data between the parent system to the child system as an example had to rebuild the client list - BF did assist with transferring some of the client data across but we should be able to export from one system and import into another system
  • Some limitations when updating costs in the item list - but it has improved over the years - we have many vendors and price changes at least twice a year for some of them
  • I export to an excel file - do the changes in the excel file - then import the changes
  • Item list needs a SORT field to make it easier to manipulate in excel - currently I use the manufacturer field with a code
  • It works but not the best solution, it is only in the last few years I have been able to do this, in the early days you could not import the manufacturer field after a change

  • It is extremely flexible and easy to jump around to different sections
  • The Smart List are a great tool to have dynamic list that are custom and restricted views
Room for improvement
  • The system is limited on alerts and notifications when reviewing a customer
  • In addition, you can only select contacts from the customer
  • It would be nice to be able to select contacts from other customers (ie the contractor who installed it)

Simply The Best!

Your personal service and care for details had been OUTSTANDING! Everyone I have spoken with there from [sensitive content hidden] and [sensitive content hidden] they all have been there for me over and over and over! . I didn't have a say in picking out this product, but I am so glad our company did so. I can't begin to thank you all for your year of wonderful service and I am so looking forward to 2025. You all have given me the confidence with expanding what I can do, with providing my company with trouble shooting suggestions and support. I can do this because of your support.
