Great Choice for our Business
Overall, our experience has been positive. There are certainly things we learned along the way that we wish we did differently during implementation but overall we are happy with our purchase and feel we made the right decision for our business moving forward. The customer support team is incredible and very responsive when we have issues or questions. They are constantly making updates and improvements to their product based on the requests of their users which is what you want to see in a software that is the heart of your business. We see BuildOps as a partnership and are excited for our future with them.
- We liked that BuildOps still has a week view on their dispatch board, not just a daily view
- This is helpful when projecting out work and building a tech's schedule
- The technician's mobile app clearly had a lot of time and research put into it and it shows
- it is intuitive to use and clean
- The one-click invoicing has been an incredible time saver for the billing team and was an immediate improvement we saw
- Overall, we also were drawn to BuildOps' customer focused model and the attitudes of their team members
- Every member of the BuildOps team was knowledgable about their product and ready and willing to answer any questions and take as many meetings as needed to make sure we were making the right decision and throughout the implementation process
- The built in quoting module has made getting quotes out to customers and tracking outstanding quotes so much simpler
- The dispatch board while good still has a bit to go to be great, if you choose to release calls individually there is only one way to do that when there are so many other actions that we are given 2-3 ways to accomplish them
- We also wish we could arrange the names on the dispatch board ourselves instead of being locked into alphabetically
- Editing an already active service agreement is also kinda clunky and requires some repetitive data entry and could be improved

We switched from ESC by FieldEdge. ESC is an on-prem software and we were looking to make the switch to something cloud-based. ESC was also no longer receiving any feature enhancements - only bug fixes and security updates.
Why they chose it
"BuildOps was the only product to offer a week-view of the dispatch board and felt like the best fit for our company. Their corporate values closely align with our own and you could tell how much they focus on product support and development. We also chose BuildOps because they prioritize their updates based on user feedback."

3 Months in - Build Ops New Users
Overall, our experience has been positive. Many individuals have claimed that their job has gotten easier since we've made the switch.
- The visibility and fluidity of movement through the software
- The software being cloud-based - Accessible from anywhere with a web browser Cut out the need for the multiple documentation software we had to utilize prior
- Some of the workflows seem to be designed around more internal staff
- Bigger corporations
- We see the long-term benefit of this, but as of right now, we have not reached that point
- Some of the workflows are more cumbersome
Switched From
Outdated database management system. No dynamic reporting. Could not rely on reporting. Outdated and hard to use mobile application.
Why they chose it
"SERVICE TRADE - not a selectable option Hoping Build Ops being younger in age would be more flexible to support our business needs as they progress as a company."

Sync Issues Make this Program Impossible to Run a Company
From a scale of 1-10 I'd say we're sitting at about a 2.5. The sales team makes a lot promises that the progrm has yet to deliver. We had a 3 month roll out until we went live. Would would think BuildOps would work flawlessly after a 30 month rollout.
- I like the Dispatch Board and how easy it is to move around scheduled jobs
- The other nice feture is how easy it is to receive payments
- The program CANNOT sync successfully with QuickBooks Desktop as promised
- Support is quick to send out an email that they are looking into the issue but slow to solve the issue

Buildops; Building the Future
Our overall experience has been absolutely wonderful! this software has been such a time saver! We have everything we need, all in one spot!
- Our favorite thing about Buildops, is the ability to view everything we need, all in one spot
- The website is fairly easy to use
- Invoicing is quick and easy due to having the ability to create forms, format them, and you can choose exactly what you want a customer to view on their invoice
- The team is insanely smart, amazing, and they do what they can to help
The only change I would really like to see the ability to insert forms that technicians can fill out (inspection forms, safety talks, accident forms) as they don't usually have the time to stop by and pick up paper copies
Switched From
the app was older, a bit slower, and was not very easy to navigate. files had gotten corrupted, items had gotten deleted, and things were not all in one spot. The customer service wasnt as helpful.

Started Bad getting better
The on boarding was a horrible experience with our initial implementation team. Once we were assigned [sensitive content hidden] things have become so much better, they both went above and beyond to fix the many issues we were experiencing.
- It is user friendly and has many options and always updating with new things
- The customer support we receive from [sensitive content hidden] is also a huge help to us
- Too many steps to create a Purchase Order
- Having to add the same property multiple times for each customer
- We have multiple customers that will send us to the same property and we have to add the same property
- It would be great if the property was created once so all the history of the property from the different customers would show up for our technicians to see

To have a more rounded program to allow for dispatching and tracking customer history.

Buildops Thumbs Up!
Overall experience has been good and the software has defiantly helped our business be more proficient.
- I like how robust the software is and how customizable it is to fit your needs
- It has really helped us stay on top of things and not let things slip through the cracks
There is some bugs from time to time and sometimes support is a little slow to solve the problem
Switched From
Service box was not nearly as robust but it was also 1/10th the cost. We were looking for a more robust software we could grow with.
Why they chose it

BuildOps honest review
Overall I am very happy with BuildOps. It is a very intuitive system to use and just "makes sense". The customer support has been absolutely phenomenal. I always get a real person on the phone when I call. When I email, I get a response back usually within a couple of hours. If there is an issue that requires a little research, they regularly email me with updates. I only have one gripe that has been consistent - there are times during the day, usually in the morning, where it can take several seconds for a page to completely load, sometimes requiring a refresh of the page. It is not a deal breaker, and I am not 100% sure I can pin it on BO and not my ISP, firewall, or other internal issue. It does get frustrating when I am on the phone with a customer or tech and have to wait for pages to load. I highly recommend BuildOps to a service/trade company whose business model would benefit from a job tracking program.
- Easy software to navigate and use efficiently
- Occasional slow page load times requiring refresh

Rock Solid Commercial HVAC Software
Our implementation went smoothly. We had some hiccups getting information out of our previous software, but we were able to transfer the information in sections, which was helpful. Technical support has been great so far and our customer representative is fantastic.
- Simple navigation and user friendly interface
- Clean, well organized pages with easy to see information
- This program easily handles our larger client asset lists and service agreements
- Technician communication with dispatch is easy with job flags and our integration with QBO has been seamless
- I would like the ability to send customer statements from BuildOps
- We use an outside accounting firm, so it's not possible for us to pop into Quickbooks to send those out
Switched From
ServiceTitan wasn't handling our commercial customers well. Longer projects would get lost off our dispatch board. Locations with large numbers of assets would get bogged down and were difficult to manage. The invoice workflow is best for one day jobs - anything longer would take much more supervision.
Why they chose it
"Service Fusion was too small and Field Edge had some work flow issues."

BuildOps revolutionized our business
Verified reviewer
- BuildOps is extremely configurable - features can be turned on and off at the company level or the user level to obtain the optimal system and workflow both for the organization and each person within the organization
- The support from BuildOps to help us set everything up initially and make changes as we need them has been phenomenal
The cost of BuildOps was significantly higher than our previous field management software provider, and that initially turned us off, but it has turned out to be a terrific investment with an excellent ROI
Switched From
Jobber was no longer doing the job for us - we outgrew it. We needed better PO/expense management, reporting and visibility on job and project profitability. BuildOps gave us the ability to do all of that.
Why they chose it
"BuildOps could really handle our expense management for field purchases in a way that none of the other systems we looked at were able to do. And their integrations with Quickbooks and fleet management are rock solid."

- The ease of use and integration of new technology
- Getting to pipeline is a little difficult, but I might just not see it
